No better fishing on the planet than the October (Fall) Caddis hatch on the St. Joe. While everyone is crazy about elk at this time of year this is in my opinion the best time to fish the St Joe. All the way through until the snow is falling.
Hi Matt - that was skafars wax. It allows you to put a sighter on your tippet if you need to go shallower than you are rigged for. Easy to put on and it rubs right off if you need it to. Some people are just running tippet without a sighter and use this to put the sighter at the appropriate depth.

I agree. I'll be back this October again.
That looks like myrtle creek
Not familiar with it but it must be beautiful as well.
@FlyFishingWithMike myrtle creek is a tributary that empties into the st Joe. Several years ago when I fished it, it was full of cutthroat
What was that solution you rubbed on your line, on the euro line midway through the video? Great fish, Thanks!
