Its almost like you was reading our minds, I was really wanting to understand why you would want to adjust the pv on our bikes, and now I know
With it all the way out the bike was way snappier and felt really responsive.
Is out to the left?
Awesome love the videos just bought a 200 from buddy great info
I’m pretty sure I want to buy my bike from you because you’ve done so much good with these videos.
That's Awesome, thanks for checking out our RUclips channel! When you are ready give us a call! Enjoy The Ride, Jared
Good one!!🔥🔥
Thanks 🔥 Enjoy the ride, Jared
Nice vid, thanks!
No problem! Enjoy the ride, Jared
Another huge + for Beta over the tpi/tbi bikes. My ‘21 xcw Did Not like messing with the PV. It would require a remap and then a PV adjustment to get it to match the characteristics.
Also the thumbscrew accessory is pretty handy.
Good Morning, I was curious about the Husky and if it would need to be remapped.. I didn't want to touch it because of that. Thanks for the info. Enjoy the ride, Jared
I wish I knew the diameter and thickness of the washer that comes with the JD kit. I had that kit in my last Beta. You remove the inner spring and place the washer on the backside of it which adds preload. I don’t have that kit in my current Beta 300 but would be simple enough if I knew what washer to get. Appreciate the video. On my 2nd Beta and love it
Great little video! Short but very comprehensive. I would never have expected that much range in power adjustment, or that it was that easy. I will definitely be trying it out on my new 300RR. Cheers from North Eastern Ontario Canada.
Glad you found it helpful! Enjoy the ride, Jared
This video was so helpful I have a 2021 gas gas mc 125 and I adjusted the power valve all the way out and it rips. Thanks.
Glad it helped Enjoy The Ride, Jared
Jared, what' s the factory PV setting on the Xtrainer? I read 2.5 turns in from flush but wanted to see if you can confirm that. Thanks!
What happens if you just Turn it out half a Turn from completely inwards does it rub on the piston on the 125 race Edition?
hi guys! great video, so useful! i just have a quick question, how many turns to the inside does the power valve has? 4 or 5 or 6 or more? i just try this with my bike 2022 300 rr, and im in 5 turns to the inside (right direction) but i dont know if i am wrong with this, i have check the manual and it doesnt says nothing about it, so hope you can tell me this detail, thanks a lot! regards!
Good Morning, basically you will get to a point where the screw starts to skip and not go any further. At that point it has unthreaded itself all the way and the spring is just keeping pressure against the machined case. If that happens I would screw it back out 1/2 a turn so you know its back in the threads. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
Hi Jared. Short question regarding the springs, i have the green one with the auxiliary white installed on my 22 300 RR. In the box i have also a yellow and green auxiliary. Can you explain the difference and which are possible combinations? Thanks
Did you ever find out? I'm curious as well
@@brettsaspari5369 not really, just got a short info from my dealer that for RR, white and green must be used. That's all
Does changing to the rain map have a similar effect to turning in the PV? I imagine if I'm in the middle of a race, it would be easier to adjust to the different map vs adjusting the PV.
Good Morning, the mapping is more of a computer controlled change where the power valve is mechanical. But yes they both change the power. My suggestion is to find where you like the power valve adjusted and just leave it. There is no need to stop in the race to adjust it again. The rain map is easier for you to toggle back and forth. Enjoy the ride, Jared
So.. I'm not expert.. but in the video after screwing the power valve adjuster IN, he said there was "no bottom end at all". Isn't that the point of keeping the power valve closed longer at low RPM, to increase more low end torque? It's my understanding that turning the adjust OUT will make the engine more linear, but the trade off is LESS lower end torque.
Yes screwing the adjuster “in” makes the power valve open later so the engine will feel flatter until it opens. Once it opens it really takes off. Taking the adjuster out gives that power sooner at a smoother curve. Enjoy the ride, Jared
So out for Supercross in for slippery stuff then, but been a 125 I would always want it out as it's not got that much power anyway and would always have a linear power if it was a 300 I'd have it in and just use the torque most of the time then use the hard hit of power for fast sections
Would these adj help in getting the front end up at slower speeds? Trying to get front end up from a standstill. Like to make a tight turn around.
Good Morning, well a lot of a pivot turn is throttle/ clutch control. BUT if you screwed that adjuster IN it would create more of a HIT in the power so I would think that would help get that front end off the ground! Enjoy The Ride, Jared
What do you have your suspension settings at for jumps/track like this?
Hmm we pretty much don't change anything, just hop on and ride. If you downside the jumps like you are suppose to then you won't need much adjusting. Enjoy the ride, Jared
When you turn it out to get more low end, do you lose anything on the top end (in real power) or just the hit? If you don't lose anything up top, why would you want a late hit high in the rpm?
Pretty sure you don't loose the power up top but the main reason why you would may want to tighten it up is in order to not have to be that precise on low rews for slow and technical stuff. It makes a bigger difference between when the bike is in low power mode (good for those slow technical sections) or in max power once it does hit. Basically if you feel the bike is a bit jumpy on the technical stuff try to turn it in a bit, I'd say.
Good Morning, great question! No you don't loose anything it just changes when the power valve opens. So in the tighter terrain I would rather not have a late "hit" that could shoot me off track. I want the power smoother so I will back it out like the video. Enjoy the ride, Jared
Well said. I'm having an issue of such little throttle giving me too much power. Too easy to "whisky throttle" down low at a valve in the flush setting. Going to turn it in a full turn to see if it makes it a little easier to control down low. @@matthiasfabrizziomanthey3080
So would the power valve being all the way in be a reason for my bike being unable to preform a fast and snappy pull away ?
Hmm no, turning it all the way in would actually make the power hit harder once the proper RPM has been achieved! Enjoy The Ride, Jared
Is this the same principle for a husqvarna 2019 tx 125 ? I want a more harder aggressive hit what way should I turn it ?
Good Morning! I am not 100% sure on the Husqvarna.. If it has the power valve housing just play with it! See what you enjoy!
Morning, okay thanks for the reply, will have a play with it , cheers
22 beta 200rr how many turns out for max low end grunt ?
Good afternoon, everyone has their own thoughts but I would turn the power valve adjuster completely out for maximum low end. Enjoy the ride, Jared
