I know for a fact that you know what you're talking about. I currently have brooks adrenaline, goofed around with cheap shoes and voila! the fasciitis returned. Was looking for other alternatives and YOU provided that with professional analysis. Your video was just what I was looking for! Thanks!!
Hey ....ive suffered all summer with PF .I mow yards and on my feet and sometimes mow hills and banks....now that its fall and winter, I really want to concentrate on getting this thing fixed . So , you personally, have great results from the brooks shoes??? Ive never had a pair and i know theyre a bit more pricey, but will spend the extra money if i need to .. Thanks in advance..i will check notifications to see if you respond .....
Many thanks for such a great guiding video. This should have been the NHS job. They gave me good home exercise but no recommendation for shoes to wear.
Hello, you have recommended other shoes for PF in two other videos. Which one is best for PF suffering from loads of pain in the heel with a medium arch? I tried the Hoka Bondi 8, and the heel feels too tight. I am taking cold pak for recovery. I would be immensely thankful for shoe advice.,
I have a custom orthotic and some routine orthotics from a podiatrist. Would I replace the manufacturer's insole with these orthotics in any of the shoes that you recommended?
Hi, i have plantar faciitis pain on stretch push off, is New Balance More V4 or V5 suitable is they claim its a recovery shoe for hard surface running.
Great video James. I have planter in my left heel. I get the pain when my heel is on the floor and sometimes when I push off. What shoe could you recommend please.
I did watch most of your videos. I still couldn’t decide which shoe to buy I’m suffering of pain in the bottom of my heel specially in the early morning when I wake and did a run or sport activity on the day before. Is my condition can be called PF? Plus I have a flat feet. I will be so thankful if you can advise on the type of shoe I need to buy thanks❤
Got the kayano 30 to help with my pf. Still, my feet are killing me by the time I get off work, and since I started wearing them, my other foot has started hurting as well. Any ideas of what the problem may be?
Hey, i just bought a pair of GTS adrenaline 23 but turns out it has very little cushioning for the forefoot. As a forefoot striker, is it going to cause long term problems and should i change the way i run to heel striking? Edit: the shoe i used prior to the gts is the gel nimbus 25 so im facing a night and day difference in cushioning.
I have knee pain. I also have very painful plantar fasciitis. I was wearing Hoka Bondi 8. The right foot inside has extreme pain with these shoes. I think my ankle is rolling a little. I also have had bruised toes. So the toe box has to be roomy. Can you give me any recommendations. I am a walker.
I bought brooks glycerin gts 21 after a gait analysis. They feel amazing standing in them but absolute agony after walking in them. I have low arches, arch pain and inner/ mid heel pain (PF) plus a heel spur. I paid £165 for them hoping it would allow me to walk a bit more but the pain is unbearable! Plan to return them but at a total loss what to buy. Id read online the higher heel drop is no good for PF 😭
I think I have the exact same feet as you, and I am having the exact same problem with the brooks adrenaline gts. Thinking about getting the Hoka Gaviota 5s
@@bandenaccount yes I almost got them but they didn't have my size in the running shop. I ended up with wide fit hokas bondi 8. Very cushioned but still on the search for arch support insoles, all of which seem to make my pain worse!
Thank you for the video. I'm an avid runner and have really been struggling with both Morton's neuroma AND plantar fascitis. Can you recommend a good running shoe that would work well for both conditions?
Well I have both and regret trying a different shoe than brooks as both are back!! It just wasn’t available so going back. Also injections really helped my neuroma it’s been 2 years but time to get it treated again. On feet a lot and back to running.
Hey, great video. I’m deciding between the Arahi 6 or 7 and the Clifton 9. Any suggestion for a person with heel pain and flat feet? Would you go arahi 6 orv7?
Thanks for the video very useful. I have PF in one heel. Now I have developed pain in the ball of my other foot. For that would you recommend a short heel drop like the hoka so to not put more pressure on the ball when I run?
I remain confused about the best shoes for PF as on another video you are recommending On cloud shoes for PF ? You are open about your commission but I guess this restricts you from putting one shoe above another . Are On cloud better than other brands for PF?
Hi James, Thank you for sharing this video.. I suffer from foot pain as well as Arthritis joint pain in various parts of the feet and other joints, I have been wearing Sketchers for quite a while now as there is a good amount of cushioning underneath however I am due for an upgrade and I was recommended to go for a pair of New Balance, would you recommend them and if so which type would you recommend?
Great video thanks! I am nursing an ankle fracture with CAM boot and normally wear Bondi 8. I asked the podiatrist if I should get ankle support trainers since healing can take long time, he said I need to get Balance shoes. My left heel has increased PF heel pain since wearing the boot. What can I use inside CAM boot to alleviate that. (I also placed order for blue superfeet insoles blue he recommended.
I haven't gone to doctor to get myself checked but I am 31, I weigh 130lbs and I have unbearable heel pain from standing. I'm not sure what kind of shoe I should choose for my heels to feel better. The pain feels like it's in the bones. Please recommend 😭
What shoe would you suggest for plantar fasciitis along with lower back pain? I’ve noticed extremely cushioned shoes tend to throw out my back. Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have flat, wide feet and have suffered from plantar fasciitis. I need a shoe for walking, running and for work where I’m on my feet all day. What would you recommend? Thanks
Hi! what are your thoughts on Gaviota 5. I have a PF in my left foot and I tried Hoka Bondi 8 but they were tight to me in the middle and in the front but only the left foot. I went half size up and even tried the wide foot but they were still uncomfortable. And then the guy in the store asked me to try Gaviota 5 and I felt really comfortable in those shoes. I dont run, just a walker. Do you think Gaviota 5 can help with PF?
IMHO Asics is bad for us with long toes especially if you got that extra long, testosterone index toe that are common among men. They are way too "pointy" which brings you toes together and my index toe is constantly hitting the front of the shoe especially when running/walking downhill which usually ends with a brushed toe/nail and eventually you nail will come lose. If you go up in size to get more room for your toes the shoe will not fit instead. TL;DR I really don't recommend Asics for guys with long feet and toes.

