Watched already good video kp it up....y'all keep me laughing sense of humor that's good and funny
Well, my 40×40 is 3.65 acres that my husband found 6 years ago. Had a house that I have always wanted built. After moving in, 6 weeks later, my husband passed away. I was able to pay off the house when I sold our house that we moved from and his life insurance. He knew I would be ok. I am now 71 and love where I live. You're never too old to find your 40×40! I am blessed.
Similar story here. my 40 x40 is a5 acre lot that my husband and I got 5 years ago. He passed before the house was finished. But, I have an amazing church that came in and finished it for me. God is so good to me. I"m 61 and live totally off grid. I have an amazing LGD that keeps this place coyote free.
June leads the pack with such attitude. I just love that little cow.
Me too. She’s always had personality
So do I. She’s such a nice cow
Yes! She is a little sassafras! I’m still amazed the longhorns don’t bully her 😅
Chad, you may already knowing NOT to plant your palm close to the house…they like water to drink… but not all palms need to be planted too far from your foundation…google your particular palm tree…😊
You have every right to protect your livestock
Absolutely!
Chad, have you considered using the trees you cut down to make a rustic shelter for the donkeys? It’d be great to see a little shelter that actually was a part of the land. And badonk would probably love a little 🏠
I just love how June bug and Frank the tank is always the leader
Time to take care of that unwelcome visitor.
Another word to describe you ..I would say your witty !!!!
@@susanfrieler9302 ???
That little bull calf is very spunky. So cute.
LOL June is always the first one in line when you call them , I adore June she is so darn pretty !!
Cows' milk comes in first. A heifer has to give birth before she can produce. MJ is a sassy britches! He's so fun to watch! 😊
That little calf wants to play so bad.
You have the right to protect your animals.
This popped up on my feed right after watching this video. "People are going to know God is real because of your story. Keep going."
This is so true about your story. Your prayers have lead you to this chapter in your life. The Lord is Good! Amen...
I’m in Florida, we go through storms every year Chad, I always say this…peace thru the storm knowing that God is in control. 👍
As that calf grows, he may make Franklin look like a pet.
Agreed
June is always first. She loves you, and she knows you always bring goodies❣️❣️
He’s found your chickens, he will be back. 😢😢😢
Love when you call them, Miss June is always the leader of the herd.
I’m the one who asked about your black ware. Now I know that I am in good company! 😂😂😂 I am so sorry about your chickens, we have coyotes around where we live, they think it is fun to travel next to my house. We also get timber wolves where I live, plus a few more species that aren’t so friendly. My neighbor has tried eliminating the coyotes but he hasn’t found a way of catching them yet.
the babies running and bucking love it lol 🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍
My mom has been saying for the last couple years she believes that our father is closer to calling us home then we are prepared for we believe it is getting closer to the end of days and more as we watch, natural disasters or famine unfold across the world.!
My prayer partner says the same thing.
I keep telling my grown kids & my older Grandkids that the time is getting closer. I'm not saying - Oh he's coming next year!! But None of us know. It could be tomorrow!! Sorry I'll stop.
Chad I'm so sorry 😔 y'all lost 5 of your laying Chickens.
All your other animals look good.
GOD be with Your Family 🙏🙏🌹
Love 🌻 from Apex NC 💜
@@carolynjohnson6792 I tell my children as well I are growing now, but I also tell them that we will all be together when our father comes to take us home! We will stay together whether we’re here on earth or whether we’re in heaven with our father!
Just tried to enjoy each day and see how blessed we are stay away from the evil and the negative keep the positive and the joy close to our hearts !
Sending prayers and thoughts to everyone .
I am sorry for the loss of chickens unfortunately is what it is. I believe we’ve also taken over this planet so much and push so many other species out of their homes that they’re just doing what they can to survive and feed their families. .
I agree isn't it exciting
Way to scare your children!
What a fun afternoon, watching you! First…. I and WE love the sillies. You spend equal time being honest and upfront.
As for ‘keeping the dream alive’….keep praying everyone. ✝️ His best is for YOU!
Love ya, Doss’
❤️Seattle
Gotta say it, I LOVE JUNEBUG ,TOO CUTE . OH OH we just had 4 baby chicks from the incubator and gave them to our Silkie who was broody. Oh my , Silkie girl is such a good mom. That’s all
The End
Your ornery little stinker wants to play! He may be one you can pet with no problem. That would be fun 😀
I'm not sure if you have one, but you might have to get a live stock gaurdian dog to help protect your animals.
I thought the Donkeys were there for protection.
