The physical therapist would first need to assess what they thought the primary contributors to the pain was. Is it coming from primarily muscles or nerves or both? Once that is determined they would create a treatment plan to treat those impairments. That treatment plan may incorporate other medical providers as well. The first step is to get that assessment from a pelvic floor physical therapist.

Can you give me advice what to say to the specialist (appointment on the 1st may) and I'm worried he won't take me serious! I had gangrene in my perineum and I'm getting all the symptoms of hfs plus they don't know what's caused it and I'm at the end of my tether! Been in pain nonstop since I was 14-15 and I'll be 36 next month
We hope that any specialist takes their patient's pain seriously, but I do understand that this is not always the case. My advice for communicating with any healthcare provider is to be honest, try to explain your symptoms effectively, and ask questions to make sure you understand what they are saying. Often patients bring a list of their questions or symptoms to their appointment so they are sure they don't forget anything. Good luck and I hope that they are able to help you!

It is a manual technique that lengthens the muscle with the intent to normalize it's mobility and eliminate any myofascial trigger points, should they be present. This is a technique best performed by a pelvic floor physical therapist.
@@chxwv Yes, this is an external treatment that begins at the base of the penis to the perineum. It is performed when the penis is flaccid. This is a technique that should be performed by a pelvic floor physical therapist. If it is indeed a technique that is appropriate for you, the physical therapist may be able to teach you how to perform this technique on yourself.
@@PelvicHealth what if the reflex erection from touch does not allow it to be in flaccid state? Thanks for your previous response and in advance for your response to this message.
@@chxwv It's difficult to give you accurate information about the specifics of your condition without doing an in person assessment. I don't think I completely understand your question. However, if your physicians have ruled out other causes for your pelvic pain, it may be helpful to consult with a pelvic floor physical therapist.

Anatomically no, every person’s penis size varies. Treatments such as pelvic floor physical therapy or medications can improve blood flow and improve strength and blood flow (thus making the penis bigger) back to your normal. There are several protocols out there that aim to do this, but often cause problems and are not effective.
She's not a mens health dr. And she's not a male. Anyone can Google what she answered. Why must women do videos like this. When they truly haven't a clue. Except for what they read
Thanks for the video, very informative. You mention doing an external exam from the rib cage to the knees front and back. Will a patient be completely undressed at this point? Will the therapist be looking at the genitals?
Yes, the patient is undressed from the waist down. However we use a drape to cover the patient. We do our best to only expose the tissue we are addressing with manual therapy and cover the rest of the body. The patient's genitals are covered with the drape virtually for the entirety of the treatment.
It is very uncommon for a patient to get an erection during treatment. However, in the off chance that a patient does get an erection, the therapist usually steps out of the room for a few minutes to give the patient some privacy, and then the therapist returns to the treatment room to continue the treatment.
