@@santhoshps8927 If they advised you to see a neurologist, we would recommend following their directions & follow up with a pelvic floor PT afterwards.
This is very individualized and based on the presentation of each person in particular. There are certainly times where it is recommended to strength the hip stabilizing and gluteal muscles to prevent the pelvic floor from over working but this would not apply to everyone. It is best to see a pelvic floor physical therapist who can appropriately evaluate and treat based on your presentation.
Hi. I got circumcision 9 days ago. Everything's gettin back to normal I guess, but since my childhood the glans has always been very painful to touch. Way too much sensitive. I was told circumcision would help the problem and I'm sure it will, in time.. It's been 9 days and I think it's toughing up a bit but still very uncomfortable to walk properly. I am not in so much pain as before, but still very sensitive. I'm just wondering when will I be able to get back to my normal life. How long does it take until it toughens up completely? Are there some tricks and tips and an exact time period for it to be healed totally? Is it possible that it stays this uncomfortable for a long time? It terrifies me.
Thank you for sharing your story. Everyone truly heals at different rates. It would be best to speak with your doctor as to the expected time frame. Without knowing more about your specific case, we can not say for certain. You are also still very early in your healing.

Informative video as always. Glad I found this channel. Can amitriptyline (endep) in low dose (25mg per day) be used to help manage penile pain? I have heard that it is safe to take it long term if in small dose (up to 25mg per day)
Yes, those symptoms are all consistent with pudendal neuralgia, particularly the penile branch of the pudendal nerve. Yes, amitriptyline can be an effective and safe medication to reduce neuropathic pain. I would recommend speaking to a pain management specialist to fully discuss whether this medication is appropriate for your particular situation and to review the potential side effects.

BigdaddyShane I feel your pain, really. December 2021 I caused this problem by not paying attention to what I was doing. I have been suffering since. You have gone further down the rabbit hole than I in localizing your condition. So far, I have seen 2 Urologist. The first Urologist I visited 7 days after the accident. Basically, what I believe happened was an unintended Jelq. Doing something down there and looking at my phone. Is like looking at your phone while driving. When something bad happens, you get the surprise of your life. I was reading e-mails while performing a stretching technique with my other hand and a lucite rod. I definitely did not intend to Jelq. I was sweating when I looked down and noticed something terrible occurred. In disbelief, I saw myself limp. Like all pressure was gone. When I started stretching I was flaccid as always. But at some point during the activity, I started to become engorged, but continued despite being aware. I was thinking it would subside, because it was totally involuntary. I didn't realize what I was doing until I started sweating. I literally jumped up so fast like out of a bad dream. But it wasn't a dream, I caused this, and am paying the price in obvious ways. When I visited the first Urologist and described what happened. He told me "Well there is nothing we can do about that". Incidentally, we discussed my Congenital Curvature (my reason for the stretching). He said "But when whatever this is heals, come back and we can take care of the curvature with Plication surgery". What did I tell him I experienced in the days leading up to my appointment with him? I could not get an erection following the incident for 2 days. I was nervous to even try, and worried so much that I became periodically depressed. I felt like my life was over. The sensations I was feeling in and around the prostate, as well as in the penis was uncomfortable. Urinating was now an activity that seemed like I was age accelerated by 10 years. The force was diminished, and now I regretted what I did. This organ was perfectly functioning, except for the curvature. Sensations by thought or touch were predictable. But now, it wasn't quite the same, and I didn't know what to do. So I waited 4 days to see if anything improved. On the 4th day I deliberately attempted an erection and ejaculation. It wasn't easy but I did achieve both. However, normally my erection would be sustained longer. It was like I was exhausted, and the pleasure was accompanied with strenuous pain. No, endorphins didn't mask the problem. I was apprehensive about thoughts that could lead to an erection. I felt the sting at the tip, and didn't want to exacerbate an unknown injury. When I left the Urologist office, it was with his assurance that time heals. He didn't ask me to follow-up or anything. He left the outcome entirely up to me. So I went to pay the $103 Co-pay, leaving and feeling like I could have saved my money. He did visually inspect me, but the entire appointment was about 12 minutes. I have suffered and am frustrated, because time does not heal all. Countless hours of research went into searching for someone with a similar experience. Now, I have a persistent pain in the groin, and urine does leak. I run daily, during the first couple of months it was difficult to not feel like I had to pee after a few minutes. Even when I stop it with the muscle that controls outflow. Some urine in the Urethra still comes out, there's like a vacuum or something that prevents me from deliberately expelling fluids like I used to without hand manipulation. Yes, that includes ejaculate. I have gone from shooting, to some kind of spray, and now almost a nominal eruption that I have to coax . What used to be predictable and exciting is now predictably so so. To anyone that can understand this, it has affected my psyche. Why is this worse for me? I am recently divorced and starting over. This has caused a delay in my desire to explore new possibilities. Fast forward to May 18, 2022, after nearly 5 months. Going through it all this time, I was also trying to find a Urologist that can correct curvature without permanent sutures. I did find Dr. Gelman in Orange, California. Of course he's out of network, and at a cost of over $7000 + flight + hotel, it's a substantial amount. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find a Urologist, that performs curvature correction without permanent sutures. Whether it's Peyronie's or Congenital, finding a Urologist that doesn't rely on permanent suture techniques is my preference. After months of discomfort I came to the realization that I might have to live with the conditions I caused. So the only thing I could do was to forge ahead with the curvature correction. But right now, the cost for Dr. Gelman is prohibitive. So I found another Urologist, Dr. Durrani in Houston, Texas. This time the Co-Pay of $183 was required before being seen. Although I explained the cause, he wanted me to take a Semen bacterial infection test. The results are in and now, I have to schedule another appointment for him to explain the results. Also, he provided information to follow-up with Katie Beckham, PT, WHNC in Houston, Texas. I have searched countless hours online for solutions. Dr. Durrani said the symptoms I feel and described, seem like I have Prostatitis. Before the problem occurred, I barely noticed my prostate was there. Now it's like a sensation that says hello it's your prostate, especially when sitting in the car. I ordered Prostate Support from California Products recently. The stinging, almost needle like pain that originates from somewhere to the tip. Was the first thing I noticed, it does subside sometimes, but has not fully resolved itself in 5 months. I ordered a Mushroom Complex with Lion's Mane and Nervive all from Amazon. After I discuss the results with Dr. Durrani, I'll try to come back and update. One more thing. The video presented by Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation Center. Is the most precise and detailed description I have ever heard relating to the condition. An important aspect of seeking help. Is being able to trust professionals do understand our problems, and will help us overcome them. Without trust, we are left to wonder why no one understands, and why we have to invent our own solutions. After watching the presentation here, I have to say, they have my trust.

