I love this contraption of yours. It's such a great solution to the problem at hand. Looks like it'll get a lot of use. The thing that blows me away about Adam Savage is he treats the people he meets with as though they have the same iconic status that people give to him. He's genuinely thrilled to meet with other creators and has this infectious smile that makes collaborations incredibly wholesome.
You and Adam are my two most watched channels, and when he finally made it known he was a fan as well I knew it wouldn't be long before you two were able to cross paths. The fact that you were both geeking out over each other just make it that much more special and shows how far you've both come.
Kurt, I really love the way you work!! Especially how you engineered various tools to make your day more productive. Let’s not leave out Karen whose video work has reached new highs of professionalism!!
You lucky SOB! I'm talking to Adam. I'd give anything to visit CEE!!! But, living in Tennessee and being a pauper means I will never have that opportunity. At 64 and after surviving 2 heart attacks, I can only dream about such adventures now. Congrats, Kurtis on getting to meet this amazing man! Good on ya, boy!
Such is life, Kurtis has been a big fan of Adam, and Adam has been a huge fan of CEE since someone reccomended the channel to him, on Adam's words (referring to CEE channel) "they do the same things that I do, but with bigger machinery, and i hope someday togo to Austarlai to meet them", lo and behold, it happened
What a TREAT! These two are the best engineer/makers around who teaching the world how to do it right. And a big thanks, again, for Karen's excellent video productions!
What's really funny is when you find the 10th channel that you and Adam both watch. I think I'm about there 🤣. First was Canadian luthier Ted Woodford. Amazing craftsman. He does phenomenal work building and repairing stringed instruments. Look him up.
Great video with the intro on Adam Savage that I loved, with turning, welding a real treat to watch the craftsman designing tools to make your job easier. Thanks to Karen for filming the inside of the lathe spindle to show the boring tool reaching the end of the part thanks to all the CEE.
If I could give multiple thumbs up, I would. What a cool thing to have Adam Savage visit you. I remember seeing on his channel that he watched all your episodes and was really impressed with your work.
How cool is that ! - the Savagemeister pops in, the fabrication of the project and the auto welding ! Homey is is always a bonus. Bloody good show to all involved.
I've been watching Adam for years at the same time finding your channel a little ways after and made a few suggestion for Adam to check out your channel (A LOT) I'm afraid over and over again with his new to him machining processes, but it was up to him to be hooked just like me of your machining process with tips tricks, talents and inovative BIY if you can't buy it make yourself. Not to mention a lot of your viewer also started watching ABOM79, ICWELD, Keith Rucker vintage machinery, to Blondihacks for model buiding.
I appreciate how you guys arrived at the perfect recipe yet you keep improving it. tons of machining videos, yet somehow this is the only channel that not only i tolerate the full video, i actually patiently wait for them every week and enjoy, and seeing Adam fanboy over the place makes me really think of what you achieved. i wish you guys the best and thank you Curtis for the knowledge
I used to love metal working on a very basic level when I taught it in the US Army Engineer School and later on the vocational high school level. You make it look SO EASY but I know it is not. I have been watching you for quite some time and eagerly await the next installment. Your vendor that did the laser cutting did an awesome job. Thank you viewed in San Diego, California USA
Kind of cool when someone you've watched on TV and RUclips so long actually has been watching you as well and shows up at your shop. I found your CEE channel a few years back and was instantly hooked. I myself was never a machinist, actually I programmed automation controls, but I have a MIG welder at home and recently bought a machined welding table. So, watching you use you welding equipment and table interests me. Just as soon as the latest video is over, I can't wait to see the next one. I also like the rebuild videos on the new shop crane.
As a Boilermaker of 34 years who has just had to give it up due to medical issues with Ankylosing Sponditis , your videos give me a sense of pride . Your a legend mate Keep smashing it out on the Gold Coast all the best from a Boilermaker on the Sunshine Coast 👍🍻
Your welding is beautiful. I can weld but not very good at it. Every time I see your welding skills I want to run out to the shop and practice. Thanks for the inspiration!
My grandpa got that in his 40s and back then (the 70s IIRC) the only solution he was offered were an early retirement. Hope there is more options these days.
That was one heck of an intro :D and having Adam Savage fangirling over the details of your shop got to be the highest distinction a maker can receive ^^
Just in complete awe over the sound editing of the CEE videos, just amazing, so precise, and the skill that goes into that is simply baffling!! Good on you Karen, what a fantastic job, that we all think, but forget to give the praise! Long time subscriber (yes seen every single video!) from Denmark!
Kurtis, my hat is always off to you for such great work. It's awesome to see the machining you do, beveling and snap ring grooving !!!!! Everything well done Kurtis, and a smile and handshake to the camera woman. It is so true the statement that behind every great man is a woman guiding him !!!!!! 👍👍👩

Seeing Adam Savage coming in on the forklift,I recognized him in the 1st 2 seconds. This is a wonderful surprise. I have been watching him since Myth Buster's TV series. The shop tools you have been making are going to pay for themselves in short order. Will make future jobs more cost effective for your customers and that's ALWAYS a plus. Karen never stops amazing me with her skills with her production of these videos. The best quality work and time saving with the repetitive stuff be showing it in fast motion because lathe work is not super fast and welding either. Thanks Karen for your hard work and time to bring us great content. Homeless may be 10 years old but he's doing great. ❤

So awesome a true craftsman (Adam) gets to see how another amazing craftsman (Curtis) creates!!!!!!
Kurt, I really love the way you work!! Especially how you engineered various tools to make your day more productive. Let’s not leave out Karen whose video work has reached new highs of professionalism!!
That is just awesome having Adam there!
Good on ya, boy!
if you're in the nashville area and ever need a hand, hit me up. Have tools, will travel to help out a fellow CEE fan.
