Thoren....EXCELLENT video Sir. Thanks. Question: The plate loading horns look awfully close to the foot plates. Can a standard 45 LB plate be loaded without it coming into contact with the edge of the footplate while squatting?
well shucks i didn’t realize how versatile that machine can be! i don’t even have a home gym nor do i plan on having one but i enjoyed this review for sure
I use Henny strap to hold barbell, GymPin's Belt Squat landmine attachment and do belt squats and takes up no more gym space and is a vertical squat like this and can hold onto rack.
Hey have had the BOS, Titan belt squat both fairly similar to each other, for the price you cant go wrong. $579 on Amazon now. Two question does it have any adjustable safety stopper like others so if your stuck at the bottom you wont get crushed? Any idea what % is the actual weight lifted most are around 60%. Thanks and great video.
I also think for the money and space the Kabukki bar is a better investment. I have it from Rogue and its amazing and so comfortable I rarely even do belt squats anymore unless I want to take back and hips out of it and lift heavier which I sometimes do.
I appreciate the review as I’ve been eyeing this product. I just wanted a compact belt squat as my garage space is too tight in comparison for a SquatMax MD or a Rhino.
Thank you so much for the review. I couldn't find any other videos on this and I'm considering buying one. Im around 6' as well. Do you think it's possible to squat very deep ATG on this machine? Similar to how Dr Mike Israetel from Renaissance Periodization does them.
Hey Thoren, Thanks for the review of this machine. You're the only person I've found to review a Sydee Belt Squat. How is the machine holding up? Any regrets or concerns? I'm looking to purchase a belt squat and sydee is at the top of my list at the moment because of the great price. I'll probably need to store out outside, under a roof, hopefully it can take the hot weather and humidity, and won't rust right away. I'll probably coat it with something rust resistant. Would definitely appreciate an update on how the machine is performing. If you have an affiliate link, I can use that at my time of purchase.
Hey Thoren! This company also makes another style of belt squat similar to that of the Bells of Steel or Titan Fitness. Do you know how you would compare the two models or which might be better?
kool when I read belt squat I thought it was the belt u use when lifting weights lol nice to know and guessing u cant be skipping leg day now with this bad boy u got here :-)
I got the Syedee 2000 lb rated leg press and I also was surprised by how well it performs. I mean I had lower expectations because it was a low price but it handles everything I need it to do.
@@ThorenBradleylove this review. Just bought this exact machine. please tell me how I can hold the handle bar while squatting. when the handlebar releases if moves away from me and when I pull it back toward me, it hits the weight swing arm as I squat. what am I doing wrong Sir?
You’re not supposed to pull the handle forward unless you are done with your set and ready to rerack the weight. They are there for your stability while doing the movement.
Hi curious what you think about this now? How much is your max on this? How's the leverage on the plates I've used lever arms where you might be lifting 300lbs but feels < 200lbs! This looks like a long lever thus should be at least 80-90% of the weight.
It sounds like for someone like me that is a 6'4", 300lbs, size 12 shoe powerlifter, this belt squat machine might not work for me. My old gym had a pit shark machine which I loved. My home gym doesn't quite have the space for the Rogue or other brands. I really miss doing belt squats.
They are great in traditional splits to give you a break from axial loading in a program.....so I totally feel you. but yeah, don't buy this one! Not great for you!
"Yeah, that design is alright, but what about people 6' 2" to 7' 1"?" "Hmmm, I think our (Cheapest on the market?!) belt squat, that is built to a price point that accommodates 98% of people, is just fine...Besides, if you're over 6' 2", statistically you make vastly more money than people under that height and can afford a more expensive belt squat...so, SUCK IT!"
This machine seems pretty light weight for most guys. My experience is machines like the Pit Shark, Rogers Hip Press, Hammer Strength V-Squat are "plate hungry", 800lb is not a crazy amount. I heard the steel is light gauge (14 gauge), is that true? Do you know what the shipping weight for the machine was? I don't see product weights on the Walmart site. Thanks
Yeah! That doesn't really describe the way I exercise....but I totally think if you are a power lifter looking to just load plates and go to 90 degrees. Probably not the best choice. Different strokes for sure.
cant understand how to use handle once it is released when i stand. if you pull on it, it will hit the weight swing arm. can someone tell me what im doing wrong?
Is this a pit shark knock off ? I notice with this type of machine is short people like myself have issues with using it as well . I love using it but can’t always put back the machine in its starting position . #shortgirlproblems 😂

Thank you for showing what this machine is for, because I had no idea. I appreciate it. It’s a really versatile piece of equipment. Cool 😎
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much. I just came across this same one and this was the only review I could find
Nice thorough review. I'm sold on this belt squat based on your review and of course the price is great for a home gym.
thanks !!
💪
I'm really enjoying all the fitness related content that you've put out!
Great review was just looking at this item your review helped with my decision to purchase.

It fits 45 plates no problem
This is so cool! Thanks again for these videos!! :)
U are very nice comment
Thanks, been looking for a review for this belt squat for a long time.
Oh badass! Yeah, so far so good! no problems, yet!

Nice review. Can you go azz to grass depth with it? That was my problem with the Bells belt squat. I could not get good depth
You could always add some mats or something to get more depth.

Did you get this?

Did yours come with assembly instructions? All I got was something with the parts numbered, that's it.
How much weight have you lifted on this machine?
How many boxes were delivered? I only received half of the stuff and can't complete putting it together. Waiting for a response from them.
Just got one and it came in two, but still gotta put it together so hopefully it’s all there.
@@codycampbell6417how’s this holding up?
How much can you or have you loaded on this? Thx
800 I believe!
The glasses 😍😍😍

That's a super important point, I should have said that too. I could have been a little biased because I didn't expect it to be great...good point

How much weight do you personally have to use for to be effective?

Don’t pull back toward your body. Either go hands free or push it away from you
Love from Nepal
I just bought this for $260 on temu.....
Swear!? Was it the full sized one!?
Yeah hopefully. Says it’s shipped from the US. Should arrive in a couple days.

Is the belt squat good for someone who is 5’2 🏋🏽
Yeah! You just wont use that chain to connect! direct hookup belt to machine arm
Gracias 🥰