I think we have the same issues because everything you described is similar or the same as me. We wouldn't expect the texture of the tissue to be altered with pudendal neuralgia, but hypersensitivity to touch, also called allodynia, is fairly common when the penile branch of the pudendal nerve is irritated.
@@joshabraham7760 Hello! This is a response to both of your questions: We would not expect pudendal neuralgia to cause any changes to the skin, like peeling. my problem start 2 year before daily motarcycle ride 110 km starting low back pain then urine urge frequently and utrethera burrning my urine report, abdomen ultrasound, semen culture all reports negetive plg tell me
Your symptoms, along with your negative reports likely indicate some pelvic floor dysfunction. These muscles control sexual function, urinary function and bowel as well as provide core support and stabilization. Many people with pelvic floor dysfunction also have low back pain. The vibration from the motorcycle as well as the positioning and perhaps other myofascial imbalances from sitting, lifting, previous injuries, etc. may be playing a role. Seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist would be a good next step.
Most of the cases here are purposely caused from Jelq, excessive edging and penile pump usage which their cases are permanent but my question is what percentage falls under natural penile pain where you never practiced any bad habits just pelvic floor tightness from severe stress/anxiety, I have zero pain in my penis but do have some slight discomfort in my thighs where the scrotum meets the leg
Penile pain caused by pelvic floor muscle tightness from stress/anxiety is something that we commonly treat with pelvic physical therapy. We would suggest working with a pelvic physical therapist if you are experiencing penile pain from pelvic floor muscle dysfunction.

