The layout looks Great with the new turntable installed. I love the new UP passenger cars behind Big Boy and the water tenders. I am close to getting my permits to build a 5000 sqft building for my layout, it's been a 2 year process so RUclips videos help keep the excitement level up.
Jason - been watching (and now following on Instagram!) for many years. This layout is beautiful and once fully finished will be a true work of art. The craftsmanship is second to none and just something I can only dream of having one day. You should be very proud! Thanks for keeping the updates coming!
What a great video! The turntable is awesome, and will add so much to the train-running footage. Congrats on the RUclips milestones, they’re very well deserved.
good luck on your masters program. you will do fine . i am 65 yo male and have been messing with toy and model trains in one form or another . right now i live in a 620 square foot apt with a 4x4 layout w three gauges . ints nice to see young ppl in the hobby.:):):):)
Great job! Love your layout. Keep them coming. Interesting in your backdrop hanging solutions. You and Chris need to come to Texas Katy Country. Happy trails!
Larger scale layouts like G and O that are massive are always a treat. The sounds are unmatched and nothing better than more train. Ho scale guy til the end of time for myself with interests in one day a N scale side layout project but always enjoy these big scales
GREAT update!! Jason, I'm not a kid anymore and my wife and I have downsized. So I'm living out my train fantasies on RUclips and your channel is one of my "Go to" stops!!
I like the turn table. Those backdrops are going to take your layout to another level. Mountain backdrops are the way to go. It makes the layout appear endless. Thanks for sharing the updates.
Hello Jason great video I see Chris from RBP Trains made it to the cover of classic toy trains SWEEET Thanks for sharing your joy of the hobby with us Jason nah U GUYS AINT PESKY FAR FROM IT LOVE THE TURNTABLE GOT SOME NEW P42 LOCOS IN
The layout is coming along excellent. I would recommend mounting the backdrops to something other than the wall just to protect the drywall and paint. Looking forward to seeing more future progress
Great to see you back on RUclips again, Jason! A great video visit, as always. Bet it's a great feeling to have the turntable installed and operating. Looks fantastic! Thanks for the train run. The layout in progressing at a great pace and I can't wait for the next video!
What a wonder full set up I stopped my lay out my wife was yelling about the money the last time my train was set up was 1979 a big JUMP in price . I love to build model train cars you cant buy them like u did $ 5.00 to $7.00 kits so much fun JD i 64 years old and staring back up train set.
Nice going on the installation of the turntable. That back drop is going to look awesome I know you cannot wait to install. You really had quite a bit on your plate recently. Hope you get a chance to unwind at the table for awhile. Cannot wait for the next video.
Awesome job Jason, Take a look at Coroplast (corrugated plastic) sheets for your backdrop. Sheets are light weight and can be held up with screws or self adhesive Velcro strips. An added advantage is they can be curved to obscure corners.
man great job with all the trains running at the end is amazing !!! Your patience and workmanship are unbelievable this setup is much nice than the e it replaces!!!!! GO BUCKS 1973
Thanks for putting out such great content! It sounds like you don't have a lot of spare time so it nice to see your able to spend time working on the layout. I am sure its good therapy!
Very nice! The 2 bridges look amazing. I really like that style of block signal, too. The crazy-bright colors of the buildings are begging for weathering, though (in my mind's eye). In their right-out-of-the-box condition, they'd be a bit more at home on a "toy" layout, which yours clearly isn't! But... every layout is an expression of its creator...
È veramente eccezionale la sequenza della circolazione è stata effettuata perfettamente spero proprio di poetetre vedere i progressi dei lavori Eccezionale
Friend of mine used Power Grab its way better than liquid nails it comes in a caulk tube and he smeared it on the back with plastic puddy knife been up for 5 yrs I use Power Grab all time myself its the best and starts 2 set up soon as you put the back drop up
love yours and rpd layouts its due to both you and ericstrains that i got into o scale sadly for me i can only build in my room and its a 13'x12' room i currently have a track running on my wall and only have 2 locos ther starter set lionel lioncheif polar express and the lionel lioncheif+ 2.0 dock side switcher. i need to fix my curves since they are 2 O-36 curves that i plan on upgrading to O-72 but my main plan is to have a set in the corner of my room that i dont use so i have a 10'x5.5' with a 8'x3' L area to make a small layout and i play on using atlas track but cannot seem to figure out how to set it up since im still reletivly new to O scale