@GalaBrissy They are, but he mentioned that he doesn't think that the donkeys will protect the chickens like they do the baby calfs
You didn’t fail, can’t control what predators will do. Sorry this happened. 🙏After your video from Nebraska needing help, my duty was to donate and I did. I hope it never happens to me. ❤. I think the calf likes to play with you and take off when you come near.
You have every right to protect property and animals. But you was thinking correctly about surroundings. Bless you and your family.
As they get closer to calving their privet swells, the bag gets bigger and the each side of tail up the top will drop.
As they are in labor the bag get full and usually hard.
Raised on a farm.
Bless you all.
Beautiful long horns.
Love you all. Wonderful family. 🤗🙏❤
Incredibly sad RIP 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔Chad you're doing the best you can. Sounds like you have a plan for the chickens to be safer. On a positive note that lil MJ is a sure spit fire absolutely funny lil guy 🤎🤍🤎🤍
Hello Chad, Rae, boys furbabies..keeping you all in prayer. My family loves your enriching videos and how you are not afraid to show your religion.
Hello Doss family. Watching from United Kingdom, i think you narratating is hilarious. I love the 2 baby calves.
Cheryl uk xxxxxxxx
I never get tired of watching them come when you call them, and how June stops and tells you their close.. they remind me of eating at the salad bar chomping on the trees.
dude, you need to get the roadrunner to mess with the coyotes...lol
And an account with the ACME company!
😂
MJ is so full of sass, Honey is so cute following MJ. The cows are gorgeous.
Franklin is so big and Ornery 😂😂❤❤ June Bug We Love her. 🎉🎉 Keep taking care of what you need to...for your farm.🎉🎉🎉 ❤❤❤ Adler, Case, Rae, Carter & Chad🎉❤
I agree you have absolutely every right to protect your livestock or chickens 🐓 or any other animals you happen too have!!!!
So sorry about the loss of the chickens. 😟 Keep on keepin on and God bless!
Hugs Chad u will get that darn coyote I know u will .. God bless and yes your right if someone trust to bring u down get away they not for you. Love u and Ray and all doss family... Hugs from a old granny in northern California
Lived in Maine and experienced an abundance of white pine gown in rows or next to each other . My suggestion is grow them independent of each other and be ready to trim as they go wide not so tall but they do grow tall, they are prone to spread wildly! Just my two sense and you asked for suggestions, this is an informed one. Love you guys!
Howdy Chad Rea and boys God bless yall and your family and critters
Looks like by the picture he got a black chicken in his mouth and they're too darn close to the baby cow
That one calf is so cute wanting to play. Love the videos you put out. I love all the animals but I love June bug and Frank the most.
Heart on Lilly left ❤side she has such beautiful markings
Sorry about the chickens Chad, hated to see that happen, but in time I'm sure you'll take care of that coyote. What I really wanted to say is Thank You for sharing these videos with us. This vid especially was very well done, presented honest opinions, and shows the cares and pains you take to care for these animals. Very well done Mr. Doss. In the Navy we'd say "BZ" (Job expertly Done)
👊🏻
Just wanted to say I've been watching your channel since you were on that parcel next to your dad's. The reason I keep coming back is because it's like I'm visiting an old, good friend even though I've got 30yrs on you. Best wishes for you and your family.
So sorry you lost your chickens 😢 God bless ya'll ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hosta only grow up to about 12”-18” tall. They come in beautiful shades of green & blue/green & grow from tubers like tulips. The plants will spread large enough that you will need to dig them up & split the tubers every few years. They do prefer shade. We had them all around our backyard in Atlanta, but are not able to have them here in central Florida. Between the heat, the armadillos, the deer & the squirrels, tuber type plants are animal candy. If I can find a picture of our backyard, I will email it to you so that will help with your decision. They are beautiful plants. Shanon
Sharon same here. I had many many gorgeous clumps and verities then one year. Every thing started eating them. Tubers, leaves all of it. Made me sick. Now I only have two of the huge leaved blue ones. 😢
Hey Chad on my ex's form there was coyotes that literally jumped the fence and got my goats and was bringing them back over the other side of the fence even with the barbed wire I hope you're careful I'm just glad none of the kids were out and watch the coyotes with the littlest dogs I know you probably all know about this but they will literally grab one of the small dogs❤
Just a little FYI about your Queen Palm. We have had them here in Arizona, and one thing we learned is they are susceptible to high winds. We were advised to set ours closer to our block walls (aka, Az fencing), or near a solid structure. Otherwise they can be damaged. With our monsoons and dust storms, we lost 3 the first year. Once they’re established a few years, they are stronger. Maybe closer to your patio will help. Just coming from experience. You do you. lol.😅
Junebug is always first and always has something to say. It’s hilarious. And of course Franklin is always second and mouths off. 😂
Hey Chad! I've watched for years and love your channel(s). About the trees:
1. The buckets need drainage holes.
2. Bottom watering is good, don't let plant stand in water 24/7. If the top layers of soil dry out, water from the top as well.
