Where to Start Looking for Catfish

In this video I take you step by step through the process I use to break down a lake to find catfish on a new lake that I am fishing. The lake I am profiling is Lake Gaston. Lake Gaston is in eastern NC and home to the state record blue catfish. The state record blue catfish was caught on Lake Gaston by Zakk Royce several years ago. Since then the NC state record catfish has been eclipsed, but big catfish are still in Lake Gaston in eastern North Carolina.
Using fishing electronics at home to find catfish will help you greatly once you're on the water. In this video I am using Navionics mapping software to help find places to fish for catfish. The Navionics Chartviewer is a great application for learning about different lakes and determining where to fish.