Are shoes that help plantar fasciitis similar to shoes for gout ?
Many thanks for such a great guiding video. This should have been the NHS job. They gave me good home exercise but no recommendation for shoes to wear.
Thanks for your message
Thank you so much. I didnt know but I wear before feel comfy 100%
Which one is the best if I also have knee pain and plantar fasciitis

The asics have a deep stable heel cup
I have been watching your videos but I can't determine what walking shoe I need with PF and high arch
We often see patients enjoy the arahi 6 due to its cushioning and support
@@james_mccormackwhat shoes you recommend for being on cement on day at the end of the day my heels hurt
my bone spur is in the back of the heel, can you recommend a good walking shoe?
Take a look at our video on shoes for Haglund's deformity.
Hi, I can't find the Hoka Arahi 6, is the 7 the same for PF with severe heel pain?
They are a very similar shoe
I have a custom orthotic and some routine orthotics from a podiatrist. Would I replace the manufacturer's insole with these orthotics in any of the shoes that you recommended?
We always recommend a neutral shoe to our patients who are using an orthotic
Hi, i have plantar faciitis pain on stretch push off, is New Balance More V4 or V5 suitable is they claim its a recovery shoe for hard surface running.
Both versions are excellent
Hey @james.. doeas arahi 7 serve same purpose
Yes it has the exact same midsole with a different upper
What about asics gel nimbus 26 i am planning to buy that . ???
They have a firmer sole than the cumulus
Great video James. I have planter in my left heel. I get the pain when my heel is on the floor and sometimes when I push off. What shoe could you recommend please.
Plz recommend shoes for planter fasciitis and heel spurs for women

I have flexible flat feet. Which shoes should I choose from among all of them?
Some patients enjoy the kayano
I have little pronation (towards inward) and plantar fasciiitis , can i use kayano gel 30 for both?
Its worth consideration

Hi, my recommendations are in the video
I’m also suffering from chronic planter fasciitis try Skechers GO WALK DISTANCE WALKER .it’s helpful. I tried hoka shoe also doesn’t work for me.
@@james_mccormackhoka killed my foot with plantar fascia!!

Good stability and high heel drop but stiff

What do you think of the Mizuno Energy for PF?
Hey, great video. I’m deciding between the Arahi 6 or 7 and the Clifton 9. Any suggestion for a person with heel pain and flat feet? Would you go arahi 6 orv7?
The Arahi is more stable than the clifton
Can you provide Uk Amazon links
Thanks for your message - I’ve checked them and all of them redirect to whichever country you’re in
Which is better? Hoka Arahi 6/7 or Gaviotta?
It depends on your preferences
True or False.. ..can a shoe change a foot from a high arch to flat foot/sole..
Or am i the only one to have lost my spring/agility from calves..
Thanks for the video very useful. I have PF in one heel. Now I have developed pain in the ball of my other foot. For that would you recommend a short heel drop like the hoka so to not put more pressure on the ball when I run?
A shoe with a forefoot rocker signficantly reduces forefoot plantar pressure

Need to see a Orthopaedics Doc. He recommended Hoka
that's exactly how I would describe my plantar fasciitis heel pain..it actually feels like it's in the bones, so chances are it's PF you've got
Could you please make a video about ON CLOUD shoes for this condition. Thank you 🙏🏻
In the works 👍
What shoe would you suggest for plantar fasciitis along with lower back pain? I’ve noticed extremely cushioned shoes tend to throw out my back. Thanks in advance.
The brooks is the firmest cushioning of those that I spoke of in the video
Can you talk about insoles, tying the shoes properly and any inserts please?
We have videos on insoles for plantar fasciitis

Hi, I discuss all these features in the video.
Thanks for the great review and tips! Is the brooks glycerin gts also a good option for plantar fasciitis?
Yes, they're a good option

Heel spurs or calcium deposits