Mam from the past 2 days, during the afternoon Whenever I go to discharge urine after that I have a burning sensation on tip of the penis, There is no pain just burning sensation and It gets vanished after 1 hour. Mam please tell me what to do
What am i experiencing right now is I feel a little pain under the head part ( near the stem-like thing in the head part ) it feels like something pointing a sharp object inside of it
We would recommend starting with seeing your primary care physician, and then see if you can get a referral to pelvic floor physical therapy. Hope this is helpful!
I have a pain in my penis head. No other place this pain is present. I have already consult with an urologist, skin specialist. They didn't found any problem. But still i have feel hurt when touch it. When friction is more then pain is more. Friction means when i move and walk more. Then that time penis contact with underwear and due tp friction, pain ia more.
Pain in the glans penis (head of the penis) can be from a variety of reasons which may include tight pelvic floor muscles and/or nerve irritation of the dorsal branch of the pudendal nerve. Muscular pain is often better in the morning and worse as the day progresses. When we sleep, we rest and this helps muscles feel better. The more we stand, walk, and move through the day, the more those muscles become sore. There are other potential causes as well. You should work with a pelvic floor PT to develop a plan to help you feel better!@@garyjohnson5869
The penis itself does not contain muscle. However there is a significant amount of fascia and blood vessels that can be impacted. Treatments vary depending on what the actual issue is as well as the cause. You would want to see a urologist to do proper testing and assessment - ultrasounds, etc. to see if there is an actual tear or calcification in the fascia or in the blood vessels - that may typically require medical management. Your pelvic floor muscles are not in the penis, but are involved in sexual function and urination. Pelvic floor therapy would be the treatment for muscle dysfunction and again, treatment would depend on what your findings are. Here is a good link that explains erections and ejaculation and how the muscles, fascia, blood flow, etc impact penile function www.youtube.com/watch? v=lwGV6XRo8nc&list=PLeOKsGaDqnAzMpXWUrb2oDqC_EbDsvhas

Hello, the video is very informative. Well for my case, I do not have any pain when my penis is flaccid. During intercourse, the first round I don't feel pain when erect and even after ejaculation. For the second round onwards, I start experiencing pain when erect. The pain occurs on the left side that soft circumcised are just behind the ring head. When I massage the that painful area, I feel a sharp pain in an area like vein. Even when I have wet dreams, once I wake up, I feel pain in the very same area once my penis erects. When flaccid and during urination, no pain is experienced. What might be wrong in this, can it be a symptom of UTI/STI or maybe a nerve stretch or some bacterial infections along the vein/urethra? Looking forward for your response which will be so helpful.Thank you in advance.

For my whole life I was perfect. On April 20th, 2020 I masturbated for the first time. I was addicted. Did it every day until December 9th, 2023. That day after a regular masturbation my penis was in pain and I had to keep peeing. This has been a journey. Been to urologist. Ofc got diagnosed with prostatitis. Sometimes I get pain, frequent urination. It’s quite literally hell lol.. I haven’t been on any anabiotic since February. It’s now 8 months with this problem. I feel pretty good. Bath every night, change my diet, masturbate when I really have too (once a week or once every 2 weeks) sure I’m feeling a bit better. But sometimes being in public i can start having a flare up and I hate having to pee a lot in public. Funny, back then people would always say “dude you never have to pee ever” and now too “bro you use the restroom a lot”.. haha only if you knew. Idk I might have to forever and it’s heartbreaking telling myself that. But… just gotta keep getting better. I wanna say this was caused by stress and the frequent masturbation. I had to injure like a nerve or some shit. Miss my old life

can strengthening your glutes, hips, psoas, help with the condition of tight pelvic floor muscles?
This is very individualized and based on the presentation of each person in particular. There are certainly times where it is recommended to strength the hip stabilizing and gluteal muscles to prevent the pelvic floor from over working but this would not apply to everyone. It is best to see a pelvic floor physical therapist who can appropriately evaluate and treat based on your presentation.

Great explanation lets fix it.
Working with a pelvic floor PT and other providers can help you get on the road to recovery!

