      Hey Nick, thank you very much. The turntable has turned out to be more fun than I could have expected. It used to be just running trains in a circle now I have the ability to move engines around and build trains. It has taken the layout to a new level. Thank you again for the great comments.

    Excellent video Darren. I was wanting to go with a millhouse rivers turntable but after seeing this video I may have to look into the Ross table. Layout is looking outstanding.

      Hey Chuck, thank you. The Miilhouse Rivers Turntable is great too and I think you would be happy with either. If I can help you in any way please let me know. Thank you again.

      Darren, did you consider Millhouse River Studios for the turntable as well? Do you find that Ross is equal and/or better?

    • @Building_America
      @Building_America  7 лет назад

      Yes I did, but I got this one brand new for less than half of the price of either turntable so it was a no-brainer.

    • @Building_America
      @Building_America  7 лет назад

      The Ross turntable is very smooth and the quality of the build it excellent the only drawback is the size, it is very large and takes up a good bid of space.

    What kind of toggle switches did you use? 2 way/3 way? Also how did you wire it? Thanks.

    • @Building_America
      @Building_America  5 лет назад

      I used Gardner Bender 8 Amp Single Pole Toggle Switches. I got them from Home Depot. If you look at Layout Update #32 I explain how I wired them. Thank you for watching.

    What roundhouse is that and where did you get? Also could you show me your track plans as I am planning mine and need the measurements of the turntable with a 6stall round house together.

    • @Building_America
      @Building_America  3 года назад +1

      Hello Theo, the roundhouse is by Korber and I had it custom built by Allan Graziano. I would love to be able to show you the track plan but the layout has come down. If you look at some of my videos you should be able to see how built the layout. I can tell you that you need at least 5 inches from the turntable to the roundhouse. If you are running larger engines like Big Boys make sure you leave enough space on the approach to the turntable for the engine to straighten out. I hope that I was able to help you and if you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you for watching and commenting.

    Firehawk the way I'm understanding it the ross turntable is all preprogrammed stop points? And your whisker tracks have to be lined up with the table. Unlike the mill house turntable where you program the the table to line up how ever you want it?

    • @Building_America
      @Building_America  4 года назад +1

      The is 1000% correct! It is also one of the reasons why I am changing to the Millhouse turntable with my new layout.

    • @Dachamp2001

      @@Building_America I can see the ross turntable being serface on big Layouts or layouts with unlimited room lol. But most Layouts include mine space is a premium lol

    • @Building_America
      @Building_America  4 года назад +1

      @@Dachamp2001 I agree, my current layout is large and has plenty of room for it. My next layout is going to be smaller however I made sure to design a turntable into it.
