- Daniel Ricciardo has in recent years been one of Formula 1’s greatest assets. He’s made a distinct image for himself with his big smile, charming sense of humour, and unfiltered mouth. With his rather abrupt and anti-climactic downfall, it’s easy to forget that this time 10 years ago he was a monster on track and considered the next rising star. Unfortunately, the arrival of an even bigger star not long after meant his full potential was never fulfilled. Nonetheless, despite never taking the title, he ends his Formula 1 career with eight Grand Prix wins, none of which came easy. Unlike his contemporaries Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, Ricciardo did not decorate his career by leading races from the front and disappearing into the distance; he had to work for his wins and put in the hard graft, like a true racer. Here is Daniel Ricciardo’s eight Grand Prix wins ranked.

#F1 #Formula1 #ricciardo
I hope he gets a chance in another high class racing series. IndyCar, WEC or such
Weirdly, I can see him thriving in WRC
NASCAR suits him the most i guess
@@digitaldeathsquid3448 I could see him in the Supercars Championship.
@@dannystavs2003I reckon if he were to do supercars he'd probably do Bathurst and maybe 2 other races as wild cards, just me but I don't think he'd do a full season
The only race I've ever watched in person, was China 2018. One heck of a race. One heck of a performance by Danny Ric.
I still think that Ricciardo's best race was the Monaco win but maybe thats just me
Lando most definitely did not "decide to hold position" because he couldn't overtake him.
What are you implying?
@@TomBoss123 Lando was on the radio telling Daniel to pick up the pace. A quick search on RUclips would show the same 👍🏼
@@ravenc703 I know what Lando said on the radio, I saw the race live. Again, what are you implying? That he voluntarily held back? Why would he do that? Bottom line is, he couldn't overtake Daniel or else he would have.
He gave us something like James Morrison. 😂🤣
Deserved more wins but Redbull at the time only could get the odd win or when Merc slipped up. Shame
I swear he had more than 8
He deserved more, at least
It would've been 9 had his pit crew had the tyres ready at Monaco 2016
if he had managed to sign with ferrari in 2019, he probably wouldn’t have been what he is rn
would never have happened. it was clear from when Kimi announced he was going to Sauber that Charles would be the one to replace him, considering his performances and the fact he was the junior that ferrari were putting everything on
It's unfortunate how much he was held back by reliability. If not, he would've been able to challenge for more wins and crucially Verstappen himself. It's also the fact that Red Bull prioritized Verstappen in developing the team and car around him, so it's ultimately unsurprising that Ricciardo decided to leave.
My ranking for Daniel Ricciardo's all eight wins:
1) 🇲🇨 2018 Monaco Grand Prix
2) 🇨🇳 2018 Chinese Grand Prix
3) 🇦🇿 2017 Azerbaijani Grand Prix
4) 🇨🇦 2014 Canadian Grand Prix
5) 🇮🇹 2021 Italian Grand Prix
6) 🇧🇪 2014 Belgian Grand Prix
7) 🇭🇺 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix
8) 🇲🇾 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix
For me, five of them was reached at top tier circuit, and the remaining three wins was reached at great circuit.
Anyway, nice video, Peter Brook!

i wonder if he wakes up every day wishing he never left red bull
He still got the millions of extra dollars he got from leaving so I don't think it's all that bad.
I wonder if you wakes up everyday wondering anything more meaningful
than someone wishing himself beaten by same teammate forever everyday he wakes up.
I honestly doubt it would've changed much. He just fell off as soon as he got to mcclaren, and he didn't exactly set the world alight in RB either. I just think he's slightly washed up. And theres no way he wouldn't have been beaten by Verstappen every year anyway, well maybe not every year but as soon as the had a Championship level car.
I think by 2018 he knew max was going to get preferential treatment he he was shuttled back to no 2 driver like mark Webber before him was the deciding factor and the car rule changes to breaking systems was his downfall because even in the Renault he was beating Norris and Saintz in an inferior car and even Norris has said when he had a car to his liking he was great
I don't know if this is actually the end, but in case it is for Danny Ric, he will be deeply missed 😢❤️
Nice work one again, Peter!
I was never a huge Badger fan!!! But Redbull dropping him WHEN: Horner is fighting multiple fronts. The best Designer has jumped ship. Max has one foot out the door, and EVERYONE thinks they are gobshites!!! ........I know.......lets get rid of one of the most loved drivers on the grid!!!! Lets add the PR team for their list of FK ups!!!
was nothing to do with PR. He has been beaten soundly by Tsunoda this year, and you have Bearman who is only 5 points behind him despite doing 2 races all year
They are just a drink company doing their business and clearly know what they are doing. Public could just leave them alone, they are not going anywhere.
@@stibblr I agree, just saying that getting rid of the smiliest driver on the grid is not helping their already unlikable image!!! Lawson is the best choice!!! But Sort your image out first!!! No?
It’s such a shame Riccardo had faded away too soon, I hope he’ll find better greener pastures in WEC or IndyCar.
I missed watching Hungary 2014 live, and I wasn’t even mad. But attending a close relative’s 100th birthday party doesn’t happen every day.
Tbh as someone who didn't get to see the the 2014 season I don't really get the absurd levels of hype for daniel.
His worth in this sport is so much more than 8 wins. F1 needed someone like Danny
Another Newey OTP driver. If Vettel was fan of infinity downforce, Daniel was king of late braking, braking with tremendous confidence. One of reasons why he still successful in Renault that PU fits with his driving style and also suggested that one of reasons fallout with Red Bull was that he was against Honda, despite Renault reliability woes. After transfer to McLaren his weakness was at full picture. Prime years 2014-2016 narrow hybrid turbo cars, when cars were nimble.
6:05ish. Subtly slipping in the "Ooooooolkenberg"....
Noice 😉
that's how you're supposed to pronounce his name, its ü. he didn't reference anything and didnt hold the u out.
@@dylanf1 You wanty lighten up, lightweight.
Ooooooolkenberg.
Oooooooooooooooooolkenberg.
Hulkenburg 😘
Nice list. Can you also rank all GP of Ricciardo? Or at least the Top Ten races?
