As for summoners like Archi and Abraxas I would put them slightly higher than you have because the enemy AI tends to focus summons before characters, meaning your characters will live longer and have more chance to get some kills of their own. The Xenos tier list needs updating now Boss and Snappa got reworks!!
About deep strike. You have to build your team around it, to work. I have this team: thadeus, angrax, vrask, sarquael, baraqiel and the biovore (in this order). I don't remember if anyone beat this team first time yet, and I used this team, for multiple war seasons now and we are playing on the second GW defence tier, so they are rare capped. Last time the enemy destroyed our medicae station, yet still they did a 3+ attempts on this team. And now 3 of these characters got a buff as well.
You mean you have this team in defence? So I would simply put revas against your units and revas will destroy all of them on turn 1. Simply because AI will put them right in front of revas

And with the buffed terminator armor, I don't know if re'vas can even kill 1 of them. Also btw this team is on the back, so maybe most people already used up their re'vas teams already? So having re'vas for this random team is already an if. But ether way after like 20+wars or so they always do great, even with our medicae destroyed. All I can say is, ether people are just simply that bad, and don't know how to deal with them, or just simply a good performance team. But I am curious now, what is your best performing team?
One thing I think that really needs to be considered for defense teams is, that they get a ton of stat buffs over player controlled versions. Yes the AI is horrible, but some characters just fare better with that extra hp which often prevents you from surgically killing off the big threats on the enemy team, like you could in Arena. Similarly a defense team can already have been successful in some way, if they kill 2-3 attackers, provided you are doing better on your own attacks. For that reason I actually think that Volk is relatively decent as a defensive unit. He becomes tanky enough that just one diving enemy can't snipe him and he has so much damage, that he can uite easily oneshot an enemy himself. Generally I think that characters that can threaten to either just take out an enemy outright, or have a chonky aoe (which then makes everyone else a killthreat) are good for defense, because it's so much harder to deny them with the defensive buffs.
Chaos only needs a few utility units to properly set them apart. A good buffer comparable to eldryon perhaps. An overwatch unit would mix things up. As well some support in the form of mobility (deathguard are super sloggy)
Those are all valid suggestions and tbh we have a character in Pestillian that meets 2/3 of your criteria: Damage and Movement Buffer. However, his damage buff is quite subpar when compared with Eldryon and as Farseer has pointed out in the past it is not consistent to buff Melee and ranged separately as he ends up providing lackluster bonuses. Should they rework/buff Pestillian, we would see a lot more usage of Chaos characters across all game modes.
@@MetalizedCome I feel that Pestillian should be a core buffer for chaos - he is like your Middle Earth orc drummer that is supposed to cheer his brethren on the battlefield!
Ye chaos is faling behind in many modes axept in Legendary event where they are the power house, and Guild wars some defens teams can be stronger depending on what map it is but its rng sow. And the chaos defens team do best in gold rank defens line. Or mix them in other team, typhus god with many team to reduce armour with contagion. But many chaos characters ned to be with 2+ other chaos characters for there pasive/ aktive synergise. And also right spot put characters in the team for going from left to right sow have characters like toth before psykers make him never use his skill. Xenos/Imperial characters can mix alot for many say frendly units when chaos is... only chaos.
