    Yess girl, right on time! I’ve been looking into these travel contracts since the rates have been rising! 🤑 I don’t know many people who have done travel nursing so it’s great that you did this video and answered many of my questions! 🥰

      Teal Blue: are the assignments fair with the staff or do they give you the hard and difficult assignment?

    I’m in the Med Surg- oncology, with average 9 patients. I’ve had 13 patients before. When I transition into travel nursing, I will be open to whatever the deal is.

      I’m about to take my first assignment & I’m sooo nervous and scared….I’ll be leaving a ft job & I’m a little apprehensive….how was your experience?

    • @athena417
      @athena417 2 года назад

      @@Changedlife210 it was great until it wasn’t. Make sure your contract details things like your shift, pay, etc so that you have a leg to stand on if someone tries to get you to work outside of the contract you agreed on. And be prepared to maybe have to move on to another/different travel assignment if needed. I had to leave mine early, not my fault, and I am still eligible to work with the travel agency I was with. I have chosen to work closer to home (not currently traveling), but that’s because of my family’s preferences at the moment. I may consider travel nursing again in the future.
      I wish you the best of luck! I did enjoy it! I just think I was maybe being taken advantage of at my first assignment.

    Thank you these are excellent questions. I do have a question I'm a newbie travel nurse. I'm so nervous about being thrown into a unit that jeopardize my license. So my question is how do I approach receiving report from a nurse before accepting the keys tactfully without giving off vibes that if this is a shit show I'm not accepting these keys lol because if I do accept the keys I can't leave because that's abandonment ... What questions should I ask specifically during report that should raise red flags in that area lol I've been on a new unit where the staff nurses refused to count the narcotics with me.

    Good eve, Ms. Teal Blue. Thank you for being present ever online and on You Tube at that. Kindly guide your new follower what other courses should I take/enroll in inorder to become a qualified "travel nurse". I am now taking CNA. I got certified as a PCA and TNA last last year (2021). And I have been working as a live-in caregiver for 2.5 years and counting. I am a working student. Ty again for your response.
