I’m really on the fence, I’m torn between the e ride pro ss and the sting r mx4 I test ride both of them and liked the feel of the pro ss a lot more but I am in southern Nevada and worried that the lack of the gearbox my bike would overheat quite a bit does the gearbox make the sting r a better bike for my area or should I go with the e ride pro ss?

I’m in Vegas and have had both. The only advantage I give the sting r how QUIET it is. I have the e ride now, and it is soooo loud. BUUUT e ride is better with range, power, everything.

The Mx4 is not on the stock OEM CST tires. Therefore increasing the rotating mass and decreasing the overall range, ie. the bike having to work harder to turn the wheels. That wasn't mentioned.. interesting. Then another factor is riding habits. I can consistently get more range then my other 2 friends with identical Mx4's riding in the same conditons, same distances just different wrists turning the throttle. Also rider weights play a big roll in these tests... I would love to see a retest done more in depth with similar style riders in all regards. Weight, riding capabilities etc.
