4:55 I believe that the suit's energy reserves were drained by the UAC testing, which would explain why it was deemed impervious to damage. When they tested the Praetor suit, they tested it while it still had energy, draining it to near empty before the Slayer found it.
That makes sense, the demon who wrote Slayer's Testament VI described the suit as impenetrable and unyielding. If the suit was being constantly drained by demons' attacks yet also being constantly topped up by the Argent plasma and Hell energy being dropped it would seem to be impervious, while just being drained with no Argent around it would definitely buckle slightly.
I agree with the pocket dimension weapon holsters on the pocket pouches. The only bit I wouldn't say is fully right is about the power ups. As in 2016 it said that Quad, Haste, invuln, berserk, (and maybe regeneration, and invisibility) are spheres of energy that would perform certain actions to the person or demon that came in contact with it. As I believe it said that Quad Damage was some kind of possesser demon that would identify what weapon your holding and multiply it's damage by four, as a subject decapitated some or one uac gard with nothing but a pocket knife. And how Haste would create an sort of exoskeleton of energy that would force all of your systems to go into Overdrive, but it would be very likely that you're heart would explode from the excessive speed. And so on and so forth.
I thought about the Dark Lords powered armor from Doom: Eternal, but then I said, "There's hardly anything about that armor Installation00 could break down". Anyway, awesome video!
Would love to see you cover more Doom lore on this channel, and maybe some lore from the Half-Life game series too cause a breakdown of the HEV suit would be interesting to hear.

Great video! However in all honesty the reason the Doomslayer can simply walk around the mars facility with no oxygen, is because he is the Doomslayer, the guy is basically a god, he fought for eons in hell. Never stopping to take a break, he doesnt need food, water, oxygen or anything a human would need to survive. In some parts of the game you swim in water filled with radiation and you have to pick radition symbols as to not die from radition.
@@dutch_asocialite Yes really, nothing said was wrong. he spent millions of years as a human fighting the demons of hell before he was put into the Divinity Machine and made into a Demi-God then further spent billions of more years destroying them, anything in game is just for gameplay mechanics. nothing effects him.
@@beencomfy It's never defined how long he was in Hell nor overall fighting demons. It could've been a few years to multiple centuries. If anything, the gameplay mechanics are 100% canon.
@@dutch_asocialite it’s stated in lore that the doom slayer spent eons fighting in hell. The Slayer testaments say so, the game can’t show the slayers true power as it would break the immersion. Doom slayer is more powerful in lore then any game adaptation we will ever have. When the doom slayer got out of the divinity machine, it is stated that he has power and speed to match his will. He also absorbs the power of the enemies he has killed. The praetor suit most likely helps him absorb argent energy quicker and more effective. However when he spent time in hell, he didn’t immediately have the praetor suit, he was fighting hordes of demons every day and killed the titan champion, with his super shotgun, bare hands and was probably his gladiator armour. Doom slayer is as of right now the most powerful being in the doom universe, as far we know there could a being more powerful than the Dark lord ever was.
5:52 It might addressed later on, but I believe this secondary process to be the suit's absorption of Argent plasma, Hell energy etc. via the chest and hand receptors and channeling it through the suit to constantly repair the suit, as well as rejuvenate the wearer; going off of what super-compressed Argent plasma is capable of - that being energising everything nearby it comes into contact with - as described in the first Argent Energy entry, that seems to be what's going on and how it appears to be nearly impervious.
I would also like to see what his breakdown for Samus's Power Suit would be like. As it can restructure itself, repair, and even integrate both similar and foreign tech into itself.
The doom slayer is given immense strength by the Divinity Machine. The armor mainly draws in vitaility making him continously fight. Before he was a hero he was essentially a walking nuke. The unstoppable force even without the armor
18:52 I would recommend you refer to the Power Up entries from Doom 2016 as opposed to Eternal, they provide much more detail regarding their operation. I find this important as most of them often conclude with the test subjects described in them as perishing from their effects, either due to their hearts exploding (for Haste) or becoming deliriously mad (as is with Berserk) which leads one to conclude that the Praetor Suit _properly_ and safely channels their effects
Nah, Slayer could take it without the after effects. Doom, Doom 2, and Doom 64 are given anti-feats. And while Doomguy did go mad, it was simply because he was ripping and tearing for a very long time that it simply broke his sanity.
@@dutch_asocialite Nah it is. Doom, Doom 2 and Doom 64 is connected to 2016 and Eternal. Slayer has been taking powerups after powerups before the divinity Machine was even a thing, yet he is still alive and in control with his bodily functions. Unlike the others in the codex entries that dies when they tested it once or twice.
Actually, the reason why Doomguy is able to utilize the hell power-ups without going insane is a result of his strong willpower. Even in Doom 3, the Demons attempted to posses the marine (the infamous toilet window jumpscare from Doom 3) but they failed because that marine was mentally strong even when he was a separate character than Doomguy. The test subjects that you mentioned were just not mentally strong enough to handle the process.
I want to say that the reason why the suit probably provides infinite ammo when you get that power up is because the suit has a fabrication system built into it. Would make sense, as it can store a bunch of weapons in it as well, so it's capable of deconstructing and reconstructing matter. Sometimes enemies drop ammo, and it could be material or energy the suit can use to make ammo. The reason why the suit doesn't do it all the time is because it probably requires a large amount of energy or a very specific material type in order to do it.
The breakdown was very detailed and thought-provoking Considering the pocket dimensions and teleportation capabilities of the suit and the anomalous setting of the Doom multiverse, we could consider the possibility of para-dimensional force dispersion system in the armour, as no matter how much strong the armour is, the force of an impact is still going to be transferred to the wearer as the stats for the slayers foe are God lvl. high, the suit may negates the transfer of any excessive amount of Kinetic energy or other forms of damage onto the slayer and send it to another dimension or mabe it project a different dimensional space (with different laws of physics ) between the armour plating and the inner skeleton like a energy shield to disperse excessive amount of the energy into the pocket dimension while rest of the energy is handled by the slayer like some lvl of push heat or radiation (note that the suit dose the same thing for spawning ammo into slayers weapon eliminating the need for reload ) and can collect some of that energy explaining some power boost from taking damage This is based on the fact that different forms of argent energy in higher concentration can explode and jump to its corresponding dimension containing similar energy taking nearby matter with it (Olivia Peirce Detonating an AE core at AE Tower at UAC Mars facility ; DOOM 2016) The weapons quick draw system could consist of pocket dimension or it may transfer the weapons from the Slayer's Fortress of DOOM 'weapon wall' (explaining the 10 weapon limit or it just for keeping limited to a manageable number of weapon ) as locked away items in the fortress can't be teleported The suit may also have the ability to convert different flavours of argent energy in to various types of solid or energy based ammunition for the specific type of weapon that the Slayer have in his possession or may be its construct ammo according to slayers approach to a problem may it be platforming or moving through the environment to solve a puzzle or to kill an enemy incentivising Slayer for more creative and efficient approach, treating Slayer like a rat in a maze for the sake of time management ( hell it even be giving slayer dopamine rush for killing demons faster)
The funny thing is as cool as the detail of the durability and weight the armor has It doesn’t matter to the Doomguy, since he’s canonically nye invulnerable and has seems to be limitless strength 😅

