I am always onboard with the Lexi videos. She did great. Lexi, grease those gaskets before you put them, and they will always be easy to get off. I would love a sticker. I am so glad your channel is doing so well. I am a long time subscriber.
Good thing she has small fingers and so glad and proud of her willingness to work on her bike. I was just across the street and down a block from AOMC Monday and today/ Thursday. Lexx will understand this. EEG and MRI. bike looks great.
I used to see your guys content suggested some time ago, and then oddly enough it stopped coming across for awhile. Completely forgot and then saw this one! Went ahead and subscribed. I recently purchased a 2021 Beta 300RR used, decked out in alot of the goodies that you guys have for the Xtrainer. Going from older two strokes dirtbikes and 4 stroke dual sports, I love the 300RR. Crazy capable bike that makes a mediocre rider like myself feel decent, LOL. I haven't done the oil injection pump removal kit on mine yet, and am torn. It is VERY nice and convenient on one hand, but on the other the prospect of failure does worry me. My buddy disabled his on his 2018 250RR after it malfuctioned and overfilled oil to the point of not being able to run the bike and filling his carburetor. Pretty much left him stranded. The oil on mine does get used very slowly - from my understanding, it's supposed to last through several tanks of fuel....which also burns pretty slow as well comprared to other two strokes I've ridden. I'm suprised that you had to cut the cooling fan mounts off of the radiator, that sucks. The PO on mine installed Beta factory radiator guards on which seem pretty stout, and he installed the cooling fan (not standard on the RR models) with them. I personally wanted the fan on my bike for screwing around, slower riding. So I was happy to see that already taken care of for me. Fun fact, AOMC is also one of the few websites that sells parts for the older Caviga-manufactured Husqarna dirtbikes as well. I've purchased from them a couple of times on them for parts on my bikes. Really nice looking Beta, I'll have to watch for more content now on it! And well done video!
Great Video! She should have her own channel. Beautiful, cute, entertaining and knows how to turn a wrench! All that aside, have y'all considered the larger fuel tank for the Xtrainer? I'm looking into it seriously for my 2021 XT.
I just saw something today that has me a little concerned about the Xtrainer. Apparently, there are many cases of the rear shock breaking. Have you guys heard of this? RUclips gave this video to me as a "suggested interest" video. I have not heard of this issue until I saw that video. I researched it deeper and it seems there are many that have experienced this shock failure. ruclips.net/video/zDorizbbGc4/видео.html&ab_channel=drtbkdave@@Straubberry
First thing, dump the crap shock and forks and replace with a Lanier...light years better. And you can get a custom tune and length. Get a set of wp forks with kyb inserts, just need the replace the bottom clamp. Good choice dumping the oil inj👍
You may need to rejet to compensate for the premix. Probably going to run lean as the premix oil will displace some of the fuel and make it less fuel to air.
great video! watching that Beta come apart makes me a proud KTM owner. I can take the tank off my Orange bikes in about 48 seconds lol Although, the only reason I know that is because stuff breaks that makes me take the tank off lol
Great video and the exact bike I'm currently considering. I appreciate the torture testing. It already has a lower seat height than most which is definitely something I'm looking for in my next. I actually have a trio reasons old(55), short (5'8"), and husky(Big Boned). Curious whether or not you noticed any issues with lowering like turning or bottoming out? I'm sure the cut fork springs help with the geometry? I also wanted to ask you looked at the 200RR? Thanks again for the great content! Oh and the new graphics look great and Alexis is becoming quite the bike tech or a real Master Beta Technician. 🙃
Correct me if I’m wrong and I’m sure someone will, however isn’t one of the reasons why folks buy a Beta vs any of the Japanese bikes is for the oil injection.
Awesome video but you can just remove the OI system, remove the M5 fitting from the manifold and block it with M5 bolt and washer. TPS can stay in place...
I was thinking in buying this as my first dirt bike because of the automatic oil injection so why remove it? I just want to understand as I'm new to the sport. THanks
I was looking into one of these bikes but I came across a lot of information saying that they're not good and they get squirrely and anything over third gear. What has been your experience cuz that's kind of keeping me away from buying one.
I never in a million years thought I would ever hear anyone say the words throttle position sensor and dirt bike in the same sentence. I know I’m dating myself but…. Whatever 😂
I would think a beta 200 would make a better bike for her being it weights somewhere around 211lbs and the 300 cross trainer around 239 before adding the weight of the mods
I am planning on getting a X trainer in the spring, just wondering why this (stupid?) Trend to temove the oil injection system is happening? Personally, after dealing with mixing fuel for decades, it is the reason I'm even considering getting a 2 stroke again 😂
If the pump fails the engine will become unhappy really fast. I don't know if there is a safety to kill the engine if the pump breaks. Then you are stuck on a trail somewhere. Is it really that hard to use premix?
