In my opinion I think you should get adhesive for the iPad because it prevents dirt and drops of water and other small things into the components Plus it keeps the iPad from becoming separated from the screen and it makes it more sleeker

I swapped out My lcd screen and digitizer and transferred the home button , the button didn’t work so I ordered another button and installed it... still no functioning Button... screen looks and works great any suggestions on the Button ... is there a reset I need to do ..
Patrick Barnwell The home button is paired to the board. You probably broke the original home button while disassembling the iPad. Therefore, a replacement home button will never work unless replaced by Apple itself.
