Although I am a fan of modern clean lines in homes, the 1st house appeals most to me. I loved the flow and layout of the house, and the beautiful garden with fruit trees. It will need modernising but it is move in ready as it is.
Huge U.S. fan of ESTC. But...1 mile is "a bit too isolated"??!!!! You can just stand there and see a mile away!!! Just so exquisite. I would move in a second.
Another one of those episodes where you wonder what the people who find these properties were thinking. They certainly weren't listening to the buyer. Two out of three properties were modern and frankly, rather ugly. If I was shelling out that kind of money, I'd expect a whole lot better. Admittedly the gardens were nice. But that's never going to sell a house, not to a family.
I did not understand the choice of the properties in this one. #1 was absolutely lovely, inside and out, but too remote. #3 had completely strange proportions and weird priorities. #2 would I think be workable with changes to the floors etc. but not when it's already near the top of her budget. I do hope they found their dream property!
Why show a single mom with a young daughter a house so remote...like Jackie said, no kids for Eleanor to play with...how safe would these 2 be all by themselves out there?
Who in their right mind picked those houses! Totally a lack of understanding their clients! How disappointing for me , I can’t imagine how disappointed she must have been!

A lovely property that first one. Would love to live there. And the daughter was a lovely woman, and so also her mother. 👍
I wondered who was actually buying the house mother or daughter. Mother had alot to say first !

House 1 - wonderful! Loved everything in it and outside. Liked house 2 as well great position in a village. Wasn't a fan of 3.
First two houses were surely very nice. In the third case brook was a very good Attraction.

1 mile from a village is nothing

The mystery house is certainly not to my liking, at all. But the garden with the brook… 💕
the first place is perfect for them 🙃
Perhaps if the budget was lowered to 350k, the choices would have been more suitable for the size of family.

I wonder if at min.18:29 at Castle Bleak, those Windows are some sort of a Sunroom ?
Mystery house yuk lol
The mother is the one with the social skills, why was the buyer so reserved?
Because the mother was there.
Who keeps track of the elaborate, ancient rules of the aristocracy, such as the horseshoe exchange? It must be a major industry in the UK.
Ugh house 2 and 3 were awful 👎
horse shoe crabs are becoming endangered. best to skip that wasting a life for nothing stuff, oh lord of the manor...
I would have left mum at home.
mum may be a financial investor in this property
very strainge , the houses you are showing
don’t you listen to the buyers ?
