      Always were if you didn't want a belt, poopy suspension and weird quirks like the 1.0 turbo button or the non-functional 2.0 turbo button or (apparently) the fact that you have to wait hours to recharge the battery after riding it hard (are the Talaria Boys alone in that experience??). I like the E-Ride but was never tempted to upgrade from my MX4. The MX5, however...yeah that's tempting. Might just continue building my MX4 since I have a couple grand invested in upgrades already and see what they do next year with the MX6

    Such a good review. Both rides are sweet. After I threw on the EBMX X-9000 on my Eride Pro SS 2.0 it didn't really matter after that. All us boys send all our surRons, Talarias, Erides, into the dirt all day and they huck as hard as the rider can give. Plus, there are so many mods nowadays that either bike will work depending on the rider's preference. But out of the box cost to quality ratio? Yeah, the Talria MX5 definitely shows up. Great review!

    I'm an E-ride 2.0 owner and clearly the MX5 is the better stock option. But I've upgraded the controller, suspension, tires, etc on my E-ride and it will smoke an MX5 while being much lighter. But that did come with a hefty price tag.

    • @shockadellick
      @shockadellick 3 месяца назад +3

      upgrading the eRide Pro only goes so far, Jack-Shafts will never be capable of owning a Gear Box. So once the next generation 3.0 eRide Pro is released with a Gear Boss the 2.0 becomes totally obsolete.

    When you mentioned the different charge times and the Eride Pro SS needing to cool for hours before charging, it got me curious. Talaria MX5 states clearly it's using Samsung 21700 50S cells. While Eride Pro SS states proudly it's using Samsung 21700 cells.. a little vague. Multiple sources state the Eride Pro is actually using Samsung 21700 50E cells which explains the drastic differences. Samsung 50s cells have a higher discharge and charge rate. More torque and faster charging.

    I think giving one point for every category is a little unfair in a review video, it seems unfair that a good headlight is the same point as a large battery, or higher kW, I would like to see a weighted point system in future reviews. Mx4 or e ride pro? I found both brand new for the same price at a local dealership. Im only around 125 pounds however my xxx isnt cutting it. Its for sale rn and im looking into the e ride pro ss. I hit big jumps and the only reason I am upgrading is for frame, wheels, and suspension out of the box . I like sending big jumps to flat and hitting up the dirtbike track. I blew out stock talaria factory forks, talaria factory shock, broke 2 spokes, and the hole where the shock bolts to the swingarm has some play and makes noise. I dont care about the overall max power of the e ride vs the power of the mx4 just care about how robust the bike is. Also the throttle curve/delivery of the power is a big part of buying the bike for me, how do you compare the xxx stock throttle curve to the throttle curve of the mx4 and eride? Which is most similar to the xxx, which is better for wheelies, and which is more "tamable" in the dirt. Also ive heard people talk great about the stock e ride suspension, including tallon pemberton and he sends it, mabye you guys are getting the older model 1.0 forks? Thanks 🙏

    Would love to see a video on wheel and tire options. I know most companies are still developing them for the mx5 but just incase you guys got the inside scoops 😉. I'm coming from the usual 20x4 fat tire background and definitely miss that stable feeling when riding compared to the stock mx5 wheels and tires.

    Charging fast is cool in all but I would rather charge my battery slower so it lasts a lot longer

    • @Talariaboys
      @Talariaboys  3 месяца назад

      Ya it really doesn't matter that much man, these batteries are rated at over 2000 cycles before they even start to lose range or power... Start doing the math and you realize that if you got 35 miles a cycle you'd have to ride your bike 70,000 miles before you started wearing out your battery. Which you won't do so it doesn't matter and faster charging is just better!

    Wish the MX5 was a bit lighter and came with all black. It would've been an easier choice for me as a lighter rider. I just don't wanna pay $200 more for an E-ride just because of those two reasons when the MX5 beats it at pretty much all the other specs for LESS money.
