Thank you so much for sharing. I have been living with a bladder prolapse for over 3 years. I have been doing pilates for over 20 years. I had adenomyosis which was extremely painful so I made the decision to have a hysterectomy. I developed a bladder prolapse after 6 months. I’m not sure if I overdid Pilates during that time but I was so grateful to enjoy exercise again after adenomyosis. The prolapse was devastating to me. As a very active 46 yo, it had an impact on my life and I was very depressed. Yes it was impossible to find information and support so I’m so grateful to have found you. Managing constipation is definitely the answer and has helped tremendously. I am back to walking 3 miles per day and practicing Pilates daily. I’ve learned how to modify exercises. I had to give up golf but I’m hoping to find an answer soon. I found a new OBGYN who gave me hope and told me to see a uro gynecologist. I can’t wait to learn more about your journey. ❤
I am 44 and had fibroids and painful, heavy, long periods and chose to have a hysterectomy as well, believing I made a choice that would give me better quality of life. I also developed a bladder prolapse weeks after my surgery as well as rectocele and vault. It has been over a year and I’m still devastated. I am a former Ironman triathlete and have always been super active. Now I do Pilates, walk, and some weight training. Also lots of pelvic PT. I am scared of more surgery but will consider it if I feel absolutely comfortable with the surgeons abilities and if I get to a point where I feel my pelvic floor function is optimized. I’m also starting to understand that some of my struggles are due to hypermobility. Thanks for sharing your story as it helps others in similar circumstances feel less alone ❤
Omg thank you for this. 7 days out just had a hysterectomy and they had to do both bladder and rectal surgery. My colon had fallen into the pelvic wall. Having the prolapse repairs scared me. So glad to see these videos.
This is so helpful! I am currently working with pelvic floor PT and am waiting for my appointment with the urologist-gynecologist. I am 6 months post partial hysterectomy. I had no idea I even had a prolapse! We as women need to talk more about this. Thanks for being a voice!
Wow, so glad I saw this link on another person's comment. I'm actually having prolapse surgery on the 30th. I had a hysterectomy too, due to endometriosis. Did pt, saw a gyn and he sent me to specialist. Both doctors recommended surgery . Specialist is doing it. Exactly what you had done. What do you recommended to begin with after surgery? They told me a 6-8 week recovery. So wait until then? I'm so nervous, but excited to get it fixed. I see the bulge and feel it. It is hard walking and had to change my exercise routine. I just had hip surgery in October, so doing pilates only right now. I'm so glad I found your channel. I needed to hear your words of encouragement so much.❤
Thank you so much for sharing your story! I have been experiencing uterus prolapse over the years and it has now become worse. I wish I knew more about it before but glad for the information!
I had bladder prolapse surgery but did not take. Uterine wall detached. Will not do it again. On estradiol cream to keep tissue healthy. I teach Pilates and still jog. It’s due to low estrogen in my case. I was 60 age at the time.
Thankful for your video! I also suffer from a bladder prolapse that I've had for 5 years - had a 9# baby boy who is now 33 years old that probably didn't help! My hysterectomy is scheduled early next month and they will be taking everything as the bladder has pulled down my uterus. I'm already very anxious to have it done and over with! Your information is spot on! I was wondering if there are any tips before my surgery you wish you had known about to prepare you? Thanks again for the information!

I didn't think I'd experience this, but after having mine fixed I'm constantly concerned I'll cause it again.
