This was such a a great video, thank you!! I'm curious what do you typically use for exterior paints? And also if you don't mind, do you have an opinion on SW's new(ish) emerald rain line? I'm a pretty die hard Emerald girl for my interior projects and just starting to get bids for my exterior (I've hired for interior but defaulted to doing it myself after a really bad experience a few years back at an old house, so I'm nervous for the hiring part). Thanks!
with the way you saying paint a two level house with each side with around 700 SQ only to paint vinyl siding so you talking around $2,800 if I want to use the $1 per SQ that includes the material? what about the scaffold?
Maybe my math is off, but at $1 sf for aluminum siding for a 1500 sf house (2 story), with lots of open space between a dozen windows - should run, max: $3000?
@@klappenbergersonpaintingha2933 I wasn't deducting for the windows - just mentioning it because you mentioned that lots of windows makes it more difficult. So, assuming no deductions - is a 1500 sf 2 story house going to run about $3k - or is my math incorrect?

I'm at 2.50 a sqft + materials and a 10% mark up
$2.50 per coat or total.

Companies don't deduct labor for windows and doors because they actually slow production down by about 30%.

@@blujeans9462 The estimate is not calculated by interior living space (sq ft) but by the sq ft of the area to be painted.