3. Most/all of the trees will need some kind of support due to your winds even before planting. Tie a strap between 2 existing trees and stand the new trees near the strap. Lash the trees to the strap with a cloth wrap.
4. Support the trees after planting until the roots have been established, 6 months - year.
Thanks for all of the entertainment you have provided me!
Hello Chad, Rae, Case, Carter, and Adler. I think MJ likes you! He's playing at being an adult.😂 Honey is shy and cute.
Keep those coyotes out. I hope all are fine.
have you ever seen a tulip tree? had one out my kitchen window every place i have lived.
I’ve got one in my front yard
Chad you are exactly right and naturally smart, ( I mean that really and of course you are hilarious, I get your sense of humor) what about some bird shot? We have trouble with Coyotes and have been told by a game warden, if we can take them, take them, but we have to be so careful because of road frontage. I am scared the coyotes would get Cabella though. They have almost gotten our dog several times in her older years. Our dog thinks everything is her friend unfortunately. Continued prayers for the tornado victims. Please put my good friend on the prayer list she was diagnosed Thursday with stage 4 mestatic breast cancer. She needs a lot prayers first chemo is Tuesday and will have 5 hours of red devil chemo..
Hope that calf is all right.
You said you were thankful that we tune in. Well, I am thankful that you put out a video that is clean language, no yelling and that keeps us guessing on what you are going to do next. I am a 83 year old woman and gave up on the news and came to you tube and thus found you and some others that gives me something to do. I don't post often but just wanted to let you know how much you creators help this old woman with good entertainment.
I worked for about two years for a American foods for grass-fed Flatland Distributing two customers I learned some information there I love learning about how they're fed and how different The Taste is😊
MJ is so cute and seems to like playing with you
Hey Chad, so sorry about the chickens. Do you have any friends or family who bow hunt? I’m a prolific outdoor writer/hunter. A nice set of night optics/scope on a crossbow while up in a tree all night is a great way to exterminate Yotes. We have taken many that way to help local farmers. God Bless and keep these videos coming.
Get 2 great Pyrenees dogs. It wilput a stop to coyotes and feral dogs. The pyranees will walk perimeter at night woof woof occasionally. You are peaceful. They wont allow predators and protect.
Get a live stock guardian dog ,
I planted a white and pink dogwood tree at my old house and boy were they beautiful I passed by my old house and see them right now and they're in bloom
Chickens do eat small pebbles to aid in digestion. If you ever butchered one you would see that their gizzards are full of pebbles.
I’m aware. Ours have oyster shells and grit in their diet
Here in South Florida the coyotes will jump a privacy fence and kill the dogs especially the smaller ones. And that's in residential neighborhoods. So they are opportunistic animals that's why your chickens are easy meals.
With the baby calf's could you hand feed them a cube so they will get used to you. It would be awesome to see that. Love Doss farm all of you God Bless all of you
HELLO CHAD & FAMILY❤ HONEY AND RJ ARE SO BEAUTIFUL 😊 RJ’s LITTLE HORN NUBS ARE SO CUTE. FRANK SURE LOVE HIS MOM. THE RANCH LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL WITH ITS SPRING COAT ON. 17:15 Look at the baby horns!!
44:24 I snorted laughed so hard😂😂
Really liked seeing you take down the trees. Sorry about your loss. It was neat seeing the chicken follow you down to the party you have with the longhorns everyday. God bless.
Hello and good to see you again and sorry for the loss of your chickens .thanks for sharing with us take care.
Hello Chad, Rae, Case, Carter and Adler. I enjoy all of your videos of the animals and your family. Sending prayers out to all of you.
Hey Doss Farm Family from Plano, Texas
Good Evening Doss family
Hello Chad
I love hearing your rooster and hen. Rock it bud’ !
Sorry bout your chickens. Awesome video.
Our hostas are just starting to pop up the last week here on the East Coast.
Oh no he's next to the baby cow😢😢😢😢
If I understand correctly, you said you were removing the trees to let the sun through. To grow grass seed. Except They make a shade grass seed. So I'm confused.
