Nice video, brings back a lot of memories...did this in the 90's, same kit with the P600B blower unit and twin intercoolers. Back then, you also had to punch a hole in the oil pan. I ended up breaking 3 pistons at 9 lbs boost. I rebuilt the engine in 1999 with forged pistons and h beam rods. Then ran 12 lbs boost with a 12 rib belt. It made 525 rwhp with longtube headers and twin cats, blower cam, ported heads.. By this time, you should have installed a roll cage because the torque will twist the car. Keep in mind, the centrifugal will make noise, after awhile I got sick of it and switched to a vortech helical cut gearblower. It seemed to run better, making more low end torque. I hated their water-to-air cooler though and ended up selling that. I still have the blower though.
you sent me a video of superchargers saying you notice i was looking into the and asked me if their was anything i wanted yall to cover in yalls how to video. i asked you to do a procharger on a lt1 and you did it and did with what the month. thank you. most people may ask what do people want see but when they reply it takes them forever if they even do it, not you. thanks for your how tos and all the great info.
Just curious , what would it cost to have this done ? Labor + material = ??? I have 94 Trans AM and would love to have this on my car but I would definitely have someone do it for me !!! Great video and Thanks for sharing !!!
You the man!! For real. I wish so badly I was able to work on vehicles at any level. This install seemed so smooth to you. How long has it taken to get to the level of knowledge about automobiles rhat you currently possess? Im sure it cant be learned overnight. Being able to navigate your way through the electical components of a vehicle is mind boggling to me,and to most everyone else on earth! Keep up the videos! Youre a pro in my opinion.
I've been mulling over a power upgrade to a Corvette L98. Only 240 stock HP at the flywheel. I would like to double that without doing heads or cam. Looks like a viable option. Thanks for the video. Some of your wiring sucked, however I will watch again.
I plan on putting a similar system on my 88 Firebird. Looks like a day job. Judging by this I should be able to go from 250BHP to 380. That would be awesome.
Hey brother, nice work, however as a new subscriber and as a recently graduated technician I was curious as to why you did not include the upgraded programming to the PCM for the changes made, let me know if you have any opinions on that, BTW keep up the good work I am totally digging the videos!
Yes very good video ... word to the wise the fmu set up is not a wise choice .. youbshould relay on reprgramming and adjustable fuel regulator .. I have a simliar set up witj 15 pounds but I mounted the inter - cooler in front bumper and water injection you can see how it runs in some of my vids
Awesome video. Please make another one sbout how this afects the reliability when you can.

Definitely learned something. But I would do several things differently. Use a decent crimptool, solder the wires, cover the wires for protection and use treaded nuts. All for a cleaner install and to be sure the wires are water proof. But have to say impressive results in increasing the hp's.
I have done many of these kits over the years and pro-charger is one of the better company's out there ..... only a few draw backs ... unless you spend a ton of money over there their customer service is a little "snobby" and replacement parts (example like their pulley tensioner and pulley which always blow up or separate at the wrong time) are extremely expensive ... ..... also anther quick note on these systems ... they always seem to shred belts anything over 6 pounds main reason is that the brackets flex under load ... what most do is order a 12 rib pulley set up and use a 6 - 8 rib belt so that when the brackets flex there is room for the belt to move .... trust me its a pain in the but to be fooling around a a back road and loose a belt
For the second Dyno run with the Procharger installed you took the rpms all the way up to almost 7k!! Even the first dyno was a bit high. How are you able to get those additional RPM's and have it not cause engine damage or a floating valve. Can the stock engine take that? I have a 383ci 97 trans am and defiantly looking into one of these kits.
In all my years with modding cars, I have never, ever seen an intercooler sit like that. But it gets loads of cold air rushing though the fins to cool it
Why run a second pump when u can just upgrade the factory pump with a walbro 255 or 340 unit Also would run a ractronix "hot wire " kit which gives you full voltage to pump Also would not run a fmu a simple upgrade fuel pressure regulator on fuel rail more simple setup and more reliable... Fmu are unrelable and don't work very good for anything more the 8psi
I thought the compression ratio had 2 be lowered with any pressurized induction system or detonation would occur,is high octane gasoline needed or expensive additives?
I think it’s easier installing a turbo than a supercharger lol a turbo is basically bolts, welding and adjust psi leve. I installed a 1200$ turbo my self a year ago and haven’t had any issues. The only thing I regret is installing it to my engine that had 110k miles lol but other than that I did a good job. The hardest thing was to find a welder! lol
Hi Carl! Unfortunately we don't offer any sort of installation services. Sorry about that! We just sell the parts. So you would buy the supercharger from us and we'd mail it to you, and then you would have a local performance shop install it for you. You'd have to contact them to find out what their labor charge would be. Hope that helps!
thanks for the response i was curious as i am build an l67 GTP motor to swap into my 97 Grand Am and i know when i put a smaller pulley onit i need to upgrade fuel injectors along with fuel pump so that made me curious as to what i could do with my friends TA he is working on
hey bill we spoke on the phone.. this is james with the 82 chevy.. i was wondering after a mild motor build could i twin pro-charger my motor.. if so what would you recommend for parts and equipment thank you for your time..
Hi! This is the twin intercooler kit for your 97 Camaro: www.andysautosport.com/products/procharger__1GA212-D1SC.html It says 93-95 on there as the fitment, but I just confirmed with Procharger that it will fit a 97 LT1 as well, guaranteed. Hope that helps!
That fmu reminds me of when the kids get there first car and start modifying it. They be like bro, I just got a fuel pressure regulator and cranked it up to 11! Meanwhile your car's computer is like hey, what's going on and then retards the timing and such. The correct way to do this is, size your injectors accordingly, use a map sensor with a lower bar capability and then get the car to the Dyno. Or bring it straight to the Dyno and let them have a good laugh and have them fix it right for you.
You will spend well over 7 gs on the same unit he has installed,i also have a 95 Z and done my research.would have to upgrade injectors, heads and exhaust system.10gs+ to have a good set up done.
Was that a bone stock LT1 you started with that put out 275hp at the wheels? What's the most boost and HP you can safely run a stock bottom end LT1 at, from your experience?
6-8 psi is what I have always heard is safe for unmodified performance engines. 275HP is misleading. Every dyno will give you different numbers. So when dyno tuning you need to use the same one over and over. If stock Im guessing that dyno is reading a little high.
I wonder how the drivetrain and gearbox can handle all this extra power in terms of longevity. Suppose this type of modification is going to shorten it's life. Does anybody know for sure?
None are necessary! This Firebird in the video was bone stock when the supercharger was installed. That's one of the great things about the Procharger systems: they come with everything you need for the upgrade.
Can someone please help me l need to know how to install the oil spray nozzle fitting on p 600b procharger as there are two orifce holes one spraying straight and the second one 45 degree the procharger is mounted upside down on my 1995 Camaro
These lt1s deserve so much more credit than they get, especially nowadays with all the mods available.
how come it looks like everything fits like it should?

