    you are doing a good job with what you are doing on youtube.
    it must be people from the garages that have looked at the cars before you have.
    don't like it as you have proved them wrong the poor people that have been ripped of by some of these garages is silly.
    these garages will make more money by doing things right and treating customers with respect and treat them fair and admit if they don't have a clue what they are doing with dpf systems.

    Absolutely spot on, each time you open you fuel flap a magnetic circuit is broken and Eyols fluid is injected into what is assumed to be a full tank. If you open flap to fill tank you will get good use of the fluid, partial fill the tank then you run out of additive quickly. The Fluid a type of metal and will pass through the engine and embed in the Particulate filter. It has a lower ignition point than the soot trapped there and ignites more easily promoting a better regen. My Peugeot 407 had a three litre tank on left hand side just in front of the rear wheel. The level is a calculation based on fuel tank flap opening and closing. 2006 2.0 HDI Estate. It needed a reprogram on the engine ECU to reset it as the Peugeot Garage could not do the reset. I paid a guy to do the reset first but he could not do it, software bug.

      "each time you open you fuel flap a magnetic circuit is broken and Eyols fluid is injected into what is assumed to be a full tank"
      At newer cars, this Eolys additivuv is injected according to really tanked fuel, by 10 l steps. No "full injection" after just openig the fuel flap.

    • @khalidacosta7133
      @khalidacosta7133 9 месяцев назад

      Maybe on the earliest ones. The later (2007+ IIRC), the pump runs for a varied amount of time dependant on fuel taken. Of course, it's not a perfect system still, so to maximise Eolys, don't fill up small amounts but I find filling up minimum of 40 litres is about right - not too much weight in fuel tank, bills don't get ridiculous etc.

    I don’t know if I’m going to be cynical here but if thats been to 2 garages, shouldn’t a qualified mechanic know what that fault is by the description, or at least have a clue. If they honestly didn’t know what the fault was, maybe they shouldn’t be trusted with even the most simple of jobs such as filling up a washer bottle. It doesn’t take a special area of expertise to diagnose that fault. Great video’s, keep them coming.

    Please, has anybody experiences with this?
    There are 2 tests in the EOLYS Additivum computer menu:
    1. Sound test - the pump must be heard if pumping (=clicking sound) for ca 10 seconds.
    2. Flow test - in which the pump should pump ca 20 ml during this test.
    I have tried both tests and both work on 2 cars (1.6 HDi 92 Hp, Berlingo and Peugeot Partner, 2012, 2013, 360k, 260k km)...but on the both cars the pump gives only 6 ml, instead of 20 ml in the "Flow test".

    I've mentioned this previously.. avoid using the universal "PAT" fluid's. Only use genuine Eolys branded fluids (dealer, Bardahl, Walker etc use these). The reason is, the chemistry is vastly different and incompatible with each other. Solvay, manufacturers of Eolys created unique, different cerium and iron oxide materials which is patented. With a new DPF and PAT compatible fluid, I was regenerating every 250 miles and you noticed the regen's. Fast forward 80k miles, same DPF but genuine fluid, I am now regenerating around 700 miles and the regens are unnoticeable. I have saved DPF information through scantools of all this to compare. No changes to engine components (everything still the same) or changes to route driven.
