- Shot in Spring 2017. A Beautiful day of Weasel Trek slope soaring with the backdrop of all the extra flowers and green that resulted from the record rainfall back in early 2017.
Some fun shots of the birds enjoying some sloping. The pelicans and seagulls were out in force. A raven pair was busy building their nest and the hawk moths were busy in all the flowers. I even got some slow mo of a hawk moth towards the end. Mixed into the middle are some clips of high wind, endless lift, conditions. Music is by Jazzbox, The song is called Guitar Funk. Enjoy

Thats how it is here in cali, weather can cooperate in the summer.

Thats awesome footage! I see you over there on the Del Mar cliffs often with the nice AHI sloping and its a treat. Never want to disturb you there flying myself.
Hi Nick. so nice to hear from you. my name is Rich. I certainly don’t want to hog the place so please join too. Every once and a while another fellow rc friend of mine flies his glider there as well and we have yet to crash into one another. :). Lately i’ve been flying down just to the north of the torrey pines state park bridge. It’s way more forgiving there and access to the beach is good if a beach landing is unavoidable.
Ha ha, no worries. The rc scene in San Diego is pretty sparse and I'm just happy to see that someone else taking advantage of the weather to fly. I might get the courage one day to disturb your peaceful flight sessions.

Very cool day on the slope. Got along well with the other fliers... Lol! I am on a quest to slope and built a experimental wing much like this (I have a shorts video of it) I live in the desert and it is a built up balsa wing that I don't think will survive the first attempt at flight... Well at least not the landing anyway. Lol! I think the DF weasel trek is the way to go! Any recommendations? Thanks! Happy RC'ing!
The Trek is a good plane to start with if you want to spend more time flying than building and fixing your own planes. You’ll only operate the right stick of your controller to fly it so it doesn’t train you for rudder control. Another way to get in a ton of flying with zero crash consequences is to use the Picasim app. It’s a great way to build muscle memory
@@28th_St_Air Very cool and I can fly! Lol! I have 30cc and 56cc 3D gassers, Large scale aerobatic planes and several gliders warmliners pylon racers and a whole bunch of other things that fly! Lol! Yes I do like that it's foam because I'm in the desert it will get torn up out here! Thanks, are you still flying?

thanks for the kind words. i did get a gopro 5 a year ago and there’s definitely better quality in that camera than the model 3 i started with.