FROM NOW ON I SHALL CALL YOU.... CAR HEISENBERG
I helped my buddy install the Procharger D-1 kitin a 97 Camaro SS. Biggest pain in the ass ever. So many parts didn't fit right it was a pain...
Just curious , what would it cost to have this done ? Labor + material = ???
I have 94 Trans AM and would love to have this on my car but I would definitely have someone do it for me !!!
Great video and Thanks for sharing !!!
That intro scared the hell out of me
These videos are top notch. Keep up the good work! Spread the word people, this channel is awesome.
There's a guy around me with a pro charged firebird. It's one with the lt1 motor like this car, not sure of the year though.
I was wearing headphones and that moment before 0:30 gave me ringing in my ears.
I love how Andy's auto sports makes his videos! very explanatory
So much easier with no emissions equipment on it. can skip the whole air pump segment. Great video.
i want more videos of this firebird we need to see it in its fame
You the man!! For real. I wish so badly I was able to work on vehicles at any level. This install seemed so smooth to you. Damn I wish anything in my trans am looked that clean, got all kinds of cut wires and random shit that doesn’t even go to anything anymore
I plan on putting a similar system on my 88 Firebird. Looks like a day job. Judging by this I should be able to go from 250BHP to 380. That would be awesome.
Nice video. I really enjoy the installation walkthroughs that you guys post. Thanks.
Great job man no one does these late model beasts 1993 too 02 are my fav birds
Hey brother, nice work, however as a new subscriber and as a recently graduated technician I was curious as to why you did not include the upgraded programming to the PCM for the changes made, let me know if you have any opinions on that, BTW keep up the good work I am totally digging the videos!
It's not recommended to torque things down with a socket extension because believe it or not, those extensions do flex a tiny bit. 9:19
Keep up the great work! Always a pleasure to watch your videos!
Lt-1's are very strong & take a beating. Iron block & I have iron heads.
Haha thats an interesting intercooler mount :D
do you have to tune the car's computer???
Man that's a good increase of power for just slapping a charger on there imo
how did you turn a stock lt1 to 6600RPM? 19:20
nice video by the way!
You guys should make a video for the ls1 camaro
Say good bye to the stock 7.5 rear and transmission
I would really like if you could do this to a roadmaster or ss impala