Chad, Best Christmas tree is a Black Balsam. The needles are about half the size of a Blue spruce, a little softer and are not as sharp, also draught tolerant.
With Hosta, don't make the mistake people do with them and plants like Pachysandra and Forsythia. They spread fast, space the Hosta about a 3 feet apart. In 5-8 years you will be looking to give away plants or you will ifind more places to grow them. BTW Hosta shoots and leaves are good eats (same family as Asparagus and Agave).
Hi Chad Rae and Boys where are the goats and pig or alpacas does Rae hide them chad never seem to see them.😂
Water from the top drill holes in the bottom don't use bottom containers or you'll end up with root rot on your trees
Great idea moving the coop! ❤
A little something that might help , but sounds gross, and it does work as a deterrent . That is human male urine, in other words, pee around the chicken house and where the chickens hang out in the morning. You can also pee around the fenced backyard where the dogs are. Native Indigenous tribes did this to keep the coyotes out of their camps and villages. They'd pee around the perimeter. As I said, it sounds gross but it does work. Umm Rae can't do it because she is female and the scent is different.
We pee all over outside. Not sure we can cover 40 acres
We did it Arizona around the property I was caretaker on and it seemed to work, even had less snakes coming around.
hello 👋👋 everyone ❤❤ Shannon from Virginia here ❤️
Only thing, the spruce are a little slow growing but they get beautiful and don't need to be shaped so will make a beautiful Christmas tree! God bless your planting! Praying that you get that coyote!!!!
Hi Doss Family ❤ Glad to see you haven’t been picked up and blown away ! I love watching you all and the animals. Thank you so much and so sorry about the chickens.. God Bless you all ,stay safe . Lauri from California
I think your calf that is so bouncy will one day be your be your friend. He is testing you. I use to love the little ones on Dad's farm. That was MANY years ago now though. Keep Smiling. Be Happy and God Bless You, Family and Farm. ❤🙏
Love how the cows all come when you call them Chad🎉. Lovely video. So sorry about that coyote and killing your chickens but understand how you needed the safety aspect before you could shoot it. Very thoughtful and learned of you. Hope you manage to moved the coup inside Rae's fence line. Will you need to put those chicks inside a penned area when they get bigger to keep them safe? Hope this doesn't happen again 🙏🙏. Excellent idea with the tree branches for the cows. Your garden area will look pretty once Rae has planted some plants with the trees etc. exciting changes coming your way. 🙋👍🌸🌹🌼🌺🏡👍. Stay safe and well all of you.🏡👍
Keep up the good work I think you are doing great, Protect your livestock and animals that’s your responsibility and life. Take care and stay strong. God bless
Your cows cleaning up the trees looked like kids in a candy store. Love watching all your critters.
Evergreens need higher acid soil... and FYI... the blue spruce will be like playing with sewing needles if you intend to decorate them for Christmas ... Hostas need shade....
❤ Those baby cows are just so adorable They make me.
Laugh when they want to mess with you😂
Chad, have you considered Guinea’s for tick control because they move and fly faster then chickens but they are annoyingly noisy as Kyle and Shannon can attest to lol. Setting traps for predators is to dangerous with children and small animals so that’s not an option, I feel for you guys, good luck! ♥️🙏🏻🇨🇦
June Bug no. 1. She is my fav.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS.
YOU ARE A VERY HARD WORKING MAN. IT TAKE HARD ,WORK TO DO WHAT YOU DO..IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT HERE (PROV.12:10 THEY CAN LOOK UP.🐓🐐🐄🐂
Dear Family, GOD BLESS YOUR WHOLE FAMILY 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤🇳🇱🇨🇦
Hey from the Ark-La-Tex! Make SURE you don’t plant those Mimosa Trees ANYWHERE CLOSE to your house! The Roots are like octopus tentacles! Had one in the front yard. Roots went under the house and into the back yard. I loved the fast growth and nice shade. Still
Whew ! I thought Matt and Grandpa Doss were the ones that were long winded but today you won hands down It's too bad about the chickens
The blue spruce are pretty but slow growing so don't hold your breath to see those full grown any time soon 💜💖💕❤️💙💚🇨🇦🦩
You kill me ( cow launcher). 😂😂😂
God bless everyone prayers and hugs for everyone love you all ❤ sorry for your loss of your chickens
Thank you for being yourself and sharing your wonderful family and the whole Doss family your love for the Lord and sharing it with usI love it strengten's my faith and reminds me I have Gods hand and guidence in my life forever in me ❤❤❤❤ ❤ ❤❤❤ ❤❤