Man I got into Doom and Wolfenstein 3D back in the early 90s on the 3DO. I’ve been a fan since. The first biggest milestone I can remember was when Doom 64 was announced.
Due to the fact UAC testing said near impervious means that they likely found a way to damage it. It is possible they refrained from further testing due to the one of a kind nature of the suit.
Excellent, detailed armour breakdown. The Doom Slayer is one of those characters that gets exaggerated a lot by fans. He isn’t as powerful as most of his fan base lets on. He isn’t a Superman/ Goku level character. Glad I didn’t see the exaggerated Doom Slayer power level in this video.

I gotta be honest, I prefer D00M '16's Praetor Suit more. I felt he didn't need a blade, considering he could rip demons in half, and the grenade launcher attachment always looked a little goofy, like it was out of place. That said though, the blade attachment is pretty fucking cool, and I don't blame them for adding it. But I think the real kicker is that it was a sealed suit in D00M '16, whereas in Eternal, parts of his skin is now exposed. That irks me more than anything else, honestly, especially when he gets shot through space at one point, just to get to Mars. That detail more than anything, bothers me the most about the suit. It's an awesome visual redesign of the character otherwise though. The perfect new set for a brand new venture into hell. Couldn't have asked for better, honestly.
Hey installation. I hope someday soon you'll start doing the technology from the Dead Space Universe including the suits especially the weapons such as the force gun which somehow generates such a precise force it can descend someone without destroying their internal organs
Haven't watched this yet, already liked and hyped for it, thank you for doin this one, personal pick for best armor, Edit: Quite good, though you missed one thing about the suit that i can recall, the UAC tested a 50 (Give or take) megakelvin laser on the suit and it did nothing, i cannot find a source for it but i think it's in one of the data logs early in Doom 2016 though take it with a grain of salt as i don't remember for sure, great video none the less, would love to see a breakdown of the slayer himself and his "augmentations" for lack of a better term because man, it's crazy
No, that's a misconception, the Praetor Suit entry doesn't make clear what stress tests were carried out on it. Matter of fact, the only mention of a _two_ megakelvin laser is from the Argent Energy entry under the Database section.

