- Anniversary
Tom and Barbara decide to sell their record collection to get enough money to build a new pig sty and to repair the damage done to their garden by the oil leak.
It's Tom's birthday. It's also the second anniversary of the Goods' decision to try self-sufficiency.
Jerry learns that he has been appointed Managing Director of JJM. While Tom and Barbara are next door helping the Leadbetters to celebrate, someone breaks into the Goods' house and smashes it up.
Jerry tries to persuade Tom to return to his old job with JJM, but the Goods decide to carry on with self-sufficiency. Приколы
It's so bloody nice!!!!!!!
I was 12 when I became aware of how marvelous British comedy is. It only got better from there. I am 51 now. No reason to stop watching the goodies and laughing my still-naturally brown head off. Laughing keeps me young(ish).
Nobody lives or stays young forever, but remaining young at heart for as long as possible is very important! 👍🏻
It is a great cast altogether. Everyone is a gem.
Amazing cast
Best series ever, makes me laugh everytime I watch it. Thanks for posting x
This show is one of the funniest things ever! I watch this when I feel so empty. I is HILARIOUS !
Please watch the series..tooooo funny!
"..Anger is the emotion of upset liver.."
its just like sittting at home with my mum watching Television.
Adorable is exactly the word. I had such a crush on her, back in the day.
This show really holds the test of time. A show that could be on today. Great ensemble acting. What I love most is the friendship of the four. I think the name of this show in the States was 'Good Neighbors' a better name for the show, showing the friendship of the two neighbors.
On a differant note, this kind of lifestyle would be harder in the States with no health care.
They don't write it like they used 2 fantastic cast, brilliant actors! self -sufficient farm complete with veg patches a goat pigs & a multitude of hens... oh & a horse. I can see clearly now 2 why it's called 'tThe Good Life'. Back the farmers!
Why didn't they ever think to ask Mrs. Weaver for the money to fix the issue? Especially since it was her oil and she is quite wealthy and probably wouldn't have a problem writing a cheque for damages.....hmmm....
07:19 A very expensive alarm system just like Hyacinth Bucket had in 'Keeping Up Appearances'!
Classic comedy
Wish I had a gal like Barbara, they had great chemistry, exemplary.
WE ARE NOT WATCHING THE BLOODY GOOD LIFE! BLOODY, BLOODY, BLODDY!!
the life good life
the next generation
i would gladly portray Barbs
as i do in daily life
namaste
i always wondered why we never saw any of there family like parents or brothers and sisters!!
There is something really attractive about a simpler lower production value show than the stuff put out today. Not sure what it is. Maybe it makes the audience think more?
In the real world, absolutely.
My father was always worried about his oil tank springing a leak - even on his own land, it would have been a legal issue.
Actresses today could learn a lot by watching this show. Barbara is sexier in dirty overalls than any of these half dressed things running around today.
Any more episodes?
If you're ever tempted to own a dairy animal, use a stainless steel bucket.
I HATE IT ITS SO BLOODY NICE
If you've got anything horrid to say about Felicity Kendal, then you can just about blummin' well say it to me first!
I always expect Vivian to come smashing through the screen during the opening credits.
@@angrypuppi Greetings from the great state of Texas my family and I watched this show on our local PBS station back in tbe early 80s Felicity Kindell is very unatractive God bless you all
❤
02:54-02:59!
Tom's character is so annoying. Even the actor playing him hated him.
"Hated" is a strong word. I recall hearing Richard Briers talking about his portrayals on Desert Island Discs. As I recall, he said he "didn't much care for Tom Good but always tried 'to act from the person’s point of view, not my point of view.'” It's a bit of a stretch from there to say he hated a character that must have made him a fortune.
Why doesn't Tom just crank out some pottery for the money?
no milk as it a billy goat
