So based on your adorable reactions to the tasting part of your video - I AM DOING this peach cobbler and I CAN'T wait for it to be a major hit!! I have the Pioneer Woman crock pot - it's not steel but heavy duty and I hope it turns out amazing! MAHALO and ALOHA from the big island of Hawaii - where no restaurants serve peach cobbler!
Me too... NO OVEN RIGHT NOW! Lol - these guys are my favorites anyway... but I now their recipes are devine! How did nit turn out for you? I just have a regular 6 quart crock pot.
I have been using light brown sugar instead of white granulated sugar. It adds a bit more of a nice flavor to it, IMHO. In my oven-baked version, all of the ingredients are the same EXCEPT 1 tsp of baking powder and only 1 can of peaches. That goes in a 9x9 baking pan. Now, on the Slow Cooker version, that should be most interesting. My neighbor enjoyed my version so much, but she did not have any peaches. We, therefore, tried it with fruit cocktail. A nice different version. The pineapple grabs your attention lightly. Next time, Slow Cooker! (plays havoc on the Diabetes, but well worth it! )
That recipe definitely looks easy and fool-proof. I also liked your tip about making sure that the baking powder has expired. I have been going through my kitchen cabinets lately, and I have found that A LOT of things are actually expired...so you definitely want to check the date for sure.
This was a recipe that was very easy to remember. I went into hospital for an aortic valve job and a CABG back in 2018. After 7 days in the hospital, I went into a rehabilitation facility in North Carolina for 21 days. One of the processes is occupational therapy, which includes working in the kitchen to do "something." I made the staff this recipe for Peach Cobbler. (Apparently, the average patient does not do such a thing.) I was well-remembered for doing so, so after a bit more than a year later, I made another and brought it to them to celebrate my "anniversary." Good stuff, people!
just to let you know you got me hooked on sweet potatoes have about 4 in my crock pot now and to tell you that i have discovered that butterscotch morsels in with the butter is great. will be trying your peach cobbler soon
Please don't let Miss Add ever grow up. She's so precious and melts my heart seeing how she is with her Daddy! Makes me miss my dad. Only 2 weeks and I'll get to see my old man back home in New Zealand...and he will love this with a big scoop of vanilla toffee icecream!🙄🙄
Cookie We haven't tried doubling it. The issue would be whether or not the center would get done along with the outside. Your best bet would be to use 2 slow cookers, or make it twice.
Hey Mikey and Miss Add!! I just love the father/daughter relationship you two have. Butter in the microwave for 30 minutes would have been a bad thing. My husband made a similar mistake with microwave popcorn. You ever burn popcorn like that? Oh gracious, the smell stayed in the house for days! 👃🍿 We have a BBQ restaurant in town that has the BEST peach cobbler!! Peach is our favorite by far!! If you ever get down our way, we'll take you there. 😉 This sounds scrumptious!! Love you guys and the Crock Posse!! ❤
Mikey: I normally buy Peaches, Pears, etc in Light Syrup. Would that work just as well as the Heavy Syruped varieties? I also cook a cobbler like this but sub the peaches with apple pie filling. You might want to try this with Miss Addi. Peaches are always my favorite.
I’ve got peach cobbler in the Ninja right now! Made the philly cheese meatloaf last night, and served it with “shire sauce”... it was awesome!
Well, it was a hit! I used truvia , but still used peaches in heavy syrup ....it was really delicious!
