I am thankful to the hosts. I’m also equally unlucky at getting into the raids because so many people are so dang fast typing codes in. It’s why I’m hoping to make a few friends who I can host for and Vice versa.

100+ per hour is really optimistic, I doubt you’ll be able to get into that many raids in an hour. Not sure if Blaine’s is this disconnected from his discord to not understand no one is possibly getting 100+ herba an hour in that channel. Or if he’s intentionally click baiting, could be both.
Probably cause he can and that’s only cause he is the RUclipsr and person behind the discord server he doesn’t realize it’s much harder for us than it is for him

It's pretty cool that people host on discord but it's ungodly hard to get in any raid. Imo it would be better if we had 2 herba hosting channels that way it makes it a little easier for people to join & harder for the people to just sit in one channel & snipe raids all day long. It's crazy how fast people are when getting into these raids. It's literally 5 seconds or less, and the raids are full. I swear some people are really dedicated & hook keyboards up to their switch or something because honestly on busy days, you're better off just joining random raids because you will waste your time trying to get in any of these raids.
I mean this in all seriousness, the keyboard thing has been openly admitted to being a thing people do in the chat. Completely agree that there should be a better way for you to join raids than doing a dice roll for a dice roll for a dice roll. Bit convoluted.

To people saying it's toxic:
-Hosting is completely selfless as we get nothing from raids. So if I am hosting for 4 hours, I want to make sure we do it as fast as possible to get as many people as possible.
-Some raids are harder and requires more specific setups or else it fails.
-There are hundreds of people per room and only 3 slots. Yes it will fill up fast. Just because chat is not active doesn't mean people are not ready to type codes.
If I get enough subs I can host live to avoid the overcrowded chat in discord.

@@dennismarra3971 autosave off and you save right before the raid, beat it with people then close your game and do it again, so as they said completely selfless since they are getting nothing out of each raid they do.
@@dennismarra3971 if you close the game after getting back into the overworld without saving, it’ll be there when you close and reopen the game, thus allowing infinite rehosting

From what I’m hearing, they just didn’t do a very good job of setting up the whole raid channel and how raids are hosted. There’s so many things that could be done to make it less of a pain and yet here we are lol
Realistically, for every good host, there are 10-20 people trying to get into raids with them. On your discord, I have legitimately averaged like 4 herba mystica per hour, because it is absurdly hard to get into those raids. Forget raid sandwiches unless you have a running deal with one particular host.
The real trick is to raid to host then find 1-3 other users to host with decent dens and just take it in turns to host your raids. You will be surprised at how well this works and stops one person massively missing out.
Find den - Save - Host - reset - join raid - do raid - save - repeat
It's a far healthier way to do the Herba mystical farming.
I wish the dens were like Sword and Shield’s where they didn’t disappear, they just shut off 😭

As a host who has hosted many many times on your server.. Today is by far the worst and most frustrating. The reason being; is that you (Blaines) should have done more to educate your viewers on what it is that they NEED to be able to defeat these raids, and also how “getting into raids” works..
Many people don’t seem to quite understand yet that you NEED certain Pokémon maxed out and certain Strategies to defeat these raids; in order to get the rewards! And people don’t seem to understand that when a host puts a code in the chat, the viewers need to be able to enter in the code ASAP to compete with others who are also trying to get in. PLEASE FULLY EDUCATE YOUR VIEWERS before hyping them up to doing some they don’t clearly know how to do!! You made it seem like ANYONE can just join these and it’s absolutely not true.. People need to be fast, patient, and have certain level 100 maxed out IVs/EVs Pokémon to join AND defeat these.
I’m just saying; Because you will lose a lot of people who are wanting to host for others but then find that it’s a complete hassle and even a waste of time for them.

Best way to avoid the toxicity in the community...host your own raid and let randoms join if you can't ohko the target yourself with NPCs. Problem solved.
I say find a den to host yourself and another player or 3 who have dens and just take it in turns to host. Even if one player only has a den that is 1 Herba Mystica it still means everyone is getting herbs. It's just a case of stumbling upon some okay players to do this with. It means you can host, then raid 1 - 3 times before needing to go back to hosting again.