That's freaking awesome. The great thing is, he was as excited to meet y'all, as you were him. Y'all are all three awesome!
Adam's comment about the noise rings very true - the sound of your winch is so distinctive and familiar.
How fun to have Adam drop by! Great video
Now having Adam Savage as a special guest in the workshop...that's just awesome! Bet that was a fun time to say the least.
Adam did say in one of his videos that if he was ever in Australia he would drop by and visit you guys.
Now that is fulfilment!
Automation is a game changer for saving time, especially on simple/repetitive tasks. Makes you dread those jobs less, even look forward to them!
And done right gives consistent can-count-on-it results ten out of ten times.
Right on guys! Another shop-made tool on the books
I've been around fabricating and machining my entire life and It's hard to put into words just how talented and intelligent Curtis is.
Great video with the intro on Adam Savage that I loved, with turning, welding a real treat to watch the craftsman designing tools to make your job easier. Thanks to Karen for filming the inside of the lathe spindle to show the boring tool reaching the end of the part thanks to all the CEE.
Adam Savage!!!! I am fangirling so hard right now I have just slid off my Chair.
Well done Kurtis and Karen - you have made it to a new level.
If I could give multiple thumbs up, I would. What a cool thing to have Adam Savage visit you. I remember seeing on his channel that he watched all your episodes and was really impressed with your work.
Haha, this was so nice to watch! Nice visit Adam. :)
How cool is that ! - the Savagemeister pops in, the fabrication of the project and the auto welding ! Homey is is always a bonus. Bloody good show to all involved.
Seriously cool having Adam geeking out in the workshop
So cool of Adam paying you a visit! He's a legendary Savage indeed. Cheers
Two of my worlds just collided... mind-blowing. Well done guys, that's a great achievement having Adam come to see you both.
Cheers Darren appreciate it mate, hope you can take it easy 👍
Your welding is beautiful. I can weld but not very good at it. Every time I see your welding skills I want to run out to the shop and practice. Thanks for the inspiration!
My grandpa got that in his 40s and back then (the 70s IIRC) the only solution he was offered were an early retirement. Hope there is more options these days.
Man that was a savage visit
It really was! :D
Adam Savage is just a regular every day guy that loves creating things and exploring the capabilities of his mind.
Great editing Karen. I liked the fades between processes. The Talent did good work today as well.
Great to see Mr. Savage at your workshop !
It will be fun to see what you guys can do together.
Happy 4a.m. Friday Karen and Kurtis. So happy for you to have Adam swing by. You gotta love his curiosity and delight of everything. Thanks for another cool video. Have a restful weekend.
Cheers from Florida!!
I have been wondering what it would be like if the two of you put together a project, shared ideas, shared philosophies, please work on getting together. I would call it ….THE DREAM TEAM of THE MACHINIST WORLD! WOW ! How exciting this would be. It was truly an eye catching opener. Thanks to the both of you.
Adam rocks! What a shock and in a great way =))
That inside the pipe shot on the lathe was awesome !
No F.. ing way this is so awesome seeing you too together. I never would have thought I would see you too in the same video
Shop made tools for the win, and Adam popping in was a lovely bonus. I think seeing your workshop was as big deal for him, as it was for you to have him visit. 😃
It's so cool that you met Adam Savage. It was one of his videos that pointed me in your direction, and I've been watching ever since!
I have the pleasure of suggesting popcorn cooking with explosions/industrial fires make it on the show, met carrie and tory, but to get adam in your work place and he takes such a joy and interest in your business is truely incredible. I work with large ag and semi trucks but hobby side deal with the tiny like adam takes on. I watch you with a shear awe on how the size, i have family who works for caterpillar here building things like the 797 trucks and wheel loaders
Greetings from Belgium. That's a super nice surprise to see Adam Savage in your shop, knowing that he loves your channel and all what you do, I'm sure you both had a blast, as he has a BIG interest in machining and precision machining.
Another workshopt tool, another job well done. Will be indeed a major time saver for you, allowing you to perform other tasks in parallel. By the way, thanks to you I got hooked also to HAL's video's.
Big paw from Sadie & Rønne.
It's one thing to have an idea for a Tool, But to have the Skills and talent to make it, Now That's Outstanding. Brilliant.
All Joking Aside..... It shows the *HUMILITY* and *Common Touch* of Adam Savage to make time to visit CEE and spend time with you and Karen. There's something very genuine about Adam! Brilliant, just Brilliant 👌👍😁💪
Absolutely awesome! Since becoming disabled 12 years ago, I miss fabricating and and machining ! Building race cars and trucks!
This is hands down some of the absolute best content on the web. The fabrication skills are second to none all filmed by one of the best. Karens skill behind the camera could not be any better.
Thank you both for bringing this glimpse into your lives and sharing with us. Keep up the GREAT work.
What a coup for you, THE Adam Savage. Great video. great editing by the fabulous Karen, and an interesting build. Cheers Billo.
Seems like the nicest dude. What a champion. Curtis def is worldclass so glad he getting the shine - well deserved and a good sign for the future
Every time I watch you I'm amazed at what you can build or make. Always a pleasure to watch. The filming is always great.
What a start to this weeks video?
Mr Mythbuster himself. That's a BIG feather in your YT content creator's cap.
I guess the Man Crush cologne was thick in the air the whole time Adam was there marvelling over seeing in person Curtis, Karen Homelss and your tools of the trade.
As for your welding set up.
They always say, "Work smarter, not harder!" Awesome projects. 👍👍
That was nice of you guys to let him come by , you 2 are the stars here ! Thanks for all the work to entertain us .
Two big makers colliding it"s amazing. Thanks for the surprise
