I'll be buying either this TV or the samsung 49Q70. I think I might go with the samsung in the end because it has much lower input lag (15 ms vs 40), better blacks, and I've read that this sony has some problems with HDR and black bars, lighting them up, whereas the Q70 seems to handle those scenes better.
Nice TV but clunky stand. 100 Hz panel or better?
Hi, the picture panel, as far as we know, is a native 100 Hz screen for faster refresh rates.
The stand is that way in order to accomodate a soundbar
@Marks Electrical At what resolution was the input lag measured? 1080p or 4k?
Hi, we measured it in the generic game mode, so 1080p.
Looking to buy this TV, along with the PS4 Pro. How is the screen uniformity?
Hi, the screen uniformity is very good, from what we've seen. The direct full array backlighting and dimming zones really make a difference.
ps5 gonna come out this year.
This model or Q70R ?
Hi, they are both excellent TVs at this size, with direct full array backlighting. The Q70 also has an ultra black filter, so there isn't much in the way of reflection on screen.
The picture panel in 49Q70 is only 60Hz. Also I had a chance to test both of them and white looks much better at 49XG90.
@@kajetanmazur2425 Hi, I am undecided between the 49Q70R and the Sony KD-49005BU too which one do you prefer and why? Will be using them for Movies and Gaming. I also noticed that I can find the same Q70R in 55 inch for the same price.
Which Sony model are we talking about? The Q70 series are particularly good, as it's where direct full array backlighting begins, but all of this year's QLEDs have AI gaming.

Hi, as good if not better, in our opinion, particuularly with the backlighting system that's direct full array rather than direct. Hope that helps.
Tell me imput lag on the TV series 49 FX8596 or new series 49 GX8596? 120 reduces lag input lag?
Hi, we've not tested these models for input lag as yet, but the higher frame the lower the lafg, that's true enough.
@@MarksElectrical Do you think the input lag is connected with Android
sort of because game mode works through the operating system, but it's more the frame rate that makes gaming flow.
@@MarksElectrical The series is not on Android 43XF7096 has input lag of 19.8 , the series 43XE7096 had to 19.8, the series 43XG7096 another matrix, but also the system is not Android which still it will have input lag, the colors on it better, but for games You wrote 33 expect it would be very interesting to watch
41ms is pretty bad IMO. Bare in midd pc monitors do 1-8ms and iMac is more like 12ms and my current Samsung tv from 2011 is 30ms in game mode. It’s put me off....
