Thanks for going over the small quality of life details (cup holder, accessory bag placement). Push carts all function similar but it's these small differences that make owning one over the other that much better!
Got the bag boy nitron after testing them in the store. It folded up very small and easily, nice grip, good drink holder and a spot for my phone. It was the best by far. 💯
12 years ago my wife bought me a bagboy express 180.. I still use that cart until today. Wife for my birthday bought me a bagboy nitron with a bagboy quicklok bag.. so best wife award goes to her...can’t wait to use it.
Great video. I’m looking to upgrade from my 2-wheel pull type and can’t decide between a 3-wheeled or 4-wheeled, and between Clicgear and Bagboy. Your video had the most information of any I’ve viewed and I appreciate you giving an honest opinion rather than just stating generically “they’re all great” like so many other videos do.
Thanks Michael. I ended up going with the Bagboy Nitro. So glad I did! Opening it is so fast and fun. 1 second! Amazing. Love the magnetic compartment and it’s overall stability. Great choice for anyone looking for a 3 wheeled.
@@davidr3246 How are those elastic bands that hold it in place? They don't seem super practical or easy to fasten... How has the trolley held up are you still happy with it?
Maks Mir I was concerned about the bands as well, but in fact they’re very durable and quick and easy to hook and unhook (though overall I like the elastic band on my wife’s cliqgear better, but like my cart much better overall). The cart is holding up awesome! I play a lot and no signs of wear or impending malfunction. My only complaint, very minor, is the lack of a decent pencil holder on the outside. Your options are to always open the compartment to get your pencil for scoring after every hole, or do what I do and slip it into the pouch which I find the fastest and most convenient. Speaking of that pouch: great feature! Lots of carts don’t have that but it’s more useful than you’d expect.
Mannie G! Nice video. I review a lot of CadyyTek carts on my channel and have not used a Bag Boy or Clicgear yet! Looking to get one of the two soon. Nice video!
I’m sure all are great, but as a high school coach the clicgear has been great. 8 carts and haven’t had to replace or adjust anything on the carts for 5 years
As someone who owns a clicgear, some if these notes are true but most are exaggerated. It's a great cart. The Clicgear is waaaaaay more customizable and feels better to push but it's is a bit harder to set up and tear down. Both carts spill your drinks over bumps, the difference is the bagboy spills your drink all over your stuff while the clicgear spills on the ground. You can get a click on side bags to store quick access items which solves the storage for $25 and the umbrella holder for clicgear is way better than bagboy. There isn't a wrong choice here honestly. They both have pros and cons.
Helpful video. My stand bag just broke and I'm considering a push cart for the first time. Can you give an update on how you've liked the Bag Boy Nitron the last couple years? Any issues come up during that time? Thanks.
Whatever brand you decide, I would strongly advise against a quad cart. I pushed a tri-wheel for over 19 years and decided to try a quad cart for my wife and me (Big name brand). The amenities are top-notch and VERY helpful & useful. However, my beef is with the four wheels that would make this comment/review germane to ALL quad carts. The ONLY advantage that a quad-wheel has over a tri-wheel is when you have to cross up over a curb or lift in the terrain. The front wheels gives you great stability when you have to lift the back wheels to get over the rise in terrain.; "THAT'S IT!!!!!! For mobility, they are a nightmare as you (I) have to keep lifting the front wheels slightly just to turn the dang thing; you will get use to it but it is definitely a hassle. If I should ever need another one, it will be a tri-wheel first and name-brand second.
@@Kevin-qy9wf Not vehemently against a quad but will still return to a tri-cart. I have gotten used to the quad but still have to lift the front wheels to turn. Also. my previous 3-Wheel BagBoy had pneumatic wheels (took air), which I loved as opposed to the hard rubber wheels.
@@meazlesgolf3455 that’s funny I’m also in the minority that wants pneumatic wheels but it’s hard to find. Might just save the money and buy a used Speed Cart V1 even though the features are lacking.
Thanks Mannie. What I want to know is how you got 3 carts? Who does that? LOL. Bagboy for me. Not going to cave to the Cliqgear pressure. Everyone has one.
Hey, just wondering how well the Nitron’s auto-setup has lasted? I’m looking to get one for this year but I’m worried the piston might wear out. Any signs of wear on it yet? Thanks!
Wow. You need a lesson in clic gear physics. I can open one in a third of the time and with a 100% less fuss. You made that look so painful I wondered if it was intensional.
Thanks for the review. One question, how convenient is the drink holder when you have your bag attached? Are the clubs in the way of getting at the drink?
@@paulkellygolf right when you don’t actually care for something you tend not to treat it very well. These carts aren’t built for commercial purposes so maybe you guys should look at something different. I’ve had two clicgear carts the original I gave to my dad the 4.0 I currently have and love it
You may choose the bag boy for your own reasons but I found his assessment of click-gear lacking. Set up and take down was bizarre of the click-gear. That is not how I do it. Click-gear has loads of accessories to enhance it’s use. I have an add on for my rangefinder that is easy to get to. I have never had problems reaching into the mesh on the handle. Have extra mesh for larger items under the handle. Add on to clean golf spikes.
I cave in to the peer pressure that clicgear is the one to get, it literally was 9 out of 10 everywhere around where I play, had a cheap Masters cart before that was great apart the fact when folded it was huge, bought the clicgear and after 2 rounds I listed it for sale. It is so brutally uncomfortable to fold and unfold with that damn front wheel that you have to step on or hold, when you lock the handlbar too low the whole cart tends to fall over, you just loks like a complete moron next to your car while everybody else from your group is already miles away.
I’m sure the Nitron is dope but the Clic isn’t getting its due. You’re opening & closing it improperly, making it look harder than it is. Plus the clicsessories are vast and awesome. That’s a shame.
It's fully adjustable for height and returns to the set height after folding / unfolding, whereas you need to set the right height for the handle on BagBoys *every* time. Folded size of the Clicgear is larger though.
I just bought the Bagboy Nitron. Very simple and pleasant to use, but 2 issues : no place for the tees and the closed space opens too easily in the car boot, so you can't put anything in it, and certainly no golf balls.
I thought there were two little holes near the handles for tees. See 129401552845147.jpg Otherwise, tees can be carried loose in the storage compartment or in your pocket, right? Good info on the storage lid - thanks. Seems easily fixable with a rubber band.
I may be nitpicking but the nitron score clip on the outside does not have an indent for a pencil similar to the quad xl. Yes, you can store the pencil inside the compartment, but it would be easier to have it right there on the outside when you keep the scorecard on the lid. To resolve this minor issue, I just velcro my pencil to the clip. I also agree with P B there are two small holes behind the cell phone slot to keep your tees.
Unbiased review.......really? Sorry I’m just not buying the flaws you identify in the clickgear. Seems the bag boy is better in every way. Why then does the clickgear and it’s newer version, the 4.0 top all the reviews out there? Love the nitro folding but better in all other features? .....Come on man!
Yup, I agree...totally biased. Ok if you have a severe case of osteoarthritis or you’re 70+ yrs old then yes Bagboy may be a good option. Otherwise, Clicgear all the way.
Top of all the reviews because there are a ton of shills for clicgear. Just go through the comments on this video. It's like he full on triggered some of you people for saying he prefers a bagboy.
