I met the dude back in 2008, they were there for a concert at the Palm in Las Vegas. The entire band, especially Claudio, were an extremely humble and genuine group. They invited my friend and I to sit with them at their booth, super nice guys.
I love that no matter how successful Claudio gets he still gets butterflies performing, no matter how big the crowd and how he constantly seems humbled when he gets any kind of praise. You can tell that what he does and what an influence he has on people is so important and inspiring to him.
I love when Claudio and Chondra play as a duet, Chondra is really a very good back up singer and she does pretty good harmonies, her father is also a musician and she knows well what she is doing.
I love that he expresses himself through his comics. Shyness can be hard to overcome. I have watched many interviews Claudio has done talking about the meanings behind songs like welcome home and the suffering. He let his pain out and is happily married to the same woman who inspired those songs. He is literally living his own fairytale. His comics are just extensions of his life on very creative fictional level and they have become great songs. I've been inspired by this band in the past month after being introduced to them by a from work. I'm a drummer and song writer. I have no desire to make it big but I'm always looking for different bands to expand my writing and playing. Me and my band love Coheed. We enjoy not being tied down by and specific style and trying new was of writing and playing. Our influences are constantly growing and it's fun blending so many different bands together into one as something original. I have written lyrics for three songs since hearing Coheed for the first time a few weeks ago. I already thanked the friend from work for helping to unlock a new creative style to follow in my writing but I'd like thank you Claudio, Coheed and Mrs Sanchez for the influence and thank you for the wonderful music. Keep up the great work. I look forward to more great music and may y'all continue being blessed. You have earned everything you have worked for.
The way he turns away for the acoustic effect of the room during the gutter, like, "nah, I don't need to break the mic" just shows he knows how much vocal power he has.
20 year later and your still my hero Mr Sanchez.Another outstanding performance.Well done to you both. You never fail to please.Saw your nerves near the end but you still keep it in line and sounding sweet. Peace and Love Claud and Shaundra from Scotland Uk
Okay been a fan for so many years now..and even have some of the signed amory wars and kill audio you sell at your shows, but to come across this recording of you two together is seriously such a blessing 🙌 such a beautiful compliment to each other you are. Can't wait to see you next time you're in Kansas, much love to you all ❤
This was amazing. I've wanted to see Claud cover Englishman In New York since Josh's vid of him singing along and getting invited into the Sting rehearsal
It's really cool that Claudio still gets nervous in 2019. He can do it all and make it look easy. It's refreshing, surprising and humanizing to see him own up to being nervous.
I'd LOVE to see a studio quality acoustic album officially released. I made my own youtube channel for my favorite C&C acoustics....be nice to have it in my real music library though. Best acoustic band....ever.
I'd love to see something like Nrivana's MTV Unplugged, where they didn't play their hits, and played some underrated songs, like Three Evils, Atlas, anything from The Afterman. Maybe a few cool covers.
I'd sell my soul to Pazuzu and sacrifice 4 goats to get an acoustic album. I've met Claudio before and he is just a very humble artist who really loves what he does and values his work. If only more artists did the same. It goes for all 4 members of the band. Just an amazing collection of talent from genuinely nice guys.
I feel like The Color Before the Sun could've easily been stripped down or reworked into a Prize Fighter album and the Coheed concept could've been put on hold for a year or so, that might've gone over better with the fans. Either way it's still a decent album.
Yeah it's not a bad album by any means, it's just that folk and pop punk isn't what I expect/want from Coheed. They did it well, because they do everything well, but I want rock, prog, and metal.
Well that's the lead singer/Creator's wife. She's not in the band. But they do these things on occasion. Fun fact, he's written previous songs about wanting to cave her skull in. Also definitely check them out. Possibly my favorite band.
@@justandardprocedure Jeez dude scare people away why don't you, pretty sure he was not talking about her so much as he was talking about Newo Ikkin. Get yo' facts straight yo'.