Hi Jason I’m so happy you shared your huge turn table please I have a quick question about your turn table May I know how much it’s cost? Thanks I really do appreciate god blessed
Jason, I'm not sure of Amtrak's rules, but on NS, no "cowcatcher end" of the locomotive should be against passenger equipment because it could damage it. I'm assuming Amtrak is the same way, because anytime they have multiple engines the run the elephant style. If you wanted your Amtrak to look more prototypical, I would suggest running both engines forward. You have an amazing eye and mind for creativity! I long to have a layout like yours, and have recently purchased the entire NS DAP OCS because of you! Keep up the great work! Thanks for all you do! Best wishes.
I'm looking forward to this video as I'm currently building a turntable from scratch. Not at all an easy endeavor. i now understand why people will pay over 2k for one of those turntables.
Jason, someday do an inventory of your rolling stock.as awesome is your layout, turntable and engines,I find your rolling stock more interesting.no slight intended.imho railroad exist to transport products and people.hence rolling stock.love your work congratulations on your you tube success
Very neat work as usual. In my experience, nothing sticks to drywall for long. I would use styrene panels or hardboard. Gorilla heavy duty spray-on works well if you spray both the hardboard and the backdrop. Of course you have about 2 seconds to get it into position, but it will hold until the year 2066. I shouldn't mention this, but you are supposed to do the backdrop first. :) Feel free to "DA" me...
Hi JD I love your layout. I’m building one also but it’s my first time. Do you suggest I get the Mills River turntable before I lay my tracks or it doesn’t matter?
Great progress on the layout Jason! Quick question. What model NYC steam engine was that on the turn table earlier in your video? Also if you could please proved the MTH model number. I would appreciate it. Thanks Anthony
Hilarious by the way “I did just pick these up…” Says the guy who stated he believed he has enough trains😁 You should practice “Hi, my name is “say your name here” And I am addicted to trains” 😂
Good evening Jason, Love the Milhouse river turntable really good just one thing I’d like to mention I am an avid viewer of your RUclips station and I am in England I’m sure I’m not the only viewer that is not in America and miss out on your giveaways is there any chance you could do something for your overseas viewers as we do not watch your live shows until the next day and obviously the giveaways have been done by then but again keep the good work up really love your channel.
Dennis, I appreciate your viewership from across the pond. You bring up a good point. Maybe in the future I'll do a morning stream over here so you can all view it.
Hi Jason, congratulations on 11.1 k subscribers. Layout looks great. I have a question. how high is your upper deck and what is your grade to get there. 2% 3% and how many ft. thanks all that you do for the model railroad hobby.
Hey Jason well I don't want to see this will be my first time I ever build my own layout and my name is also Jason Adair and this will be my first time I ever built a layout I might need a lot of strategies and some ideas for my layout
Just pure satisfaction of running trains.
Love the big boy pulling the Xtra water tenders with passenger cars.
The layout looks Great with the new turntable installed. I love the new UP passenger cars behind Big Boy and the water tenders. I am close to getting my permits to build a 5000 sqft building for my layout, it's been a 2 year process so RUclips videos help keep the excitement level up.
Can't wait to see yours come to life!
@@alexanderrodi5374 Thanks, I plan on starting a channel once I get the building permit.
Thank you! Hope you share it with the youtube world one of these days.
Jason - been watching (and now following on Instagram!) for many years. This layout is beautiful and once fully finished will be a true work of art. The craftsmanship is second to none and just something I can only dream of having one day. You should be very proud! Thanks for keeping the updates coming!
Matt, thank you for the extremely kind words. I appreciate you following for so long and I'm glad to have you along for the journey.
Fabulous!! "How does he do that?"
Already loved this guy but now that I know he’s a car guy he really went up my list of favorite RUclipsrs
What a great video! The turntable is awesome, and will add so much to the train-running footage. Congrats on the RUclips milestones, they’re very well deserved.
WOW.....WHAT A GREAT VIDEO...TURN TABLE LOOKS GREAT....RUNNING OF THE TRAINS LOOKS COOL...WHAT A FANTASTIC MAN CAVE...
Jason, I can’t believe that you can do all of the things that you do. Incredible. Keep up the great work.
Welcome back Jason. The layout is progressing and the turntable is outstanding. It's in a perfect spot. Keep'em Rolling.
Nice layout! Love your enthusiasm when revealing the turntable!