Not well. 40k is made way over the top. Halo is somewhat grounded in reality. A bolter I would equate to the brute shot. A lasgun at absolute bare minimum a carbine. And if you've played halo you know how easily those kill spartans.

Thanks for being so clear and attentive to the information actually presented in the games. There is a lot of misconceptions out there it's become genuinely tiring having to talk about Doom at all.
What if when the suit runs out of armor energy, it starts dumping some of the damage into the Slayer because he's so tough and is easier to repair because he's made out flesh that can heal through various means both supernatural and sci-fi.
welp if your exploring other universes and tackling certain speculation, im kinda hoping to see someone take a look at the starcraft 2 cmc marine armor and rifle
I suggest breaking down Starcraft (mainly Starcraft 2) armors, with Terran Marine armor being the first! >-< If that's ain't appealing, we could first compare the Doom Slayer's skins to the base skin reviewed here, then Sentinel and UAC (primeraly DOOM 2016 multiplayer) armors, with other DOOM (mainly Eternal) armors later down the line!
I do not like the version from doom eternal. The one frim doom 2016, fully encasing the slayer, looked amazing. The exposed upper arms of the secind game just looked goofy, like someone wanted to make a tank top but didn't fully commit. Maybe in lore this gap doesn't matter, but for an armored suit, the gaps are just stupid.
The only thing I don’t like about the armor is that there are to many people in the universe who seem to use the same exact type of armor. The betrayer and even some demons are obviously wearing the same thing.
That the Doom Slayer gets damage might be because his Biceps are exposed. On the other hand im inclined to believe that his Biceps are even thougher than the armor.
His damage level is just how angry he can get before he has a stroke, lol
I think its separation of gameplay and lore
The damage is a gameplay mechanic
Its gameplay mechanic, nothing more

or mabe it project a different dimensional space (with different laws of physics ) between the armour plating and the inner skeleton like a energy shield to disperse excessive amount of the energy into the pocket dimension while rest of the energy is handled by the slayer like some lvl of push heat or radiation (note that the suit dose the same thing for spawning ammo into slayers weapon eliminating the need for reload ) and can collect some of that energy explaining some power boost from taking damage
This is based on the fact that different forms of argent energy in higher concentration can explode and jump to its corresponding dimension containing similar energy taking nearby matter with it (Olivia Peirce Detonating an AE core at AE Tower at UAC Mars facility ; DOOM 2016)
The weapons quick draw system could consist of pocket dimension or it may transfer the weapons from the Slayer's Fortress of DOOM 'weapon wall' (explaining the 10 weapon limit or it just for keeping limited to a manageable number of weapon ) as locked away items in the fortress can't be teleported
The suit may also have the ability to convert different flavours of argent energy in to various types of solid or energy based ammunition for the specific type of weapon that the Slayer have in his possession or may be its construct ammo according to slayers approach to a problem may it be platforming or moving through the environment to solve a puzzle or to kill an enemy incentivising Slayer for more creative and efficient approach, treating Slayer like a rat in a maze for the sake of time management ( hell it even be giving slayer dopamine rush for killing demons faster)

