Always were if you didn't want a belt, poopy suspension and weird quirks like the 1.0 turbo button or the non-functional 2.0 turbo button or (apparently) the fact that you have to wait hours to recharge the battery after riding it hard (are the Talaria Boys alone in that experience??). I like the E-Ride but was never tempted to upgrade from my MX4. The MX5, however...yeah that's tempting. Might just continue building my MX4 since I have a couple grand invested in upgrades already and see what they do next year with the MX6
Such a good review. Both rides are sweet. After I threw on the EBMX X-9000 on my Eride Pro SS 2.0 it didn't really matter after that. All us boys send all our surRons, Talarias, Erides, into the dirt all day and they huck as hard as the rider can give. Plus, there are so many mods nowadays that either bike will work depending on the rider's preference. But out of the box cost to quality ratio? Yeah, the Talria MX5 definitely shows up. Great review!
I'm an E-ride 2.0 owner and clearly the MX5 is the better stock option. But I've upgraded the controller, suspension, tires, etc on my E-ride and it will smoke an MX5 while being much lighter. But that did come with a hefty price tag.
upgrading the eRide Pro only goes so far, Jack-Shafts will never be capable of owning a Gear Box. So once the next generation 3.0 eRide Pro is released with a Gear Boss the 2.0 becomes totally obsolete.
All the mx5 needs is a controller to murder that. Bridger has already been working on the Vesc tune for the mx5 and pulled over 20kw from the stock pack.
Pre ordered pro ss a couple days ago. I’m from the uk and this video has made me cancel the order and pre order the mx5 instead 😂. It not due to release until mid October but I feel it’s the right move and will definitely be worth the wait 😁
Fantastic comparison. I 100% agree with everything, especially the Talaria's fit and finish, and the overall quality. Everything feels more polished and more premium.
When you mentioned the different charge times and the Eride Pro SS needing to cool for hours before charging, it got me curious. Talaria MX5 states clearly it's using Samsung 21700 50S cells. While Eride Pro SS states proudly it's using Samsung 21700 cells.. a little vague. Multiple sources state the Eride Pro is actually using Samsung 21700 50E cells which explains the drastic differences. Samsung 50s cells have a higher discharge and charge rate. More torque and faster charging.
Every one who bought a eride had the charging problem and electrical harness comes loose and melt the battery and harness and I watched you guys beat the heck out of the eride and beat every bike you guys are making a difference

I think that more accurately reflects this kind of scoring review video.
Great review and comparisons! I have a fully rebuilt Surron with every component EBMX has had in their arsenal. But seeing the MX5 I can see it won't be too long before stock bikes are as good as the one I've put together...but they're not there yet.

I dont care about the overall max power of the e ride vs the power of the mx4 just care about how robust the bike is. I spoke with eride and they weren't to confident about 12kilo more like 8k -10 and peaks at 12k at full battery and crazy to say Mid battery but not to much in between ! Wish the MX5 was a bit lighter and came with all black. It would've been an easier choice for me as a lighter rider. I just don't wanna pay $200 more for an E-ride just because of those two reasons when the MX5 beats it at pretty much all the other specs for LESS money. I had my mind set on E-ride but now im stuck with choosing again.

SR is looking like a beast but will be to much power for a lot of people in my opinion
Id buy one but no idea where i can legally ride one where im currently at. Just would be fun to have
I know it might have some legal snafus, but its hard to find kits to have turn signals and brake lights, for those of us that want to register, if you guys could make a good set for these i think you would sell a ton.
should do the mx5 vs one of y’all’s upgraded sting r
which one has the battery issue? seen videos of one of the bikes catching fire
Are you guys planning on reviewing the sigma?
These 2 bikes are done for, will not be able to keep up with the Sigma in any category besides the aftermarket department.
Yes we were supposed to have already but things kept falling through on the companies end, frustrating!
@@Talariaboys Cant wait for your review on that one, id like to see that legendary range test on the sigma
@Talariaboys will like to see the build comparison and range test for sure.
How many years is the battery good for . I would like to purchase one but unsure if it's worth 5,000 dollars if battery doesn't last at least 3 years
I spoke with eride and they weren't to confident about 12kilo more like 8k -10 and peaks at 12k at full battery and crazy to say Mid battery but not to much in between ! I've notice my Eride gets way more snappier around 50 percent battery sorta like at 95% but no real in between continuing from that 60% to like 80% 👀
Good to know
@@Talariaboys they coming out with a new one right before summer 😉They coming for ya TB 😂 👍
Why don’t you guys review the new RAWRR MANTIS X
Very curious to know what you guys think of it , because the spec sheets on paper look great as compared to the low price !
Its build quality is not the best…
We are trying to get our hands on one, it does look like a decent bike for the price
Mx5’s come all black. The graphics kit you see is put on by the user once you get it.
are you guys gonna review the new falcon pro
Your video is always helpful! Keep up the good work and god bless!!! Would like to know if all of the upgrades for the Mx4 will work on the MX5?
Lots of the mx4 upgrades will fit but also a lot won't, stay tuned for our future upgrade video
@@Talariaboys I had seen that the front fork is wider and didn’t know what options would be for different forks and shocks if they need them? Thanks
Altis review coming? Would like a mx5 comparison
Coming
Belts are date lout and old abd brake leaving you stranded. 20pts here to mx5
I sub to this channel for ebike news and reviews - but I'm also getting trendsetting fashion tips - socks and flipflops - Nice!
What does the eride weigh once you do all the upgrades to make it equal to the mx5. Forks, wheels, and little things like the brakes, pegs, etc?
A lot more than it does now but still not as much as a mx5, it just has a lighter frame and the belt drive is lighter than the Talaria gear box.
Great videos guys, I def want the MX5. Are the batteries self balancing? What app connects to the BMS?
Yes they are self balancing at the end of the charge, Use the ANT BMS app to connect and you can see all the info.
@@Talariaboys cool thanks! Now I just need to find someone to buy my ONYX and not take a bath
Have an eride but less than 1k miles and the throttle gave out, Eride does have its issues still new I'd wait til 3rd or 4th gen to get an eride
Hey TB I had an issue today with my eride. While I was riding my power cut off giving me an error code, found it it meant that my motor over heated. Is there any fixes I can do to restore full power and keep my motor from breaking down ?? Thanks
dope video dude, guess ill have to start modifying my E ride. welp
When are you going to bring a video showing which aftermarket mx4 parts will fit an mx5 such as sprockets wheels etc
Coming soon, probably being posted in 7-10 days, we are still test fitting parts
@@Talariaboys cool
What do you think would be better for a tall rider?
Mx5
CRF230F, XR250R, XR400
Is this nosehill park Calgary?
Hi talaria boys! I was wondering if yall had any tips to save up for a electric dirtbike!
Wrong video to ask for that
