  • Here's a instructional video on how you can adjust the size of your bracelet at home. You don't really need any fancy tools for this one. Just a spring bar tool, some sort of a small screwdriver/pin or something like that and you're golden! In this video I resize and shorten the folded link bracelet of my Seiko 5 SNKL41.
    Had a cold when I shot the video, so bare with me. Also somewhat fiddly since this was the first time I adjusted any bracelet myself so kind of figured it out along the way :)
    Hope it helps!

    Thank you! It's a bit fiddly and required more pressure than I expected but it worked in the end. :-)

      My pleasure! Yeah same thing when I filmed this video😁 I think you can see the table/camera shaking when I apply pressure haha..

    Just wanted to say thank you man. I resized my folded link watch using a thumbtack and a spoon. Lol saved me $30.

    Thank you , very helpful video. On my bracelet, which is to big for me, I can see an arrow on three links either side of the clasp but cannot see a hole to insert the tool, so I am still unsure what to do. Have you any suggestion?

      I had to use incredible amount of force for such a little thing on my casio watch, very badly engineered links. Had no trouble on Seiko.

    What if the folded link bracelet does not have the little part at the top that your force open? Can you tap from the bottom to remove the part?

      Cricket Truax Hi! Hmm interesting question.. if you are sure that the pin is exposed on both sides then I’d say go for it. Now watching this video (since the watch is no longer with me) I can’t get a good look at the other side of the bracelet. I think the pins on this one don’t go all the say through. I’ll get another chance to have a look in a few months.. what watch bracelet are you sizing up? That might help me to answer :)

      @@NordicWatchChannelinterested in this one for the snxs79 bracelet. seems like it’s similar to the watch bracelet you featured in the video. i need to take some links off from one side and add more to the other so i can relocate the clasp

    After I removed the L shaped metal, I cannot take out my link. Because there's no pin sort of thing that connects them together.
    Its like they're stuck together.
    Do you have any idea what might be the solution?

    • @NordicWatchChannel
      @NordicWatchChannel  2 года назад +1

      At least this model I show on the video has kind of hooks that hold the links somewhat together. Try pushing the links toward each other and then lifting one away.

      @@NordicWatchChannel I tried doing that but it didn't work.
      I got impatient so I twisted it a little and surprisingly, it came off.
      I readjusted my band.

    I hate all bracelets on any watch i have personally owned, from a $2k plus Monta down to this stupid Casio A1000 on a metal bracelet I've been trying to size forever. I followed the instructions here exactly and the damn links wont budge. I'm just going to throw this thing back in the drawer.

    Why do all you people take 1 and another, just take the damn two links out in one go, and instead of repeating every other ytuber, you do it properly.

    • @NordicWatchChannel
      @NordicWatchChannel  Месяц назад

      Oh you mean 1 from each side? If you take all of the links from the same side, the clasp will end up being on the side of your wrist in stead of being under it..

    • @EmeraldHill-vo1cs
      @EmeraldHill-vo1cs Месяц назад +1

      @@NordicWatchChannel No, a lot have at least an extra 2 links on one side,And fine tune at the clasp, i know what you mean.

    • @NordicWatchChannel
      @NordicWatchChannel  Месяц назад

      That's true. The "6 o' clock" side has more links initially, and if you remove an odd number of links, the larger amount should be removed from that side. But let's say you remove 5 links or so, then you should definitely remove from both sides.
