I recommend the FL1R from coast. (the 1 in the name is not a typo) Small rechargeable headlamp. Been using them for a couple years now. Also for area lighting the PM550 from the same outfit has been serving us well. Not affiliated with Coast in any way. Just saying these lights have been great.

I use 2 brands because of their quality AND customer service. One is well know, Black Diamond. They will stand behind their product. The other is an unknown - Danforce. They make a rechargeable 1000+ lumen headlamp that is NO JOKE! Both companies have stood behind their products and have done right by me.

Hi, Dieter. Thanks for this helpful review. I regularly use headlamps for nighttime fishing but most often use a red or green light setting to avoid attracting bugs. In your experience, how bright is the red light setting on the LiteBand? Is it bright enough to re-rig terminal tackle in the dark?
