Hi Travis and Suzi! Awhile back you guys reacted to my request for Franz Biebl’s (Frahnz BEE-bil) setting of the Ave Maria sung by Voces8 (Voh-chez ate). Tuckr23 wrote in the comments to check out their rendition of Carrickfergus, which is an Irish song that’s even more haunting and emotional than Danny Boy. So I found the video and listened to it, and she was absolutely right to recommend it. Full disclosure: I got pretty choked up listening to it, and I usually avoid requesting anything that’s too sad because I feel bad about making anyone else cry. But you know what? Eff that - I’m sharing it anyway because their performance is so magical. I hope you guys are okay with this.

Hi there. I'm a classical musician and choralist- It's pronounced "Vo-ches" Eight. This is a premier vocal ensemble. Their leader used to be a member of the famous "King's Singers" based in England. So great to see you guys react to one of my favorite groups. :)

Have you heard the song Grace by Jim McCan? A true love story and truly devastating. It is a modern Irish anthem sung everywhere here in Ireland about an Irish man Joseph Mary Plunkett and his betrothed Grace Gifford. Truly and utterly haunting.