Legend! Idgaf if he had ruined EINY... that look on his face just before starting showed the love and respect he had for the song.!! Full respect more so because he did the song great justice Side note (edit added) it's amazing to see with my perception from coheed early material that there is alot of pain and torture within the band's hearts and minds. Basically if you can notice the way Sanchez's wife truly smiles when she looks at him talking, she forgets the camera is on and shows pure love for that man. Kudos
I can't believe they got both Coheed AND his wife Cambria for this one
Coheed and cambria and claudio's parents (in the comics)
I love how Claudio always seems genuinely surprised and appreciative when people compliment his style and skill. What a boss
I tell you as a fellow musician, we always know what we don't know and that we could be so much better lol
It's called being humble.
Boss ?? Meh us mere mortals know not of the gods 🤔😅👍

Claudio doesn't get enough credit for being just an absolute beast on guitar and singing at the same time, crazy talented.

He sounds f-ing amazing......we are taking our 14 year old daughter to see them June 8th, my bday!! Shes been listening to them since in the womb
Thats awesome - Im taking my 14 year old son. Im so glad Ill get to share this with him! Have fun!

Agreed their voices complement another's pitches and range so beautifully it's almost McCartney Lennon and Harrison esque!
Very few people have the rare gift of speaking music directly from the heart. Claudio is one of them ❤️
Seriously, when are we getting that C&C acoustic album? I mean, come on... :')
I would KILL for this
I mean, half of My Brother's Blood Machine is basically original acoustic Coheed songs.
@@williancruz9657 its kind of electronic stuff there too, not only acoustic lol
@@luispq7469 I said most, not all lol.
Songs like Gunner Recall and Dear Little Cecilia are acoustic.
There is the Kerrang album
Coheed dropped secrets when I was in high school. Best album ever
Secrets. 4. LIFE. Easily one of my favorite records of all time.
I was in college. I was a progressive metal dude and this shit blew my mind.
Claudio is such an astonishingly talented man, yet, so humble and meek. What a wonderful human being.
During lucky stars you can just see the love between claud and chondra the way they look at each other when performing that song says it all
His guitar skills are wild! Plus singing. Most impressive. What a smooth riff

You guys are a force to be reckoned with!
Lucky stars is such a beautiful song
I forever dedicate the Gutter & Lucky Stars to Michelle Bellows; my wife.
I'll keep fighting for you in this life worth living babe...
I saw the gutter video before this years ago and it’s amazing to find out his wife is singing with him.
The end of The Gutter's melody with the "Well keep counting on you", has I'll Stand By You vibes. Amazing song!
This was amazing. I've wanted to see Claud cover Englishman In New York since Josh's vid of him singing along and getting invited into the Sting rehearsal
Absolutely stunning. I cant wait to spend the rest of my life listening to your beautiful voice Claud 😉
I was so not ready for that cover. I ran down the hallway when I heard it confirm my ears lol. Just an amazing song and brilliant cover!!
Gosh she’s just cute as a button! Such a beautiful performance from both of them. Will be listening to this on repeat thanks
You guys are #goals and I couldn't be more proud of two people. Keep on making this world turn. Love.
Nothing but pure love for Coheed in every shape and form. Beautiful.
Just incredible! Both quality of voice is impressive! Note the control! Please never stop singing!

Englishman in New York is one of my favorite songs by Sting. Excellent cover!
The best cover
My brain won’t stop hearing violins during Lucky Stars.
Lucky Stars are my favorite song of all time.
Damn, this was beautiful.
Thanks for inspiring me to make long ass prog songs! If you do a world tour, pass through South Africa🤘
Hell yeah, about time to make plan
Claudio's laugh is probably my favourite noise 💙 followed closely by his voice
watching him play englishman in new york hurts my fingers XD
Hurt my fingers and my brain
That and fact he can seamlessly sing while playing
damn! that voice gives me goosebumps
One of the best singers I miss these gys

Chondra's harmony was really pleasant.

wish I could have seen this live, but no regrets.
Perfection performance here. They mixed like glue on harmony.

Claudio's wife does so well back tracking the bassier notes.

See, fellas? No skull crushing breakdown, and we liked it anyway. My little metal heads are all grown up!🤘

She should do the Coheed and Cambria's backing vocals!
Rodrigo Vargas chondy actually does a lot of backing vocals for the band and she was AllMother in the afterman.
