Thank you so much for this video! Even after doing months of research, you provided me with vital info that I will use when I start traveling in a month! And ur right..staying loyal to a company that sees u as nothing more than a worker bee to make them look good and give u back absolutely no credit or compensation. A hospital is still a business and money will always their priority over their staff. Staff nurse wages are not nearly enough for all they do..I can’t wait to see how traveling will change my life ✌️

I appreciate you so much for making this video. Your video is one of the videos that I am using to help me get oriented with starting an INDEPENDENT CLINICIAN OWNED STAFFING AGENCY (ICOSA). I am an RN. I am getting a nurse coach to help me learn about how to write contracts for my ICOSA and negotiate contracts with hospitals directly so that I can get ALL OF THE MONEY the Managed Service Providers (hospital agency that contacts Nurse recruiting agencies) and Nurse Recruiting Agencies get. It is my understanding that they take 40-50% of what nurses make in contracts and they are not doing any of the work with the exception of partnering with hospitals and finding nurses. The recruiting agency may say that they are only getting 6-20% of what nurses make, which may be true, but what they do not tell you is that the Managed Service provider is getting another 20-30% of the RN Bill Rate. At the full bill rate, I only need to find 3-4 contracts per year for myself (and my Mom who is a veteran RN). Wish me luck! :)

I’m agency now so I make a little more but the patient ratio and overall workload is too much. I absolutely HATE working. I like when my patients compliment my work but that’s not what brings me to work. Sorry not sorry. I am after this money. Early retirement is the goal. And I know travel nursing will help me achieve that goal faster than being a permanent/long term employee at a single hospital. No ma’am.

Listen I pay those people no mind. If you’ve worked in the hospital in any capacity it’s a known fact we are under paid and under appreciated. I do it for the money. The mental stress alone and not to mention the physical abuse we go through, is not worth the highest paying contract. So yes, if I have goals to reach, creating generational wealth and a lifestyle I want to maintain, the money is the motive! ❣️ Sorry, not sorry!

You bring me so much joy watching you. I had to get pen and paper to jot down some
information. It was a master class.
I thank you very much for that presentation. You're part of elite team. I learned a lot. I don't know if you would be able to list the names of the traveling agencies that you know of besides Ahya please. Again I thank you for being a friend, a colleague, a sister and a mentor.

What I used 2 do was work 3 days a month @ my PRN job 2 cover my rent n Bmore. I pay rent 3 months up front 4 my rent on assignments so I can stack. The hard part of traveling is running n2 un4seen situations. Outside of that, I try 2 live where I can walk 2 work. That works well 4 me. Not easy, but gr8 on time. I work with Aya. Picking up an extra day, if possible, is gr8 if u r cancelled or call out. It leaves u space 2 get ur housing even if ur called off.

Another important factor is cancelled contracts. I see horror stories of nurses who spend all thus money to get to the contract only to be cancelled.

Yes! Canceled contracts. Thank fully it’s never happen to me. I typically don’t leave until the day before my contract just in case they want to cancel

I really love your videos. I've been an LPN working in TCU for 3 years and I'm currently working on my RN so I can do travel nursing. seeing how much money there's to be made, I'm mad I didn't get with the program sooner lol. Thanks for the 101.

How do we pay for a place to stay in another state when the company offers housing or stripend? Someone told me they wont give you the stripend until 2 weeks

When you get paid, you’ll receive your stipend.

It’s like a regular job. You get paid the next week, for the previous week you worked. That’s for most agencies. Some you can get paid daily

Since we get or first check after working a wee or so, do we pay for housing with our on money? Im asking because housing has to be secured before i leave for the out of state location. Before i move into the housing, they are going to want a deposit and water bill set up etc.
unless the agency already has their housing set up? So i dont have to find my own and pay?
