I was looking at the Whipple Intercooler. I might have to reconsider.

Excellent choice of intercooler. I personally went with Ingen on the cold air intake and charge pipes, but what with the Cobb on the intercooler. Hoping they release the engine tune soon.!!

That looks amazing. Did you have to move your pre-collision assist sensor? If so, where did you move it to?

Have you thought about putting some type of mesh over the opening, so that when off-roading, stones and debris don't damage the cooling fins?

you can just remove the slats and leave the motor assembly plugged in and it wont throw a light or a code.I added a high clearance one from wagner tuning.

Your vehicle will not require a tune but you will gain very little without one. At $900 for the IC I would want significant gains in performance and that isn't going to happen without increasing boost with an aftermarket tune. With a tune it will normally raise the boost and with more boost comes more heat and it's the IC's job to remove that heat from your intake air stream. With increased boost the factory IC gets heat soaked with one good WOT pull. The original IC is adequate for the factory tune but you may experience some loss in acceleration on extremely hot days or when towing up mountains. The vehicle will reduce the boost pressure and pull timing to prevent detonation if your intake air temp gets too high and you feel that as a loss in power when accelerating.

@@tcabill I wouldn’t want to gain crazy amount of boost. But the “tuning” process does intrigue me. Would love to have more up front torque. However, my ride is a daily driver, weekend trail rider. I’ve looked into the ford procal tuner

@@djkilpatrick5256 You feel the difference with the Ford tune and the transmission shifts better but your not going to have a "WOW" moment. I have the ford tune stacked with a piggy-back tune and I run E30 in the tank, it's pretty impressive.

only change one thing at a time and test... if you dont you will not know what made the difference and or how much

You "wish you did it sooner" yet you have no idea how it will impact performance?
