It locks/unlocks the colour panel from auto-hiding depending on focus. It’s the wrong icon as used in the help file. It’s been reported

Look up colour in the help file. It looks like a microphone, but should be the pin as shown.

Ah thanks, I now see that icon is there for each panel. And I searched the help files, but couldn't find it, but looking a bit further and there it was indeed. Thanks for pointing that out 👍
