one thing i think can be true is the green stands for green parts of north of iran (trees and jungles) ,white for our deserts and red for our warm south.

Tbh i'm not a big fan of Iran's current flag, or any flag with religious symbols on it. We should have had a flag with a national symbol, like Farvahar on it!

Farvahar (Frawahr) is a religious Mesopotamian symbol, coming from Semitic roots (google "Ashur").
Iranian Folks Cross also has its roots in the Celtic paganism, but nowadays it's associated with Christianity. Similarity between symbols don't make them the same, Faravahar is a divinity in the Iranian culture which makes it a perfect emblem for our flag.
There are also records that lion and sun first was used by Timurids who were a Persinate Mongols, by your logic it's not a Iranian symbol either!
