+KukuBuggy I had the same question at first: you have (x+2)^2 + 3(x+2). Focus on the first part, that's where the 4x comes from. (x+2)^2 is the same as (x+2)(x+2). X*x=x^2; x*2=2x; 2*x=2x; 2*2=4. So you end up with x^2+2x+2x+4. Simplified you get x^2 + 4x + 4. Hope this makes sense.
