Thank you for uploading this series of teachings! Some Takeaways:
    1. Everything that we pursue essentially is to pursue permanent happiness and complete cessation of suffering/unhappiness. We are not successful because we are looking at the wrong places. It exists in yourself, your real nature: infinite existence, infinite consciousness, infinite bliss. The whole pursuit of Vedanta is to pursue that: find the open secret within.
    2. The entire Bhagavad Gita can be summarized as “Atman Jnana/ The knowledge and realization of the true Self.”
    3. Practice the harmony of four Yogas: Karma Yoga -> Raja Yoga ->Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga
    4. The Bhagavad Gita is a practical and concentrated summary of the Upanishads.
    5. Many Western thoughts, such as Transcendentalism, were heavily influenced by Vedanta.
    6. Too busy for spiritual practices? The answer is in Karma Yoga: Divinize and spiritualize your daily “worldly” actions. Swami Vivekananda said: One way of doing Karma yoga is to divinize your relationship with humans and humanize your relationship with God.
    7. A desire to transcend duality is a grace of God. Shankaracharya: The atman chooses the one who chooses it.

Thank you Swamiji. Whosoever has made this video is not professional. The guy who is shown in this video (other than Swamiji) is so restless. Children also watch these videos for real learning, this guy is distracting, so children can close their eyes to listen to our Swamiji. Also sound quality is not so good. But teachings are perfect.

The purpose of Gita is to motivate a skilled warrior, Arjun, who inspite of being in full battle gear facing huge enemy army, has been overcome with dilema to fight or not to fight, remembering of evils of war, death of near and dear ones, sufferings of widows, orphaned children, birth of bustards and consequent destruction of social fabric etc., to fight, for otherwise battle can never be won. This is Arjun lamenting yoga.
The speaker in video says, to get motivated think yourself as Bramha immortal and practice Raj, Karma, Gyan yogas. But, no amount of contemplating, as I am Brahma or performing Raj, Karma, Gyan yogas will annihilate fear of death from mind, for otherwise great spiritualists would have been great warriors. Besides, Gita is based on duality vedanta and hence, there is no scope of thinking, "I am Bramha" .
In Gita, Krishna did not say a word, for or against the war, but explained to the warrior the futility of his thinking process, by saying while you are talking like wise man, you are fearful of things that you should not think of and a wise man does not think of either past or future. (Ch2/11) A man should not be fearful to join ethical war. It is your duty. Warriors love to get opportunity to die in battle field to go to heaven. If you do not fight, you will not only neglect your duty, people will brand you as coward. Such branding is more than death to a proud man. If you die in the war, you will get heaven, if you win, riches of the world will be at your feet. Consider gain and loss, win and defeat, happiness and sorrow, as same and fight for fight sake, as in such case sin will not touch you. This is called wisdom yoga in Sankhya Philosophy.(C2/31 to 39).
Gita is not for old or dying, but for warriors to fight fearlessly without worrying about outcome, as outcome is not in their hands, and as death is inevitable, it is preferable to die in battlefield than as an escapist for salvation.

Swami Eats Meat and never talks on the subject of Meat. He surely will be reborn again till he gives up meat. How can you teach Compassion towards others and yet eat meat?

    • @Shreya8b

Used to think like you previously Mr. Gopal. I really love animals. I feed stay animals. i hate animal sacrifice and in spite of hailing from a Bengali family which is non vegetarian I hate the very smell of fishes.
But let me narrate you a very small story which changed my perspective. I am an initiated disciple of swami smaranananda ji of the ramakrishna order. even after being initiated i was very skeptical about all this spirituality , heaven , god etc. whenever i read about sri ramakrishna's love for food and sweet and fishes , i felt funny , ( yes he was non vegetarian ).In 2012 i was having severe problem back And I almost lost the hope that could ever walk again but my sri sri thakur cured me of all my pain .. It would be too lengthy if i write every thing but ramakrishna paramhansa is no ordinary saint he is really an god himself .. yes we hindus do not believe in miracles like the christians , we believe in karma. but trust me sir miracles do happen and thakur can perform miracles. If you don't believe me when ever you are in pain or in trouble take his name i gaurantee you will experience his love and all your problems will vanish.

exactly sir this had no bearing with the swami eating meat, just like your comment had nothing to do with bhagvat geeta.. :(
