Matt , CAT motors are yellow , want HP put in a CAT V8 3408 twin turbo or go the full hog to keep Brad happy , CAT V12 3412 twin turbos , big injectors , You may need a bigger fuel tank , run that by Brad , He may get really excited .... Cheers ....

She sounds great. Would have loved to see a bright shiny clutch fan on the front. It's not a matter if it's going to fail, it's just a matter of THEN. Be different if it didn't cost you an engine, under cloudy skies!
Good video. You might want to external mic your characters. Hard to make out what they're saying.
Thanks, i have tried a few things like different microphones but without it being staged it’s very hard to get good audio as I’m just recording what’s happening without knowing who will be there or when they will speak🤔 when I have more time editing I can usually improve it a bit bit thanks for the feedback😁
Is there truly a farmer that leaves anything “factory?” Straight pipe it and let her purr like a cat should.

installing the engine ( motor ) is one thing, but having to re-connect the wiring and accessories, now that's something else. :)

It's always good to fire up a new engine and not have it run away or spray fluids everywhere. Good job all round. I does sound nice when it's running.
Gerslaton has had this strong wind up to 90 Kls an hour for two weeks , high humidity and temps between 24 to 36 degrees .

Good to see you guys got the challenger back together. It sounds pretty good. I used to work on those back 25 years ago. Place I wrenched for had a fleet of 65 and 75 model Challenger’s. And they had a few 45 models. The place I worked for is long gone now, but back then we rented them out to pipeline companies around the globe. We made them into weld pack tractors and side booms, and tow tractors to pull tracked trailers hauling joints of pipe. They were pretty durable tractors.
Just send the bill to Phil since his puppy has taken ownership :P The cost of running the machine has just increased in terms of belly rubs per hour :D

Matt, have you tried Flowtech advantage in Sydney for a muffler ? They make anything mild,stainless any shape any configuration. And reasonably priced too. cheers Nick

that engine oil filter is the wrong one for Australian conditions it has been superseded to a 1R-1808
the 1R-0716 ones are only designed for a 100 hour service interval in Australian conditions

Great work, team! This unit has been down for a very long time and I know you are very glad to get it back in service. I am wondering how much counterweight you have on the front of the frame.. I think that's a Cat , C9, The one I drove , repaired, was a B, 2003 model, Replaced all the pulleys, Because the belt was slipping, but overall reliable , Plenty pulling power, what year is yours, Cheers 🦘🦘🇦🇺

Holy hell, 6 months, gold plated liners? Where do you get the engines from, you need to change.
And it still doesn't look like any tractor I knew as a boy. If I remember correctly, that engine was shipped to WA for the rebuild but still a long wait for a CAT. Quicker to send it to Tasmania, they are big on CAT down there.
