I think the couple was being kind in their comments with these homes.

OMG, the 2nd home is just beautiful,
all you have to do is move in hang your cloths up
and put the kettle on for a cupper., that would do me just fine.

What a spectacular mystery house. I would be happy to have a cemetery next door as long as there aren't too many visitors.

Such a lovely couple. The mystery house was incredible but house #2 I thought was a lovelier property based on the house, and land/garden surrounding it.

House number 2 wins hands down. I would have picked that one as well. Big, spacious, nicely done, and on budget.

I would expect a standalone property with this budget

I could NOT live in a cemetery! The mystery house was truly creepy on the outside. I agree that none of the houses were detached as asked for.

I thought that was kind of cool. Quiet neighbors. And tombstones make for interesting reading.

@@libbysingscontrezzo8419 I don't understand why people are so put off by it! Our bodies will all end there when our souls have left to be with Jesus.
Like you have written, it's so peaceful.

I once lived across the street from a cemetery. Best neighbors ever. They never complained or were noisy or nosy.

The country also looks like a painting. Britain, Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Holland and France have stunning country landscapes.

My new forever home would have to be detached . I’m not plunking down that kind of money for a semi detached house

I loved the mystery house! So whacky but in the best way possible from the outside and the inside just stunning. But then I love huge rooms and basically cannot have enough space around me. House #2 was also very lovely. It was attached but didn't feel like it. I do hope they found their dream house and are happily rambling across the dales.

I've really liked all of the homes shown in this episode! The mystery "house" was so unique and unbelievably beautiful! The outside area was lovely too! For them house #2 would have been perfect though.
I've enjoyed this episode very much (except for the skyr making, I skipped that).
    Thanks for sharing!🙂

First time, three properties I didn’t like at all. I felt the couple were being nice but really didn’t like them either. We’ll see at the end!

Cemetery wouldn't bother me - mystery house was little gothic on the outside, and bit too big for them though. Liked house 2 a lot.

Another house with a garden immediately caught my eye! Beautiful and no stairs yet. The third house was all about the sunny round room... But it always surprises me when people make an offer on a house that appears on this show, and then the owners reject the offer. How come? In the meantime, did they get a higher offer than the price they initially set or what? Such a disappointment for those who are looking for a house in the show.

Who's going to wash the windows in the castle? I think the agent may have been trying to off-load a white elephant.

Do we actually know that the host is in charge of finding the homes? I doubt they do.

The mystery house was all wrong. It should have been a beautiful 4 bdrm, lg kitchen, nice back yard in town. Only the price made house #1 appealing. Show missed the mark.

I love this program. But I am puzzled by the English calling what can only be the second floor, the first floor. But it’s not the first floor. Logically, the first floor is the first floor you step on as you enter a house (in ordinary houses). The floor above that floor then has to be the second floor, but the English call it the first floor. This oddness is pointed up by the agent (sensibly) calling the third floor the third floor. That can only mean that the floor beneath the third floor must be the second floor, not the first floor as the English call it.

Nice of you to correct the English on the correct use of the English language... 😅
Ground floor. First, second and so on. She didn't say third floor; she said the house in on 3 floors.

Did they get their house?? It's so frustrating when you put your time in these videos and don't get to hear if they got their house.

People seem to get so upset about this, but if the buyers haven't made a decision or reported back by final production and air time, there can't be an update tagged on. If it upsets you that much, google the names and the town and you might find a news story.

Why dont these people ever tell us the sq ft on the house?

What is it about the people who find the house that they don't know what DETACHED means? This couple specified DETACH and the first house is ATTACHED on both sides! I skip through the tour. And the second is ATTACHED on one side! This show is a waste of my time.

    • @BritGirlJay

Detached houses are NOT the norm in the UK - they are rare as hens teeth at some price brackets and locations. People seem to forget how small the UK is compared to other places, with a huge population for it's size.

    • @jmfs8738
      @jmfs8738 11 месяцев назад +2

Perhaps the detached/attached situation in the UK needs to be stipulated at the beginning of the show - so everyone’s expectations are the same going in to the search? It’s frustrating for those of us outside of your country who misunderstand the situation. I’m used to saying to someone - this is what I want and don’t want. And that’s what they bring for my consideration. We have laws against ‘bait and switch.’ - So it seems unkind and sketchy when folks on the show say they are looking for something , it is agreed, and then they’re brought other things.

Wonder if it was to give neighbors since it wants in a community. They did love it, so I guess it wasn't such a bad choice.
