I needed some string lights for the backyard and did a small amount of research into the market offerings. I found there are multiple offerings, in varying qualities and features, of essentially the same(ish) product. It makes sense though, how different can string lights really be from each other? It's basically an extension chord with light sockets built into it.
The one product I found to be the best, in my opinion, is the Costco product. It seemed to have the longest length with the most bulbs per foot and seemed to be heavier duty than most all at a pretty good deal (when on sale). I purchased 2 sets while they were on sale knowing full well that I could return one or both if I didn't end up liking or needing them.
However, as you see in the video, I unbox, install and review this set and I really like them. So, I'll be keeping at least this one box. Not sure where I could use the other box yet. Comment below if you have a good idea about where to use them!

I bought 3 sets of these almost 4 years ago. I have them on for 6 to 8 hours every single night (on a dusk + X hour timer). All 72 bulbs are still working fine after four years (10,000 hours or so)!

These type of lights are not suited to be dimmable.

In regards to brightness the reason I'm asking is I've built a9 hole mini golf course and as I live in the desert looking to use it as night golf in summer as a consequence looking at adequate lighting for the course. Do you think these festoon lights will suffice or you think other lighting will be needed. Once again thanks for reply. Your time is appreciated.

These lights are good if you want it to be bright. Good as your main light but they don't give you a glowing cozy light if that's what you want
How to avoid odd gaps where you connect 2 strands because most brands make odd length cord ends where they connect?
Cut the wire, and solder them together.
Fold and tape the extra feet of cord to give you the desired look you want.

Too much to be cozy, I bought similair and dimmable but they're still way to bright on the lowest settings in the tuya app with so many bulbs. when it's enough light for shooting a video it's bright.

Yeah, idk, there’s no on/off switch, you gotta plug them in to turn them on, they aren’t dimmable, I’ll pass, thanks anyways.

The bulbs are plastic, not glass.
nah not a good idea to install lights too far down as you are trying to light up your space Not outside the space. Better to watch what Hampton Bay recommends as lights are 4" inside overhead..
