Love the "Brad is not working" running joke and love even more that all of you are not taking yourself too seriously. No preaching, no "we are the best", no flags. Just stuff beeing done, great banter, giant machinery and vaaaaast Aussie land. Thank you for letting us into your life. You are doing great!
Good ol' Rudolf as he's the one who has invented that Diesel engine sound, can't beat that! It IS good when a rebuild comes to life with minimal issues afterwards. Yes, a 'new bonnet/hood, will make things better, Thumbs Up!
Brad , Matt I’d hate to think what it would cost if you didn’t do a lot of the maintenance yourself, your whole team are awesome keep up the great vlogs
Variety of jobs never ending it’s getting the priority right that’s the main thing Admire the way when things are stripped down the time spent cleaning before reassembling something that carn’t be over done always nice to have clean job when finished
Brad as a good mechanic I’m sure you know the trick of a leather bootlace with I use a piece of electrical conduit on each end to polish crank journals with wet and dry paper. Ah yes belly plates are just such great fun you usually recover lost tools or other peoples lost tools.🤣🤣
It must be feeling nice that things are back in operation again, and that everything is a bit more organized. People even might start to think that you guys know what you are doing 🤣 👍
Brad, are you guys familiar with RUclips channel Cutting Edge Engineering Australia, Kurtis specialises in manual machining, hydraulic repairs/re-manufacturing and heavy fabrication for the earthmoving, mining & civil construction industries that may suit your heavy equipment, I'm really impressed with the quality of the work shown on the channel. I'm loving the diversity of your content, keep it up!
But, unfortunately, not good for the ear drums. For many years I owned a ski boat in which the exhaust silencing was only by engine cooling water injected into the exhaust pipes. It quietened once the water pump forced water through the engine but was insanely loud before then. Hearing aids now help.
G'day Brad how many brothers do you have,I noticed as you turned by the D4 a quick flash of green not sure what it was,it could be grass or Matt stretched out on the tracks taking 5.😅😅😅
The challenger injectors have you got a time for the replacements? If not have you checked in NZ ? Again if not tell me part numbers as I have a couple of contacts here ,see how you go
Which connecting rod did that bearing with the smeared center come from. What did the main bearings that fed the oil passage look like. Did you do a mechanical oil pressure test or check the end clearances in the oil pump and replace the oil pump bypass spring. That bearing would scare the hell out of me. What did the connecting rod journal look like.
It was mentioned in previous videos but the reason it started to fail was the water pump seal went and put water in the oil which thinned the oil just enough to start doing damage👍😁
G'Day Brad, Why do they use a spacer plate? Does it lower the compression ratio to derate the engine power? That's only my guess by the way. Cheers Mate.
Brad ya legend. Awesome work to all you Guys. Pat yourselves on the back. Thanks for your time to include us.

Great video Brad Matt and helpers
Good feeling when a motor starts and runs smoothly after a rebuild.

Top effort all around!!!!!
someone snuck a Case IH cab on your D4 😃....that is like Aussies and Kiwis living together
😂😂

Love the channel 😊
Great job getting it working!
RIP cat challenger
Good job Boys you have all been busy repairing all the breakdowns . See you at AgQuip hopefully
Good morning from Texas
Another great video
another great vlog 👍
Great video
Hope that cat are giving you a good discount for the wait 😂
It must be feeling nice that things are back in operation again, and that everything is a bit more organized. People even might start to think that you guys know what you are doing 🤣 👍
I wouldn’t go that far😂 but yes it’s a great feeling
love the big boys toys
Spacer plate was a very big improvement instead of cutting the block to shim sleeves cuz the counter bores wore or cracked.
You must have all developed Track Bum from sitting on those tracks day in day out
you could put a pipe with slits above the skid plte. every few weeks just clip a hose, or gerni to the pipe and the water should flush the mud.
The other 'effort and time' project was the Grasshopper sprayer rebuild with welding and spray system component refurbishment etc.
That’s it👍😁
"It's clean where it counts" haha😂
*Notes* It didn't take long for Mat to stop working on the D4.
😂😂 I know how to disappear
Love the content keep it up

Rat Rod & leave her straight piped Brad 😂😂😂😂 May not be overly practical but sure sounds good 😜

G'day mates
Great stuff. What are your production crop, or crops?. I may have missed the harvest vids. Thanks.
Thanks! We usually grow wheat, barley, canola, chickpeas and linseed👍😁
all youtube engine builds must go on the dyno. we need to see the horses this puppys making, then page up, and make some more.
Don’t tempt Brad!

😂😂 if it was green it would be Josiah👍 I’m to clever to take 5 in the open like that! -Matt
What Cat series of motor is in the D350E? Back in 2004 I drove a D400E Series II on the family farm for 4mths…Loved every minute of it.
It’s a 3406 just before they became the c15 I think👍😁
@@thejacksonbrothers yeah the one I drove was also a 3406 they are sweet on the jake brakes
Your pretty lucky all those things broke down, otherwise you would all be sitting about drinking beer waiting for crops to grow.
Is that what everyone else does?😂
The challenger injectors have you got a time for the replacements? If not have you checked in NZ ? Again if not tell me part numbers as I have a couple of contacts here ,see how you go
We will be checking in again shortly with them but thanks! We will keep it in mind
What’s happening with the challenger, still waiting parts
Now the grass hopper rebuild

@@thejacksonbrothers thanks.
Are you using antifreze coolant in engines? We in artics use 50-60% and that in the oil ,wear out bearings immediately
Good video to day
All that D4 is missing is air conditioning 😂
Maybe one day
Would you take the cab back off it? I’d imagine it gets hot and dusty in their
How’s the challenger coming
Should be news on that in the next couple weeks👍😁
G'Day Brad, Why do they use a spacer plate? Does it lower the compression ratio to derate the engine power? That's only my guess by the way. Cheers Mate.
I believe it was to give you the ability to freshen up the counterbores at the top of the cylinders and the head mating surface
@@robertquast9684 Thx.👍
Is the D350E truck equipped with a 3306 or a 3406 engine?
The last of the 3406, just before they went to the c15 I believe👍
@@thejacksonbrothers I researched it a bit a found out they call it a 3406 DITA. The 3406 14.6 litre is my favorite cat engine.
You should have been around before spacer plate what a mess
Hey Brad if you’re been crook for a while - my guess is you’ve had the Cookie Monster boosters shots -hope I’m wrong 😊
Gees Matt. You've got one job to do and you still managed to lose footage. Bugger.
Haha mostly GoPro faults, this one was a new one where I had audio but the footage was like Brad was constantly having a crash😂
