Their dialogue is what seemed so similar to me before I even considered the voice! And yeah I totally get what you mean, i love both characters so much separately it's hard to imagine one's voice as the other's.

I was about to comment that at the beginning I thought it was a voice clip of Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka and I saw the picture and I'm like omg but then it was a different voice. I think Willy Wonka wouldve worked perfect.

I think you are spot on with Linus, he's always reminded me of Robin Williams. I think you nailed it with Kent, too.
I've always thought Elliot sounded a lot like Chris Hemsworth, down to the slight British accent--maybe because Chris is at his best when he's being a bit goofy.
And I kind of thought Mr. Qi sounds like Tommy Lee Jones.

These headcanon voices are so accurate!! 😭😭 I especially loved Sebastian's, Leo's, Emily's, Linus', Abigail's and Elliot's-- AND CLINT'S CLIP WAS TOO FUNNY LOL

This is the first time I've seen one of these where I feel like every voice reasonably fits, to a point where I think I could just hear the voice and match it accurately up to the character. So long as characters like Bouncer aren't in the mix x)

I never thought of Kent having Mr, Fox's voice but I love it.
Sebastian, Robin, and Qi are a bit off for me-otherwise pretty spot on. RIP Robin Williams, he would’ve been amazing as a gentle hearted wild man like Linus.
Very fair, tbh a lot of these voices were harder than I thought. I'm not 100% comfortable with all of my choices for the characters, hopefully I realize some better options later. Also I was very proud of Linus, I don't know how I managed to connect Mr. Williams to his character but I'm very happy I did. Thank you

These are really good! I never really headcannoned voices, but there is one, and that's Gunther. For Gunther I always heard Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone in my head, something about Gunther using basically an old dead accent/dialect seemed to fit (quick history lesson for those who are unfamiliar: Doc Holliday was friends with the Earp brothers in the wild west days and was one of the only highly educated men in the area, so his speech pattern in particular was different even back then. For the movie Tombstone, which was a retelling of the events that led up to the shootout at the O.K. Corral, Val Kilmer studied with a dialect historian to try to recreate the accent since it died out and is no longer in use).

i'm writing a speech critique for my speech class tomorrow. it is currently 10:19, and I have been working on this for more than an hour...when i tell you elliott as christian bale as howl stopped me from writing for a whole minute, i am not lying.
I always saw Elliot’s voice as more of a Matt Mercer kinda role, akin to Yusuke from Persona 5
I never played Persona 5 but hearing that character now I totally agree - his voice is also super accurate!
I would die if Matt Mercer voiced Elliott. That level of perfection should never be achieved in a man, even a fictional one.

interesting choice, now i try to figure out who can narrate the characters too, but i only have three now.
For Linus it is fitting that i chose Peer Augustinski. He is the German Voice for Robin and died shortly after him.
For Kent, i imagine David Nathan. He voices Johnny Depp and CHristian Bale in German.
And for Marnie i imagine Franziska Troegner. She played the German Mother in Charlie and the chocolate Factory (2005).
