Just got mine in the mail today. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.
It's kinda satisfying to watch someone repairing it rather than breaking it

If you are new at mobile repair please DO NOT use a razor blade like that to remove the old glue. One slip and you have to end up replacing the LCD, puncturing the battery and/or cutting other components. Use alcohol and a plastic blade or nylon spuds Ed to remove the old glue.

I broke my iPad and my mom know but we didn’t tell my dad because it’s not the first one I’ve broke and I got it 7 months ago. We r gonna secretly get it fixed but I’m really nervous that something is going to go wrong when they fix it and it won’t work at all or I’ll have a defect.
I desperately need to clean my lcd, because the repair shop I went to seems like they just stuck my ipad screen down and didn’t even care about the gap they didn’t glue.

@@user-iw2nw9kk5e I don't recall, bit I think the screen and digitizer cost about 200 or so from ebay. I bought the glue from the same seller. It worked really well and wasn't too difficult.
@@user-iw2nw9kk5e the touchscreen was genuine Apple taken from a recycled ipad so it worked as well as the original.

The digitizer (glass) and LCD that displays are two completely separate components. The digitizer is responsible for touch inputs and doesn't have to be aligned with the LCD to work, it's really cool! There's even testing cables you can buy that have the digitizer sit completely off to the side of the device and you can tap away and things will happen without it fully installed

When going into the about page in settings for no reason should the Serial number and other things be revealed. Try to blur it out, or open the page off footage.
Ok
Just a few things. Latex Gloves!! Get em, helps to disperse heat, insures a clean repair. Careful not to gouge the LCD when removing old glass. Pasticard/guitar pic under the battery connector, no go, try and aim right next to it, under the logic board (you can heat the logic board just a bit to get a pic under it, but be gentle). The home button bracket should be glued over the home button ribbon flex cable, use super bond hobby glue, or hot glue, (Otherwise the home button might push through the glass). To clean surface areas, get some hobby knives, or a standard razor blade replacement, (A box cutter seems sketchy lol). Clean the frame with alcohol pads/nail polish remover(acetone), to remove old adhesive. (make smooth, any surface where the glass rests). If your digitizer/glass does not come with pre adhesive. Use Tesa 61395 6mm on both top/bottom, (just cut out a space for the home button bracket/home button towards the bottom/charge port), use 2mm on each side. And for the love of the constitution, use eye protection! Ipad glass is fitted to the frame, any contorting and prying with a guitar pic, will result in a crunch towards your face, so be careful. Not trying to critique or over weigh in on your skills, I've just learned the hard way a few times haha! Great vid. Cheers

@@trnxjd4549 You must free up some storage space on your stolen Ipad. IOS will run real slow when maxed out. I find that they run at optimum capacity @ 50%. Haha!
