Like you I was fortunate to collect many pieces, most with under 2 hours run time, now many deterioating from nonuse. But that turntable will serve you well, for years...for a generation. And not lifting, repeatedly, those heavy engines, will serve you well. Kudos on that turntable installation, challenging. I've got only an old atlas turntable, not run since my old layout 25 years ago with my dad's help.
Great video Sid. Having the original Postwar 2343 A-B-A is as iconic as it gets. I was fortunate enough to get an original 1952 #2190W Super Speedliner set about 20 years ago with the add on #2343C “B” unit, and a #2530 Large Door Baggage Car that someone was getting rid of. It is definitely my most treasured and favorite set I own. I use it during the holidays around the Christmas tree. I just love seeing it and hearing it. The 50’s technology with the diesel horn sound sets it apart from everything else. It screams Lionel .
Awesome video update Sid. I especially like the turntable. Looking forward to when you add a roundhouse. Keep up with the great work; always learn something new from your videos.
Hey sid Victor from New Jersey I've been trying to talk to all of you guys you and your RUclips buddies. I'm with you on a big articulated engines huge freight big coal drags that's where it's at it's a great video love your new turntable and a big boy looks phenomenal on it hope to see you at York
Great Video, now you just need the Most Powerful Steam Locomotive which was the Q2 Pennsylvania 4-4-6-4 at close to 8,000 HP which by herself could pull in real life 137 Freight Cars Recorded. Most think Big Boy or Allegheny Class were the Strongest but there Wrong as going to Washington, DC looking up in achieves that the Q2 was and is the Strongest Pulling American Steam Locomotives ever made which wasn't articulated. Second would be The Yellowstone Steam Loco. Big Boy was only the Longest that's all as the Challenger was the Predecessor to the Big Boy. Love the Video keep it up as it will change, awesome Hobby most kids don't have now a days which need to.
Extraordinary video you've got your layout plans down to a tee Extraordinary running session God bless you 🙏 and your family that 261 is an awesome looking locomotive 🚂
nice layout! I like your setup and all the work that must have gone into it. As a european the first thing i recognize is your gauce and the third rail which is new to me and remembers me a lot of märklin. Wish you all the best :)
Congratulations on the Turn Table Sid. Thought if Lionel made the Santa Fe diesels 0 scale Legacy, could be a good addition to their product line. Love you tech work on Chris' steam engine adding whistle steam effect. Nice
I'm so jealous of your turntable! That is fantastic. Wish I had the room for one. Love the crossover too. I think that's the first one I have seen in Fastrack. What are the dimensions of your layout?? Fantastic job!
Thanks Sean. I love the turntable. Yeah I've had this crossover for a while. Did a video probably 2 years ago now on it. Really cool to have the ability to switch trains with it. The table is roughly 160 ft^2. The table is in an L shape so the dimensions are wacky.
I have a vintage 665 needs a lot of work I thought about having you rebuild it for me how would you feel if I gave it to you old school freight train and all its parts let me know if you're interested if so we'll work that out have a good day
Reason I'm thinking of you but you are an electrical engineer to be very educated and rebuilding all these things and I'd love to see it run on your rail I checked my emails not so frequently I'm a carpenter if I don't get back to you right away don't think I'm blowing you off I'll be looking for you have a nice day
Hey Sid how much would you charge me to switch my Lionel Tmcc C&O 2.10.4 Texas in too a Mth ps2 -3 Locomotive 🚂 it's in Excellent shape l just don't run Lionel anymore Only Mth Primere Locomotives And l have a Lionel legacy George Bush 4141 that l would like to get rid of as Well comes with Everything low Time as Well ,thank you 😉 😀 Happy Railroading 😊

Hey Sid! Well done on the layout! That’s a cool turntable! Unfortunately, my 12x8 is too small for one but I don’t mind.
It's not too small, unless you just want a turntable. All kidding aside, it doesn't matter the size of the layout, just matters if you enjoy it.
I'm so jealous of your turntable! That is fantastic. Wish I had the room for one. Love the crossover too. I think that's the first one I have seen in Fastrack. What are the dimensions of your layout?? Fantastic job!