Let me revolutionize how this is done y’all: instead of just putting in the code and letting everything be a free for all, make it a looking for party style thing.
Old school RuneScape does this for raids and they have 0 issues. And OSRA is FAR more toxic than Pokémon games.
The host decides the strategy and provides information on the raid. The host picks the people that join. Then the rule should be that the host gets something in return for doing this. Something like an ability patch if they want it. They can decide if they want something or not.
Also! If you have someone consistently staring up a raid your able to join, have your home menu open before joining to extend the sandwich buff timer.
Dont have the game closed though, cause closing the game kills your buffs
The other thing you can do is have people host shiny sandwiches for you so you don't need to farm Herbas in the first place. If the host closes their game before it autosaves then they keep their ingredients, and you just need a slightly altered sandwich recipe which usually just involves butter and only using Salty Herbas.
Making the Tera Raids sandwiches are tougher than you'd expect as some of them require ingredients that don't stack very well on the bread. Perhaps Blaines should make a how-to video for properly stacking those difficult ingredients...
if the ingredients touch other ingredients while you placed them down, it still counts when they fall off. they just have to touch :)

@@FirstOfMyName214 Yes, the top bun is unnecessary, but stacking 6-9 eggs with 2 clumps of potato salad and other ingredients is still tough enough (especially when you can't accurately gage how far the drop is nor how much it will bounce).
I've been trying to get a shiny three segment marked dudunsparce, and I've been worried that I'd have to start resetting and losing shinies to not run out of herma mystica. Thank you for this, this will be a huge help.

@someonerandom8511 I'd recommend breeding in Pokémon crystal, have a shiny parent that can breed with dunsparce. In gen 2 the chances of a shiny egg with a shiny male parent are 1/64. Why I recommend crystal is because of the odd egg, which has a 14% of being shiny, which doesn't take that many resets, remember to save before getting the egg. Eventually with the right egg groups, you can breed your way into all of them. 1/128 or 1/256 for a shiny female parent depending on the mon, or 1/64 with a shiny ditto. Which there is a glitch to guarantee one, but there is setup. It's what I'll probably do, because imo it will be much faster obtaining shiny dunsparces and checking if they are three segment unless you get really good luck with a charm and sandwich either using mass outbreaks or if there are any locations you can single target dunsparce with a normal sandwich.

I not only have trouble getting into raids fast enough. Drops have been an abysmal for me. I have only gotten 8 salties in all my raiding. 5-6 star doesn’t matter.
I spent 12 hours in that channel trying to join raids while I was waiting for the vet to call me to come get my dog after her surgery and literally only got into one and that one didn't even drop a single herba even though it was posted in the herba farming channel with no indication that it was not confirmed to have herba drops.
There's a huge flaw in said method in this video in that by the time you've made the sandwich and view past the animation, the raid slots would have long been taken up by another.
Your videos are probably one of the biggest (if not the biggest) reason I have been able to learn as much as I have and thus rekindled my love for the Pokemon games… thank you! 🙆🏻♀️

According to Serebii, as far as I could find, all 5 star raids have a 10% chance of dropping Herba Mystica but this is the second time I've heard someone mention that there's raids who don't drop any. Does anyone have a list of Pokémon that are confirmed to never drop any Herba Mystica? (Edit: obviously excluding 4 stars and below)

@@PlushiePoogle based solely on my personal experience so far with this game no 5* mons drop any herba outside of blissey....somehow managed to have 27 ability patches before I ever got a single herba and then got one of each type except sweet from a single blissey.
You can’t even join your discords raids half the time. You’ll spend the first hour trying to get one raid. Let alone be able to make a sandwich and then join in time.
I just don't do raids with others, it's easy to do alone, plus I breed mainly for shinies.

Did you know that you can unlock all the sandwich recipes at the sandwich shop chain Every Wich Way. Its in I think every town? Its the sandwich shop with a big sandwich on the storefront. Talk to the guy to the right of the counter with a speech bubble saying "new sandwiches" & a few more recipes from visiting your mom again. Take note you must earn I believe 6 badges to get all the recipes
I have a hard time getting in hosted raids on the discord but you can easily find a group to rotate raids with there Ive done that many times

that an lie but not really. you CAN earn up to 100 per hr, if u are able to get in every single time. honestly with 300k+ subs. if he has discord of even 5k ppl. getting in will be impossible. maybe once every 10mins. this is great for small groups(100+) or close net group of friends that can switch off for each other

Yo @BLAINES do you think it is possible to do a rehash of this video where you suggest people finding a den to host first, then finding 1-3 other players who have done the same and just taking it in turns to host. It means everyone gets herbs and stops the vileness that crops up in the discord.

First of all great job for having the channel on your discord and to those who host thank you. That said, how are you supposed to make a sandwich AND join a specific raid in time? It is difficult enough already to join any raid with so many people trying to get in to make it even harder by having to make a sandwich before trying to join.
You literally don't. You CANNOT join one of these raids with a sandwich buff, it is literally impossible unless a host has guaranteed you a spot for some reason and DMs you the code and doesn't post it until you are in. Even with the link code page open you aren't getting in if you aren't typing with a keyboard.