Would be cool to see you do a full video on Doomguy himself someday. Thanks for the entertainment as always.
Can't wait for the armory breakdown
Now I just need you to cover space marine power armor
Hey installation. I hope someday soon you'll start doing the technology from the Dead Space Universe including the suits especially the weapons such as the force gun which somehow generates such a precise force it can descend someone without destroying their internal organs
a surprise to be sure but a welcome one
Slayer is so badass he reworked the suit in eternal losing no armour while still showing his muscle
been interested in understanding doom seems to have some cool lore!
Do you think you could do a most detailed breakdown on the power armor variants from Fallout?
@@dutch_asocialite I stand corrected it'd seem, i could've sworn it was in the 50+ range, but apparently not, thanks for the detail
@@Diamond_762 No problem. I would recommend rereading the Codex to brush up on the lore, there are videos on RUclips and the Fandom wiki has both Codices.
@@Diamond_762
correcting what the other guy said
Slayer's Testament VI
UAC REPORT FILE WMHVVFJ
And in his terrible rancor between worlds and through time, the Hell Walker found the wretch who shall not be named, but in his heresy was loyal to his evil cause. The wretch adorned the Doom Slayer in a mighty armor, wrought in the forges of Hell, impenetrable and unyielding. With sword and shield of adamantine strength, the Doom Slayer set to banishing all that were left unbroken by his savagery to the void.
VEGA CENTRAL PROCESSING
The internal operating temperatures of VEGA's plasma based neural net are high - extremel high. Early tests of VEGA's proto-plasmic circuitry showed temperatures exceeding 1.2 megakelvins (hotter than the surface of the sun). To contain this level of heat, a massve supercooled structure needed to be built to house VEGA's miles of circuitry and millions of processing centers. The structure was built away from the Argent Facility to ensure VEGA's secrets remained safe from prying eyes. Access to VEGA polar core is strictly controlled. VEGA's design is so complex that the study of its inner workings have been given its own fiel of study - VEGAcore Physics.
The Slayer's armor is impenetrable and he was in direct contact with the energy of the Vega's core which is equivalent to being hotter than the surface of the sun
Ah, expanding to DOOM I see. Nice to see, especially as I am currently doing a rerun of DOOM 2016, Eternal and its TAG DLCs. I hope to hear some good news this June.
You should do a series on explaining how well truly Halo's tech would fair in Warhammer 40k
Not well. 40k is made way over the top. Halo is somewhat grounded in reality. A bolter I would equate to the brute shot. A lasgun at absolute bare minimum a carbine. And if you've played halo you know how easily those kill spartans.
@@hf117j It's been said multiple times by Bungie & 343 devs, gameplay is not canon, & the covenant is an entire faction of plasma weapon users, & forerunner tech is insane compared to say the Imperium or even Necrons, their like the C-tan but don't need conversion chambers to get a giant robot army, they have a big ass gun that turns people into a robot army, & Sentinels are nothing to shake your head at considering their deployed in the trillions
@@Josh-lu2ew If you read the Halo First Strike book it talks about how spartan Grace more or less gets blown in half by a brute shot. And I don't remember if it even took multiple hits. In Halo that firepower is 5 or 6 shots. In 40k that's just a bolter.
Please make more of these videos.i like it
Definitely the weapons, all of them
Godamn hype.LETS RIP AND TEAR UNTIL ITS DONE
Please do the ARS suit from vanquished please 🙏
Great Video
I really wanted the 2016 helmet in Halo 5 or MCC.
Can you make a breakdown on the batsuit from Batman Arkham Knight
When the Doom music kicks in, everyone runs!
I personally think that Doomguy's bunny powers the suit and that's why it's so powerful.
It's all the rage of John Doom bolstered by the rage of one bunny.
Could you also do all of the weapons
At last... Doom Lore! Halo's shadow archetype. This will be a fine collection for installation lore🗿🗿
Can you do the Daat Yichud power suit from Wolfenstein? It’s an ancient form of advanced power armor.
Very ok with doom content lol keep up the great work!
could do a breakdown on an an astartes power armor or custodes from the Warhammer universe
We need more doom videos
Thanks for being so clear and attentive to the information actually presented in the games. There is a lot of misconceptions out there it's become genuinely tiring having to talk about Doom at all.
We all know that the true power of the suit comes from the anger over a single bunny rabbit's murder.
Rip and Tear!
It is literally insane how fucking broken the praetor suit is 😂
What if when the suit runs out of armor energy, it starts dumping some of the damage into the Slayer because he's so tough and is easier to repair because he's made out flesh that can heal through various means both supernatural and sci-fi.
welp if your exploring other universes and tackling certain speculation, im kinda hoping to see someone take a look at the starcraft 2 cmc marine armor and rifle
solidd contenttt!
Yeses please!!! Give me all he Doom all the time!!!!
Chief is a Demon and the Slayer kills gods he would wreck our boy
I personally prefer Doomguy to take down daemons in nothing but a purple T-shirt, jeans, skaters shoes and a football helmet.
Oh HELL yeah! DOOM, BABY!!
I suggest breaking down Starcraft (mainly Starcraft 2) armors, with Terran Marine armor being the first!
>-<
If that's ain't appealing, we could first compare the Doom Slayer's skins to the base skin reviewed here, then Sentinel and UAC (primeraly DOOM 2016 multiplayer) armors, with other DOOM (mainly Eternal) armors later down the line!
Oh sweet we doin doom now
I do not like the version from doom eternal.
YEAHHHHHHHH RIP AND TEAR! RIP AND TEAR!
T800 Terminator? 👀
Awesome
Would the Backlash wave work on the BFG?
Hells yeah!
funfact, the marine, guy and slayer are the same guy but with different suits. and the pretor suit is guys. as slayer he made a custom one.
Sweet!
Woah I don't think I have ever been this early to a video
I am the DOOM SLAYER and I approve this Video
Doom Dark ages bought me here
The only thing I don’t like about the armor is that there are to many people in the universe who seem to use the same exact type of armor. The betrayer and even some demons are obviously wearing the same thing.
So guys I’m announcing that I will be starting Project Praetor.
Hell yeah. No pun intended.
