Why do you need pure oxygen in your mineral tanks? Seems like over kill.

The bacteria (heterobator and nitrosemonous,etc) that breaks down the waste needs a lot of oxygen to work. Also, oxygen does degassing-expells smell, co2 etc that may be in there.