Tried this, and it's way too difficult to get into raids. Not only are people fighting over shit that ain't even important or relevant, when someone hosts a raid, it gets full in like 1 millisecond, unfair to me because I'm a slow typer and I think I might have dyslexia.
I think you are just better of using level two encounter sandwiches. They increase the odds without herba mystica.
Question. Are 5* 6* raids capped at 5 herba mystica? (Not including sandwhich boost)
Because of this i got shiny baxcalibur and shiny eevee, also like 12 herba mystica in 4 raids

i joined your discord and went to the channel you said and in like 30min the messages were people complaining on how hard was to join those raids, that they don't like the host rules and a huge etc. If you really want to make that a good chance for people to farm herbas i suggest you to make a host role and ONLY the people with that role can type in that chat, that way the raids will be more quick and less "salty"
The reason this isn't possible is some people may need clarification on Mon builds, and moves the raid may have
I’m over the Herbas already. Pokémon constantly ruins their own games with this nonsense. Online sucks because it’s like nobody knows what they are doing. I run my map as much as I can and get what I get. Maybe two years from now I’ll have herba stocked up and do some shiny hunting. Besides I like the titled Pokémon way more. I never understood the obsession with shiny Pokémon. Do some look cool? Yes but most are dumb. Blaines keeps me happy with his giveaways(better than Pokémon’s any day). There is no race everyone. Play enjoy and quit crying.

I've host raids on the discord time to time. Heads or tails are pretty useful for keeping out lurkers.
Suggestion on making the discord for herba a little less chaotic. Create a chat for people who want to create squads so people can keep doing the same raid with the same people over and over so you only have to make one sandwich and less randomness and alot less complaining
you will never come close to 100 because there are many other player who also wanne join. i belive BLAINES git the code privat, and than it was posted public. just joining public will never give you 100+ in 1 hour. bestter search a 2+ herba raid yourself and rotate host with 3 other player
This method would work so well if there wasn’t only 2 people hosting with very specific rules like “only perserker with metal sound” and a very toxic community for the raid. I love the idea I wish it was just better optimized.

You don't mention how difficult it is to get into some of these raids, if you wanna get the sandwhich boosts you're gonna have to target raids specifically for the raid boosts you have and thats not even a gurantee you get into the raid with how many people use keyboards or touch pad and are like lightning getting in them

How does the host reset the raid? Obviously i assume exiting out of the game. When do you exit out btw? Im assuming literally as soon as the pokemon faints? Or do you catch the raid boss first, and THEN exit out?
Everybody complaining they can't get in a raid for hours on end: use that time to get a goldengo setup and literally solo every 5-6* raid.. You can setup a goldengo within an hour and get a bunch of herbas solo with no help.
Stop beeing a crybaby, no one will invite you! Getting these herbas is so easy its ridiculous to me how many people are complaining. On top of that you can easily get 2-3 shinies out of 2 herbas if you set it up

Dont forgot the slots fill up quick be they'll be on tablet mode and typing the code in with their fingers. It is challenging to type as fast as you can on controller. Only way to get in faster is to take the tablet off tv mode and type it in without the controller
By the way, the reason people host is to PAY IT FORWARD. If you are joining someone's raid, at some point, you need to host yourself.
Also 100 an hour is REALLY stretching it. Even at 6 mystica every time, that's 16 raids. That's like almost 4 minutes a raid. No normal person is gonna find this, and this video is going to make it even harder.

People are so selfiah. What you should ia team up woth people. You cant rely on getting to join a bunch of raids without hosting some. So team up woth 4 people whp are going to farm for 2-3h and you all start resetting. Only allow people with 2 games. Then start hosting in series. Or give the host something to make up for you being a diagusting leacher.

Anyone else wanna talk about how a single discord channel for herba farming is both a good thing and a bad thing. It's a good thing because people graciously host raids but it can be a bad thing because no one in the discord who types can get in.
Uses the sandwich for the electric power but I only have 3 electric raids, and I have 20 minutes left over with the sandwich, how do I change the raids without losing the power?
Honestly i once spent 2 hours trying to join raids in the channel and only ever got into one! That we lost anyway cause people were not playing properly, it's not even about speed because i know for a fact i would've put the code in faster than most but SV has a bug where it says the raids are full when they are not, meaning that you have to put in the code a second time and by that point you are too late! It has happened to me many many times but ive honestly given up on the discord scene and just solo the raids.
Its really not possible to make a Raid sandwiche. First Of all when you go online you have to find the specific raid. It’s even hard to just find a Raid of the few Pokémon that actually have a higher drop of the Herba. It’s not even 100% that you will get it. Than if you have to luck you need to join as fast as possible. If that works you are not even sure that the rest of your team will have the right Pokémon to kill. It literally took me 3 hours strait to get 1 good raid that got me a Herba mistica. Today it took me 6 hours just to get 1 spicy. It’s very hard and a very difficult system to work with.

im sorry, but this discord is IMPOSSIBLE to join raids. you have to be faster then the flash to get in, and on top of that other people want others to do a host cycle which leaves the rest who are new or dont know out in the open with no chance to do anything. and honestly the way Blaines mentions the raid channel so casually just tells me hes unaware or just doesnt care. honestly not worth joining the discord