I want you guys to install this on my 95 z28 ^_^
RESPECT ✊
From Australia
270rwhp for an LT1 is pretty good. Usually they dyno 225-233 at the wheel.
Great job on this video. I really learned a lot.
And I though supercharger is the easier way to get boost 😯
I bet the head gaskets blew if they were stock... Mine did on my 95 Camaro.
In all my years with modding cars, I have never, ever seen an intercooler sit like that. But it gets loads of cold air rushing though the fins to cool it
I got a 94 lt1 I don't need the air pump since it doesn't go to emissions?
This is a badass video man 👍🏻
Nice setup. It's almost as easy as ls swapping it.
Why run a second pump when u can just upgrade the factory pump with a walbro 255 or 340 unit Also would run a ractronix "hot wire " kit which gives you full voltage to pump
Also would not run a fmu a simple upgrade fuel pressure regulator on fuel rail more simple setup and more reliable... Fmu are unrelable and don't work very good for anything more the 8psi
Awesome and helpful video thanks!
I thought the compression ratio had 2 be lowered with any pressurized induction system or detonation would occur,is high octane gasoline needed or expensive additives?
I'm not quite sure how effective those intercoolers are gonna be inside the fender, facing sideways into oncoming air
I would assume they added some form of scoop to the intercoolers. At least that's what I would have done if this was my build :-)
Hell would you guys be willing to install one on my ls1 T/A? Lol
You guys still doing this? I'd definitely consider having you guys do my 95 z28 :)
Clean install until I saw a scotch lock.
I think it’s easier installing a turbo than a supercharger lol a turbo is basically bolts, welding and adjust psi leve. I installed a 1200$ turbo my self a year ago and haven’t had any issues. Is there an application for a 1995 impala SS / Roadmaster
nice thank you for sharing and i am wondering whats the labor charge for this install?

Where did the coil get mounted onto?
great how to video nice to see how simple this install really is. one question. does this install pretty much tax out the fuel injectors?
thanks for the response i was curious as i am build an l67 GTP motor to swap into my 97 Grand Am and i know when i put a smaller pulley onit i need to upgrade fuel injectors along with fuel pump so that made me curious as to what i could do with my friends TA he is working on
Whats the fan mods purpose?
is everything you use in this video relating to the procharger included in the kit?
what are your thoughts on the rumor that "mechanics always cuss"
I plan to add a super charger to my daily I don't know which type of super charger I should add
awesome vid.
hey bill we spoke on the phone.. this is james with the 82 chevy.. i was wondering after a mild motor build could i twin pro-charger my motor.. if so what would you recommend for parts and equipment thank you for your time..
Great vid
Where do you buy the Twin intercooler kit? i couldn't find it on your website. I have a 97 Camaro and im wanting to do this
Hi! This is the twin intercooler kit for your 97 Camaro:

4:00 I removed my air pump years ago and just left it off.

Good video
Mechanic version of Walter white lol good tutorial man
Can someone help me? I have a 2006 Pontiac g6 gtp that has a 3.9l v6 and I cannot find a supercharger or turbocharger kit anywhere
So estimated price with parts and labor for a 94 pontiac trans am???i guess it's the same procedure
How come the same motor looks so much different in every car. Same exact motor just a different car
nice video
Good gains
I need one of those, how much are those complete kits for a 95 z28 camaro with the lt1?
You will spend well over 7 gs on the same unit he has installed,i also have a 95 Z and done my research.would have to upgrade injectors, heads and exhaust system.10gs+ to have a good set up done.
Was that a bone stock LT1 you started with that put out 275hp at the wheels?

275HP is misleading. Every dyno will give you different numbers. So when dyno tuning you need to use the same one over and over. If stock Im guessing that dyno is reading a little high.
I have a 95 when i bought it the guy said he had some work done to it.i dont know what he had done but i tuned it and got 306 to the wheel
600 hp and the stock bottom end goes bye bye.
I had a 96 Z28, I know how cramped the engine bay is
I wonder how the drivetrain and gearbox can handle all this extra power in terms of longevity. Suppose this type of modification is going to shorten it's life. Does anybody know for sure?
doe sprocharger have the f series kits for lt1 or do you have to piece it together?
Second time I said this. Scotch lock???
if you have updated to a f.a.s.t standalone do you still need a f.m.u?
I have a 1995
That's a hot Firebird. I certainly miss mine... *sigh*
what is the difference between a super and pro charger. I'm from the diesel world and have no clue
lower spoiler? did u mean diffuser?
California compliant?
Yep! It's CARB legal in California.
Did you get your kit directly from Procharger?
Yep!
What engine mods should be done before installing a procharger?
None are necessary! This Firebird in the video was bone stock when the supercharger was installed. That's one of the great things about the Procharger systems: they come with everything you need for the upgrade.
This long As boat on A track lol I'll love to see that.lolol
Can someone please help me l need to know how to install the oil spray nozzle fitting on p 600b procharger as there are two orifce holes one spraying straight and the second one 45 degree the procharger is mounted upside down on my 1995 Camaro
how much would you charge me to do that to my firebird
Optispark just the name and us Trans Am Firebird Camaro owners cringe
Totally!
Where can I buy this ? Link ?
Here you go!
www.andysautosport.com/supercharger_kits/pontiac_firebird.html
does lexus ls400 1994 has space for supercharger?
would this work for my 1996 camaro?
Nice less messy then turbos
dam this guy know wut a table is?
Is this on a stock lt1 motor?
Yep it sure is.
Can you add any kind of super charger or does it have to be specifically your car model
It definitely has to be one designed specifically for your car. Hope that helps!
Do this to a 95 ranger
how much horse power does it give after installing pro charger
