I've got one - put the street gearing and braking on the street rod which moved the pegs out for more confort, changed the bars to a renthal low bars to easy my back, put a tail tide and new exhaust. I like it but I understand the lack of love from Harley lover but for 4.5k second hand with 4k on the speedo, its fun and cheap.

I had this bike as my first bike (taken in by the harley name). I agree its good fun but the negatives outweighed the positives. Weird foot position like you said, rear brake in an odd place. The thing that really annoyed me though was the lack of fuel gauge - you'd just be riding along and the warning light would come on which in London traffic used to stress me out.

    • @freebehindbars8654

Simple to figure out the mileage. Then rest the trip meter every fill up. Also has a fuel light that goes off around 1 gallon. I’d say the biggest downfall is a 750 HD vtwin that’s anemic.

Well even these are gone, but if the streetster bikes interested you, then the vrod series and maybe the sporty... sportsters - like xr1200 - may have piqued your interest as well. Not as wallowy, lard filled feeling or boring as the big v twin cruisers, but still kinda sporty/fun while giving the good parts of the harley experience. The buells would have been interesting for you too, but idk if they ever made it over there. New sportsters may be fun, compromised lean angle, at cost extra for mid controls and high starting price kinda makes that a rough sell though