@@davidwickboldt712 I understand that part, however, I've had Yamaha DT's from the early 70's with oil injection systems that still worked fine 40+ years later.. Yes, I've read the forum posts about folks who had had failures and I just don't think it is as big of an issue as it's made out to be. That said, if you are concerned, you could just run a 70:1 or 80:1 mix and leave the OI in place. These bikes run up to a 100:1 mix, depending on throttle position FWIW. Personally, i think if it was that big of a problem, Beta would have addressed it.. The problem I have (and delt with for decades of trail riding) is when you run low on fuel and are forced to stop in a small town/ farm/ steal gas from your 4 stroke buddies, then you need to figure out how to accurately measure/ mix fuel, not always as simple as you'd hope. I've always just carried 2 stroke "shot' bottles (for mixing 1 gallon of chainsaw/ weed eater fuel) but that's a PITA and if you are just dumping in gas from a random can/ pump without a meter, well...given the size of the stock tank (or even aftermarket), this seems very likely, at least where I ride..
because the x trainers are specifically known for blowing up due to oil injection failure. if you plan on keeping it i showcased everything you should do to your x trainer OI to help prevent failure. I also deleted my oil injection and made a video on that too
pro tip : if you want to get the dents outta your pipe and keep the nickel plating ..... make a cap you can hose clamp on the big end and stick a standard run of the mill pressure cleaner in the small end, you'll get wet but dents gone .......you're welcome
Some people have had the system fail. You don't get a warning light when it does. Pay attention to the condition of the big multi-pin plug under the seat, and make sure the oil line is properly attached to the intake manifold and all will be well. My X-trainer goes all day and uses about a egg-cup full of oil. I can just fill it up at any petrol station en-route. No way I'd revert to premix.
I think the check-engine light was on due to the disconected/removed TPS. Would have left it on the carb. The Racing-Versions of the RR Models also come with a TPS sensor stock like the Standard RRs but without Oilinjection. On the Oilinjection-Removal-kits from Beta here in Europe there also is no plug for the TPS. So I assume it should stay on the carb.
at 8:22 she installs the plug that is supposed to 'trick' the ECU into thinking the TPS is still present. She also talks about installing it near the beginning of the video. The thing is, there's also a sensor that feeds back from the oil pump, to validate that it's working within parameters (so it can warn if it's failed.) That, I think, is what Tanner's talking about re the pink wire.
@@RickGreen_McNutt That plug replaces the oilpump so the ECU thinks that the pump is installed and doesn't throw a code. But there is no plug for the TPS. This should stay on the carb and be plugged to the harness.
I apologize that my comment is unrelated to video but for what it's worth.. You'd be way better off on a KX100 or equivilent with some customizes, all these full sized bikes are just hindering your capabilities and experience. They're just not a correct match to your size & strength and just make trail life harder then it has to be.. Not at all saying you can't ride but it'd be night and day difference for you. The beta xtrainer has 58" wheelbase /36.5" seat height / 240 lbs. That's larger in specs then a 2000 KDX 200. Most guys standing 5'8" 175 lbs could benefit to lower and lighten either one of those bikes, there's no way a trainer is a good fit for you. Kx100 compares at 51.5 wb / 34" seat / 170lbs, you'd match to that bike like a guy that is 5'10" 180 lbs matches to a popular model 250cc, right now your matched more like a guy that's 5'6" 155 riding a 450cc, it's just not beneficial, especially in the trails.. No disrespect here, just wisdom...
Why would you take off the oil injection? Makes no sense it actually lubricates it better more precisely nice bike but honestly too big for her a beta 200 would have been a better bike
because if the oil injection fails (which there has been a decent amount of beta's with OI failure) You will destroy your engine (i have a video covering this)
I am always onboard with the Lexi videos. She did great. Lexi, grease those gaskets before you put them, and they will always be easy to get off. I would love a sticker. I am so glad your channel is doing so well. I am a long time subscriber.

got a ton of beta vids if you wanna scratch the itch more!
I enjoyed the transformation and the bike looks great! I like the graphics, that spot of red with the red frame is cool
That ended up looking amazing. Nice to incorporate the caduceus too. Cool touch. And whats better than a vid with the Alexis smile
Really well edited, informative and enjoyable video. Lexi is a charismatic presenter and her "theme music" is classic 😆
Her nails hate it but we love it. 2 stroke maintenance, so therapeutic.

I’d slap one of those stickers on my bike in a second! What a sick build, time to get it dirty! Nice work guys
Gosh she’s so cute, and rides and works on her bike! Yup, she’s a keeper😊
Great video! Bike looks great! Haven't seen you guys in awhile. Good to see Adventures Daily again

Not a chance a pressure washer would work

Do you have to rejet if just adding the FMF spark arrestor ?
no you should not! only if you're changing the expansion pipe