Awesome job! This project is progressing along nicely!
Good to see another video Jason. That is a nice turntable and installation of it. You are always doing such neat installs. Take care.
The layout is coming along excellent. I would recommend mounting the backdrops to something other than the wall just to protect the drywall and paint. Looking forward to seeing more future progress

Layout looking great! Signals too!
Love your signals!
Layout looks amazing. Love the turntable.
Awesome job Jason, Take a look at Coroplast (corrugated plastic) sheets for your backdrop. Sheets are light weight and can be held up with screws or self adhesive Velcro strips. An added advantage is they can be curved to obscure corners.
Looks awesome! Reminds me alot of the black diamond railway O scale layout.
Great layout, woow, in 0 scale. Really cool trainaction. Best regards from Switzerland and happy Easter
Thom

Outstanding.you get better all the time
man great job with all the trains running at the end is amazing !!! Your patience and workmanship are unbelievable this setup is much nice than the e it replaces!!!!! GO BUCKS 1973

Most impressive!
Really Enjoyed the video!! Fantasic!!!
I see you got the monogahela heritage unit on the shelf
love yours and rpd layouts its due to both you and ericstrains that i got into o scale sadly for me i can only build in my room and its a 13'x12' room i currently have a track running on my wall and only have 2 locos ther starter set lionel lioncheif polar express and the lionel lioncheif+ 2.0 dock side switcher. i need to fix my curves since they are 2 O-36 curves that i plan on upgrading to O-72 but my main plan is to have a set in the corner of my room that i dont use so i have a 10'x5.5' with a 8'x3' L area to make a small layout and i play on using atlas track but cannot seem to figure out how to set it up since im still reletivly new to O scale
Hey Jason how are u doing buddy just working my ho scale layout soon be fished this year I am happy about it
Always love to see your NS collection run JD the turntable looks great!
Seems that guys who modern prototypical trains in O scale are getting harder to find now. Everything looks fantastic, keep up the good work.
Great job on the turn table On your backdrop I used self sticking Velcro which is nice because you can make adjustments as needed
That's a great idea too!
Hi Jason I’m so happy you shared your huge turn table please I have a quick question about your turn table May I know how much it’s cost? Thanks I really do appreciate god blessed
Wow JD great layout, post more love your video's!
Thanks!
Yes! Turntable. So jealous! Love it! Oh, is that your car in front of the MTH electric trains building or a different one, ha-ha.
Thanks Sean!

Thanks for the heads up. Glad you found the DAP set. Took me a long time to get mine.
I'm looking forward to this video as I'm currently building a turntable from scratch. Not at all an easy endeavor. i now understand why people will pay over 2k for one of those turntables.
Pretty awesome layout! I really like the turntable but the item that will take your already spectacular layout to the next level will be the backdrop.
Jason, someday do an inventory of your rolling stock.as awesome is your layout, turntable and engines,I find your rolling stock more interesting.no slight intended.imho railroad exist to transport products and people.hence rolling stock.love your work congratulations on your you tube success
Awesome update!
Thanks Chris!
Love the turntable..... I want one on my layout..... do you think they come in HO scale??
Awesome video 🚂❤️😎👍
Trainz has a few packs of Lionel UP 21” cars that would go great with your big boy
I saw! I'm going to stay with my 5 for now.
dang nice car LOVE IT
You should get a steremlind Hutson
Very neat work as usual. In my experience, nothing sticks to drywall for long. I would use styrene panels or hardboard. You're right. Should have installed the backdrops first. Oh well. I'll remember it for the next layout.
Hi JD I love your layout. I’m building one also but it’s my first time. Do you suggest I get the Mills River turntable before I lay my tracks or it doesn’t matter?
Are the pencil drawings available anywhere? My boys would love the Big Boy picture.
Nice hope to get a turntable at some point in the future.
Worth it!
Do you have 🚗 cars in your train car carriers.
Hey..... Thought I'd ask....Do you have the 86' NS box car with "graffiti" it is Amazing!!!
Here to see that turntable! Lol
Great progress on the layout Jason! Quick question. What model NYC steam engine was that on the turn table earlier in your video? Also if you could please proved the MTH model number. I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Anthony
Anthony, I'll try to get the model number when I get home. Its an MTH premier Hudson with PS3.
Thanks Jason! Safe travels.
Nice video as always! Was that the Monongahela heritage unit?
Hilarious by the way
“I did just pick these up…”
Says the guy who stated he believed he has enough trains😁
You should practice
“Hi, my name is “say your name here”
And I am addicted to trains”
😂
How big is your train layout.
Good evening Jason,
Love the Milhouse river turntable really good just one thing I’d like to mention I am an avid viewer of your RUclips station and I am in England I’m sure I’m not the only viewer that is not in America and miss out on your giveaways is there any chance you could do something for your overseas viewers as we do not watch your live shows until the next day and obviously the giveaways have been done by then but again keep the good work up really love your channel.
Dennis, I appreciate your viewership from across the pond. You bring up a good point. Maybe in the future I'll do a morning stream over here so you can all view it.
Helo Jason, are you going to do a open house this year? If so when.
I have not decided if I"m doing one yet. We'll see.
Hi Jason, congratulations on 11.1 k subscribers. Layout looks great. I have a question. how high is your upper deck and what is your grade to get there. 2% 3% and how many ft. thanks all that you do for the model railroad hobby.
Upper deck is 7 1/2 inches above the main level. 2.5% grade to get up there.
Thank you so much.
Looking great!!! Are you planning on getting the 1218 when it's released?
Not currently. Should be a great engine though.
When I am model Railroading roading I Never Worry bout Time.
Is the NS operation lifesaver a new engine?
Nope ;)
Nice man
Your do awesome man love that Turn table
Hey Jason well I don't want to see this will be my first time I ever build my own layout and my name is also Jason Adair and this will be my first time I ever built a layout I might need a lot of strategies and some ideas for my layout
Nice 11.1k subs I wish I could do that
