I'm gonna do this test now. Also keep in mind that a correctly working tps sensor is needed (online you can find resistance measurements to be done) and also electricals connections of the cdi box needs to be watched off for moisure and corrosion problems. Thanks for the useful content.
I have a new 300rr and I was worried that it didn’t seem like the oil reservoir was draining much. Stopped off at the dealer to inquire and they said you’ll barely notice. “It’s like 100 to 1 ratio for normal riding and around 32 to 1 in hard conditions. I still check it every ride but after 944 miles of riding in the 2 months I’ve had it, I’ve only had to add oil a couple of times.
Sounds like a problem or you don’t ride that hard? I have to add after every ride just about. Only to be safe, but the level also goes down quite a bit when doing hard enduro rides. When I’m just cruising it hardly moves.
I’d say the first 200 or 300 miles were pretty mild riding but I got 1687 miles just in the last 4 months from Moab and at my cabin in the Rockies. Certainly not Graham Jarvis stuff but pretty hard. Every dealer has told me that injection really only fires at the beginning (mostly) and if you see smoke you’re fine. We’ve got 4 Betas among my buddies and we’re all seeing pretty much about the same amount of usage. So I don’t know. I do add a little bit every probably 3 rides or about 100 miles or so.
Hello! Just a suggestion, fill up the oil tank and the gasoline tank the next time you fill up. If you refuel again, fill the oil tank full. You can then calculate the mixing ratio. Many greetings from Germany
how important is it to run Injection specific oil? I have been running Klotz super techniplate in my Xtrainer THRU the injection. I had no idea I needed specific injection oil.
Well, I suppose there is a reason the manufactures recommend it and also a reason the oil companies label them different. I would suggest getting some Oil Injection oil. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
Maybe a dumb question but why the bubbles are staying at the same position instead moving towards the carburetor? Looks like they're even moving backwards. I have a tiny little bubble on the oil injection line which stays almost at the same position even after 1-2 hours riding and it scares me because I'm thinking the oil is not flowing towards the carburetor. Is that an issue to have such tiny little bubbles?
Hey jared i have a xtrainer 300 2023 and i had a problem where there was too much oil and it would just shut it off.I had to.change 5 spark plugs on the 4 hour of the bike.When i took the injection out it ran perfect. Now i kinda want back the oil injection but i dont wanna mess eith the problem. Any tips?
I’m having the same problem. Runs great but fouls plugs about every hour of riding. Whenever I take out the spark plug, it has black liquid all over it. Any advice on replacing the oil pump, or how to check if it is damaged?
@jarederekson3338 replacing oil pump is super easy, will be in manual most likely otherwise pleanty of vids. Only real tests to do is the one he just showed. Pump should fire every 2 seconds roughly on idle.
One issue from owners is understanding the shape/configuration of the oil tank which can appear full or nearly full, yet when the bike is upright and you remove the right side panel, you can see the true capacity level. Also, when filling, tipping the bike to the right and letting the oil fill slowly will allow more oil capacity.

At that rev level the pump should fire once every 2 seconds and ramp up from there. You can see it doing that in the video.

@@DaddyKnives25should be getting roughly 3 tanks of fuel to 1 tank of oil. They use fck all and it's normal.
My 18 300RR is the exact same. It scares me.

I picked up a 2023 beta 250rr which mix oil would you recommend I know the manufacturer says liqui moly but it's hard to find it in stock around me
can this test be done without dumping fuel and adding pre-mix or was it needed since you removed the 2" of oil from the line? Thanks in advance!
you need to run it on premix
take the cap off the oil filler? or is there a breather there?
The oil pump is in the middle which is making the suction hard. But yea there is a breather in the oil cap. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

Hmm that is odd, usually the bubble moves with the oil. Maybe your oil is to thin and it is not pushing the bubble out. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