Hello I've been having issues with intermittent penile pain aswell sometimes the tip sometimes the in the shaft itself it Varys in intensity and only last a few seconds but it flares up throughout the day randomly no pain with urinating at all, I had urine cultures tested negative I can still function daily as normal but it's always on my mind I'm a young father 27 years old with 2 small children I've had a history with masturbation alot but not in any rough way tho I think it might have caused this but I'm not sure I also have been going to the gym the past 3 years I did injure myself with deadlifts once or twice i don't do them anymore I'd also like to mention back in March I had a kidney stone but no issues afterwards I don't think it's connected I'm just throwing it out there any advice I'm going to see a urologist in December
I think I've also had urinary issues but I didn't think much of it things like not being able to fully empty the bladder without pushing it straining and some dribbling at the end other than that I'm pretty healthy.
I think we have the same issues because everything you described is similar or the same as me.
I can still function but the anxiety surround it can become unbearable sometimes and I’m also due to see a Urologist in December.
I believe my issue has been caused by excessive masturbation, sitting down too much and not drinking enough water.
Working on these three things has definitely helped so they may help you too!
Pelvic floor dysfunction may be a large part of your symptoms. The urologist will probably run tests to ensure there is no medical issue. This would be where pelvic floor physical therapy comes in. There may be a nerve component and/or muscular component causing these symptoms and an evaluation with a pelvic floor PT would be a great place to start.

The jelqing may have caused a stretch injury to the dorsal branch of the pudendal nerve. I would recommend a consultation with a pelvic floor physical therapist to treat the myofascial components and a consultation with a pain specialist to discuss medication options that may help to decrease the neuropathic symptoms.

Hello Miles, any relief or updates you can share?
Hello thanks for this video it is my last hope , could penile nerve irritation also change the texture of the glans ? also Anthony that comes in to contact with it seems to irritate the glans is that normal for Penile nerve irritation?
We wouldn't expect the texture of the tissue to be altered with pudendal neuralgia, but hypersensitivity to touch, also called allodynia, is fairly common when the penile branch of the pudendal nerve is irritated.
@@PelvicHealth could it cause the skin on the glans to peel?
And could it also make glans more easily irritated ?
@@joshabraham7760 Hello! This is a response to both of your questions: We would not expect pudendal neuralgia to cause any changes to the skin, like peeling. We would consult with a urologist and/or a dermatologist for this symptom. Yes, pudendal neuralgia could make the glans, or the shaft of the penis more sensitive to touch or more easily irritated.

I have penis pain on the left side of penis head just an inch below almost 2 years i did a huge mistake by massaging my penis with oil and i masssged almost a month everyday for 30 mins. Since that massage i got the pain and still it is there.
We're sorry you're in pain! It may have been that the massage stretched and irritated the pudendal nerve. You may want to consider working with a pelvic floor physical therapist who can recommend strategies to support nerve healing and perhaps a pain management MD to explore medications to support nerve healing, often combining meds and PT has the best outcome!
It appears that i have overstretched/traumatized my penile nerve from abusing a penis pump, rough sex and masturbation. This has been going on now for over three months and unfortunately i kept aggravating it. It has been three weeks since i have done anything to irritate it, however i am only marginally better. my problem start 2 year before daily motarcycle ride 110 km starting low back pain then urine urge frequently and utrethera burrning my urine report, abdomen ultrasound, semen culture all reports negetive plg tell me
Your symptoms, along with your negative reports likely indicate some pelvic floor dysfunction.

Penile pain caused by pelvic floor muscle tightness from stress/anxiety is something that we commonly treat with pelvic physical therapy. We would suggest working with a pelvic physical therapist if you are experiencing penile pain from pelvic floor muscle dysfunction.

Treatment for mild muscle tear in left side of the penis?

Hello! We recommend you checking in with your physician or doctor to get examined. Without further information or an exam, we cannot advice here.
How long that been going on?

What is a solution for pain in penis
This would depend on the pain- but we would direct you to seek treatment from your physician/urologist.
The pain kicks in after i ejaculate, it hurts in the tip and top of the shaft. It clears up after a few hours or a day. Will this help? I think i got this pain from kegels and aggressive jelqing.
Your symptoms and history are consistent with pelvic floor dysfunction and/or pudendal neuralgia. Yes, a pelvic floor physical therapy evaluation is warranted and would likely help to resolve your symptoms.
Miss my old life
You may consider seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist at some point. Since you mentioned urinary issues, there might be a pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. We can't say for certain or give advice without seeing you as a patient as an in-person evaluation would need to be conducted. But this might be your next step in your treatment plan. We are going to link our archive of blogs on the topic of prostatitis so you can have some resources! pelvicpainrehab.com/?s=Prostatitis+
